Leaving more of the group behind did not sit well with Clark, but he trusted Ralph and Ella. they were powerful within their own right. But more so, the fact that he also saw that Reese was separating from them to handle all the beasts that were attracted to the group.
This would leave them to face the large group of cultists with fewer strategies and less strength. But believing that would only make him weaker. That was why he trusted in Maria, who was pushing him forward.
"Increase the heat with your blue flas and avoid any attacks from the cracked steel minotaur." Ella was calmly standing back as Ralph dodged the attacks of the minotaur. She was keeping herself calm while telling her beasts what to do.
The spirit infant had already taken a spot floating over their small fighting area. It was providing a spiritual boost to Ralph And his molten boar. The results were him and his partner moving faster. Being able to dodge the attacks that were more wild than anything because of how the minotaur acted.
The less intelligent and more bestial attcking was better to fight than if Ralphw as fighting a person. He knew that the thods that beasts used were all based on their instincts. Therefore, he could more easily convince the minotaur to attack him and bait him.
This led to the molten boar breathing out a toxic acidic fu from its stomach. The tals that broke down within the intense heat and acidic nature of the molten boars' stomach were always gathered there waiting to be used. Along with the alloys it could create just by controlling the tal energy, it had these fus to use too.
With the blue fla skeleton creating more of a wild heat around their entire fighting area and the sudden blast of acidic fus, the cracked steel minotaur was forced to retreat back. Its anger had pushed it to attack Ralph multiple tis. Weakening its energy slightly. On top of that, it was not feeling the acidic effects of what the molten boar had just breathed put on its body.
tal and acid were not always the best of friends.
The reason that the molten boar has suffered was due to poison in the first place. It caused the entire acidic build up that could have killed it. Now it was a uniquely mutated beast that could handle greater things than what other tal and fire type beasts could handle.
Specifically, controlling that acidic essence within its body. Beyond that, Ralph and Ella were creating the perfect environnt for them to beat a monster that had massive physical strength and resistances.
"Ella, your turn now!" The vial of potions from Maria had already been prepared by Ella as the heat was gathering and a steam from the molten boar and the general heat had been created. A steam that the cloud sprite could easily use for itself with its control over wind and water.
She tossed the vial on to the heated ground and the poison began to evaporate. With the control that the cloud sprite had, the cloud of numbing poison was pushed in to the air that the cracked steel minotaur was breathing. It lost the ability to feel pain as more of the acidic fus from the molten boar were pushed toward it as well.
The tough tallic skin on the body of the cracked steel minotaur had begun to crack just as its na suggested. This forced the earth energy to begin to grow compared to the deteriorating tal energy within its body.
As this beca evident, the cracked steel minotaur was getting more erratic. Not because it could feel the pain of its greatly unbalanced body. but because it was still falling to attack Ralph as he moved around and slashed in to its body with his axes.
Each attack was not slightly opening up wounds on the monster's body. Ralph was able to do this simply because of his partner's strength wearing away at the defense with tal based origin. He was just lucky to have worked closely enough with his partner to have the resistances necessary not be affected by the acidic fus.
If Ella had been closer and her cloud sprite wasn't working on it, she could have been greatly hard by the fus.
The constant attacks kept bleeding away more blood and weakening the monster. It was a battle of attrition, but between Ralph and Ella, they had sped up the process using their teamwork and general knowledge over their skills. Especially since Ralph and his partner could handle the greater heat needed to create the ideal environnt for all of this.
"Where did your master's orders go!? You spoke before, now you just growl like a monster!" Ralph taunted the cracked steel minotaur to push it to charge at him again. As it took that bait, he leaped to the side and watched it smash its weakened head in to a large boulder.
The boulder cracked, but one horn fell to the ground causing more blood to flow from the monster's head. He was sure that this was another massive blow to the monster. But it was numbed, it couldn't feel anything due to the poison from Maria. Even with its greater poison resistances, there was an aerosolized poison put directly in to its body, it had to work against the resistances.
"Ralphs, retreat back!" The reason that Ella had Ralph move back, was simple. The flas that the blue fla skeleton had spread were not needed any longer. The weakened body and the poison had been spread. Now, the wind aspect of the cloud sprite had been used differently.
It boosted the air that the blue flas received. Increasing the heat more and more as the blue fla skeleton drew its bone sword. When it struck down, intense flas covered the body of the monster they faced.
Without its tougher tallic protection, the flas began to eat away at this body. When they cleared, Ralph had already jumped in to the air. One hamr and one ax switched in to his hand. He pulled the fire energy using his bond with both his partners. As a result, the flas gathered around the ax.
Upon striking the minotaur, the hamr followed pushing the ax deeper in to the back of the neck or the minotaur. The second he pushed the fire energy deeper inside its body along with also cutting in to the vertebrae. The first bit of pain finally seeped through the numbing poisons that they had infected the monster with.
As a result, it released a guttural scream of pain before thrashing wildly. The worst possible thing to do with a blade within its neck.
With every movent, Ralph felt the proper ti to slam the hamr down again. The back of the ax being the perfect striking surface for the hamr. With each bust of fire energy perating its neck, the minotaur gradually slowed. This breathing cutting off. Its body shutting down.
Its head hitting the ground separated from its body.
Standing in the steaming ground, Ella watched as Ralph moved toward her. His face slightly pale as she realized he had breathed in a little more of the numbing poison than what she had expected.
Luckily, she and the others had always expected this sort of risk. Maria had been the first to find potions to purify this since she didn't want anyone within her group to accidentally beco hard by not feeling the damage of their body.
"Great fight." Ralph said this through a slightly slurred speech. The molten boar also huffed slightly as its body had beco darker. It had cooled down a lot after using so much fire energy and sending so much more tower Ralph for the final strikes of his hamr and ax.
"The amount of fus would have caused a lot more damage to this floor if they were not guided. I have my cloud sprite condensing them now. We can leave in a few monts. The rest of the soldiers will need to help us proceed." Ella was sure that she had used more energy than intended. Having all of her beasts playing a role here or there was still too great for her body.
But right now, she was very proud of everything.
"They will be done with everything by the ti we catch up anyways. Clark is going to crush that leader or whatever they call the monster in charge." Ralph's tone grew rougher while he tried to speak through numbed lips. But his tone said everything. That he completely believed that this was the end of the blood moon cultists at any cost.
Soldiers began to spill in around them. Maria pointed them toward the right direction while warning them of the dangers. The dwarven commander and the elven captain both took the information as they had just managed to catch up as well. This was far from over, but still, they would need to keep pushing through to catch the greatest threats who were making a last ditch attempt at true power.
