Cole sat in his seat with expectant eyes as he waited for the new set of challengers.

The crowd, on the other hand, was still extrely excited about the just-concluded battle.

They kept chanting Mardine’s na, resulting in the whole Arena shaking.

Slowly the chants started to die down as the referee got ready to introduce the new fighters.

"Students of the Spiriters Academy, are you ready?" he shouted out.

"Now it is ti for the events of the year, the topic of discussion,"

"A battle between the top fifties,"

"A show to determine who is best,"

"Ladies and Gentlen, I present to you our first contender... Jack the Brawler."

The one called Jack the Brawler walked out into the arena with an astonishing aura.

He moved with intense weightiness that felt like it could crush the world itself.

Cole could only watch with wide eyes as he involuntarily swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

"He is strong, really strong," Cole muttered.

"And his opponent is soone we all have been waiting for,"

"A man that commands respect without a bother, the one who breaks rules by just existing,"

By the ti the referee was busy introducing the opponent, the crowd had already gone extrely wild.

They had begun to shout out so loud, even Cole began feeling invigorated.

"I wonder who it is," Cole thought.

"Ladies and Gentlen, I give you Darius the Dominator."

Following his introduction, the one nad Darius began walking out as well.

Just like he was introduced, he didn’t appear to try to command respect, but he was getting it no matter what.

His being seed to radiate the aura of the heavens, resulting in it being completely revered.

"They are both going to be extrely strong," Cole said.

He repositioned himself to observe the battle fully, to gain as much as he could from it.

The two fighters were already in the ring, ready to throw big hands, but like a ritual, they both summoned their Innate spirit.

Like his na implied, Jack the brawler had an Innate spirit that perfectly fit the thing.

His Innate Spirit was a pair of dark, silvery brass knuckles. They floated silently in the air.

They didn’t just float there, though; its presence produced a sort of battle frenzy aura in the crowd as they all felt a large urge to battle.

"The Resonant Level is really powerful," He heard from beside him.

"Does being Resonant-Level co with being capable of inducing things like this?" Cole said to himself.

Darius’s Innate spirit was much simpler than his opponent’s; it was an elental Spirit, the most common one.

Floating above Darius’s shoulder was a large golden Lightning rod.

The lightning rod, just like the brass knuckles, bathes the whole Arena in an aura that represents every heavenly domination.

With all matters being cleared out of the way and the scenario being ready to escalate.

The referee imdiately ordered the start of the battle.

The two challengers didn’t rush forward or anything; they both stood their ground while staring the other in the eye.

Darius was the first to break the deadlock; he pushed his arm forward, sending out bolts of lightning at his opponent.

Jack, his opponent, didn’t stay in one position; he moved quickly across the ring, leaving the range of the lightning.

His steps left deep impressions on the ground as he charged around; with the dodge, he switched his form into an attack stance.

He rushed straight at Darius in an attempt to close the distance between them.

The two opponents had probably gotten information on the other’s battle style, resulting in a still partial deadlock.

Darius knew he couldn’t allow Jack to get close, so he activated another one of his abilities, shrouding his body completely in lightning.

This further improved his speed as he increased the distance between the two of them.

Cole watched the battle go on while he analyzed. He hadn’t forgotten his main reason for even coming here, and that was what he was thinking of.

"Which of these abilities can I try to record?"

Cole thought for a while before deciding on Darius’s abilities.

He previously had an Elental ability, so he wanted sothing like that again.

With that decision in mind, Cole activated the Eyes of Scrutiny.

It was his first ti using it since he had advanced, and Cole was quite shocked by the change.

The dizziness he felt every ti he activated the Eyes had reduced by a lot despite still being present.

This was even much clearer, and he could see much more with fewer efforts.

Having prepared all he had to, Cole looked at Darius to begin taking in the details of the abilities.

But Cole was imdiately shocked by what he was seeing.

He couldn’t see anything like he always did, no life energy flow, nothing.

Cole was quite taken aback at the reason for what he was seeing.

He cald himself down and tried to pay closer attention. Upon paying closer attention, Cole realized sothing.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t see anything; it was just that what he observed was more complex than he could fathom.

He couldn’t even begin thinking of getting anything out of sight in front of him.

No observation resulted in any observation at all.

He even activated the Eyes of Scrutiny to full power, hoping to get sothing, but he was t with the sa thing on getting an even harder headache.

After trying for a bit more, Cole decided to change his approach to things.

As a way of testing and experintation, Cole looked towards Jack.

Jack’s own state was even different from what Cole was observing previously in Darius’s body.

In Cole’s eyes, Jack looked like an impenetrable block; his vision couldn’t pierce through anything at all.

No observation resulted in No understanding.

In this situation, Cole was by a lot; he looked completely helpless while wondering.

"What could be the reason for this sort of reaction?" he asked again out loud.

"Shocking, right?"

"What else are you expecting?" the third-year student said.

"Is sothing wrong with the Eyes of Scrutiny?" Cole thought in fear.
