Author’s POV

Emma was panicking, seeing how suddenly things had turned around. Without wasting a second, she grabbed her phone and dialed Asher’s number.

But no matter how many tis she tried, he didn’t pick up.

"What are you doing, Brother Asher..." she muttered under her breath, biting her nails in tension.

Because of Seraphina, Asher had told her to call him brother as well, since he wanted to get close to everyone dear to Sera, and Emma was one of them. And since then, Emma and Asher had beco unexpectedly close, talking about Sera every now and then.

During the last few weeks while he was away, he would often call Emma late at night, asking if Sera had eaten, if she had slept well, or if she had looked down at any point in the day.

And slowly, Emma started taking an interest in him when she learned through Sera that Asher was a musician too, and as a music lover, she started stalking him on social dia.

Now, Emma followed all his social dia handles religiously. She had even fallen in love with his music and would always listen.

She had beco his number one fan!

When she couldn’t reach Asher over the phone, she instinctively opened his Instagram to see if he had posted anything that might give her a clue.

Thankfully, there was a post he had posted about four hours ago.

"Will land in my city in four hours... Excited to see my baby sister!!!"

Emma’s eyes widened. He was already here, in the city? Then why was he not picking up her call?

Thinking all that, she scrolled through the comnts habitually, and as expected, the internet had lost its mind.

"Look... He’s at it again!! "

"I’ve seen couples feeding public dog food... but what do we even call this sibling madness?!"

"Big Brother Asher... you’re too possessive. Who would even dare to marry her now?"

"@Listhestar — lissa, can I be your sister-in-law? I swear I can love you as much as your brother does!"

"To the person above... get in line. You’re number 5,000,000!"

Emma smiled faintly at the comnts, but her chest was tight with worry.

Asher had no idea what was happening right now.

"The way this man posts about his sister, and then there’s my boyfriend who hasn’t even texted good morning for weeks.

"Bro! Leave so love for the rest of the siblings in the world. We can’t compete with you!"

"lissa is literally living every girl’s fantasy life... Damn! How I wish I had a brother!"

"If my brother even rembered my birthday, I’d throw a party, LOL!"

The more Emma scrolled, the more she saw comnts about how lucky lissa was.

"What the hell..." Emma muttered under her breath, her thumb paused from scrolling ahead. She wanted to throw the phone.

These people had no idea what they were talking about.

None of the posts Asher had made in the past few weeks were about lissa. Every picture or caption that he posted was all for Seraphina, who had never even bothered to check his posts at all.

The people online were blind and foolish. They were flooding lissa with praises and sweet words without even knowing the truth.

"She’s not even the one he’s talking about..." Emma whispered, staring at the comnt section. Her heart was clenching; she just wanted to leave a comnt and tell them all to stop being delusional.

She pinched between her brows in annoyance.

First, Seraphina was thrown out of class. She stood there in the hallway all through lunch as if she had committed a grave sin.

And now, just when Emma thought it was enough punishnt for her, Sera got called to the dean’s office.

Nothing was going the way it should!

"God knows what’s going on in there..." Emma said to herself and dialed Asher’s number again. "Why in the world are you not picking up!?"

She was pacing back and forth, gripping her phone tightly as her palm had beco sweaty.

"I’ve already picked up," Suddenly, a voice ca through the speaker. His tone was calm but sohow sounded excited.

Emma’s eyes lit up. "Ah—Brother Asher!" She almost yelled in excitent.

There was a silence for a while, as Asher had distanced his cell phone from his ears.

"Why are you yelling?" he asked, his voice still quiet.

"I—Sera’s in trouble!" Emma didn’t wait and told him. "That teacher threw her out of the class today, and she was out till lunch. Now she’s been called to the dean’s office. And... and I think they called Mrs. Lancaster!"

Emma said all those in a single breath, while Asher exhaled and stopped what he was doing!

"They called mother?" he asked slowly, clenching his teeth, as his hold on the steering tightened.

"Yes! I tried calling you earlier too, but—" Emma said in a guilty tone/

"I was flying," Asherb cut her off. "I just landed."

Emma blinked in shock. "You’re already in the city?"

"Yes," to which Asher simply responded.

"Where are you right now?" Emma asked, controlling her excitent.

"Outside the school gate!"

Her eyes widened. "W-What?! You’re here?!"

Asher had been dying to see Seraphina the mont he landed in the city. He didn’t tell her in advance, and wanted to surprise her. The whole world might have known he was coming, thanks to his dramatic post, but not her.

He’d even driven himself to her school, leaving everything behind, just to see her face again.

But the mont he stepped near the gate, he got the news that Seraphina was in trouble and with her teacher on top of that!

He paused for a second, and he almost couldn’t digest the news.

His little sister, who had always been quiet, obedient, and soft-spoken, was causing trouble in school?

This news made him excited, and instead of getting angry, his lips curled up into a crooked smile.

However, he wasn’t letting that teacher go who had made her stand for too long!
