Clark threw his arms up and kept everyone back from the squirming blood needle worms. He quickly warned them all of the dangers that ca with these parasites. But before he could have Ralph begin to burn them more with his dragon welp and molten boar team, it started to drizzle.

Normally, a little rain would be fine. This was clearly a passing natural rain shower. However, it was at a ti that would make things smooch more dangerous than they should be. The blood needle worms could be able to travel on land much more easily while it rained. They needed the cooler environnt that the rain and water brought.

"It's starting to get worse here for us. There shouldn't be parasites to deal with like this. It seems like they were bred to be able to resist being out in the colder air and water. Look, they are still moving in the rain." Clark made the group back away more as the blood needle worms began to squirm toward them.

It wasn't that the blood needle worms were able to see them. They didn't have eyes. But they could sense the warmth of a living body. They might have hated the flas and intense heat, but they knew that a normal body was ideal for them to feat on. To use as a ho for more eggs.

"What do you an this isn't good? It's worse than not good. There could be hundred of these things around. I know about these things!" Reese dashed forward and raised his spirit steel sword. It buzzed with determination while using its spiritual and tal energies clash.

This way of using the two energies within it made it a beast that was very dangerous. The clashing energies caused the spirit steel swords' edge to beco sharper. This caused Reese to be able to slash through the air faster. Therefore, when seven speedy slashes were released, the blood needle worms were turned in to tiny pieces.

"These things will kill anything just to use you as a breeding ground. Every single person or beast they touch is at risk unless it can resist parasites. Get your heads out of your ass and be smart!" This was unlike anything that Reese ever did.

Normally, Reese was more reserved. He had a high held ideal that swordsmanship was the right path for him to walk. He wanted to raise his families abyssal swordsmanship style high while incorporation another styles and evolving himself and his partner. His spirit steel sword had already taken the first step and left the basic abyssal sword from behind.

It was already more unique than many other beasts like it.

Yet, the heated anger that ca after Reese had understood what this beast in front of them had died from and what the blood needle worms were doing was too much. Although, they could all see a slight flicker of fear behind that burning anger.

"You have dealt with these before?" Brad ca to the silent conclusion that no one else had wanted to say. But he spoke softly enough to show that he understood the weight between his words. Brad might have also had a hyper focus, but because of that, he had been able to train with Reese in their own beliefs. One to strengthen technique and another to raise their body higher than others.

They had shared interested.

"Not these, but the blade nose worm. They are similar. This one ca from that. You said they might have been bred differently, but that just ans that the blade nosed worm was bred to beco a more monstrous plague." Reese gripped his hand on his partner's hilt harder. The spirit steel sword vibrated in sadness as it sensed the pain that its partner had.

"I heard of that. The records of the blade nose worm outbreak were high. Seven smaller outside villages lost nearly ninety percent of their population forcing them to return to the larger cities. Of those mbers were the elderly that stayed behind while the younger mbers and families evacuated.

When the bodies were discovered after powerful tars were called, they discovered a terrible sight." Ella had the knowledge to fill in the gaps.

Everyone ca to the sa conclusion. Reese had always cared about the family techniques more than anything. It was a practiced sword style that his family cared for and wanted to raise up. But why?

The answer was right here. The elderly would have protected his family too as they escaped back to Nova City. he would have had freedom to grow with a smaller village away from a city. Growing and becoming a village that could remain independent. Unfortunately, that outbreak from years ago ruined it all for many families.

"Then we have a detour. The current mission will be the extermination of every blood needle parasite around this area. It might not be the best move, but for everyone and every beast around, it will be enough. They dislike fire so I recomnd that Ralph sends his molten boar with soone while the dragon welp stays with him."

"Isa and Ella can handle themselves with the others too. That will be able to deal with a majority of what might be around. Rember, the rain will make them more agile. Grace, they like the cold so be the bait. Have your frost finch freeze mud puddles and attract them while you stay near the molten boar or Ralph."

Brad and Jerold, one of you stick with Ella and one with Isa as guards. I will go with Maria and Reese to handle what we can find. Reese will attack, Maria will be our back guard, and I will have Crim to release dragon flas when needed. They might not be pure fire, but they can carry so undead energies and start a rotting process. Or they can make the water they like so much act against them."

Clark held a lot of trust in the fact that Crim's unique form of being allowed him to call on his origin. Therefore, he could manipulate so of the water energy around and make it work for him than against him. Not that this was anything compared to a dragon's flas. The dragon energy within that fla would be extrely dangerous alone. Any beast, let alone a parasite, would be hard imnsely.

Worry and gratitude flashed through Reese's expression before he fell in to a determined battle stance. He was glad to help handle such things. Especially since he could stop the spread of any parasitic beast like this. Even if it was still a beast, as far as Reese was concerned, this was a monster. The boogeyman waiting to kidnap the futures of many.

The mont that they began moving in these smaller groups with where they had just discovered the fallen rock joint rabbit, they started to analyze the area. There were many signs as the rain had fallen that there was a stream nearby. But why would there be so much dangers if the water ran freely?

The answer ca as soon as they discovered the larger area of cut down trees across the small stream. Soone had sliced through and fell trees right over the stream just leaving them there. Even arranging them to force the water to stand still and stagnate.

This could be done by certain beasts, but it was never done in a way that would cause rotting stagnant waters to build up like this. Only that could be done by soone with ill intentions. The thought process was proven even more when they discovered the body and camp of what appeared to be an older man.

'Blood moon vessel- monster

The blood moon vessel is a blood moon worshiper that sacrificed his body to beco a mindless vessel for parasites. Their internal organs are consud by the parasite they carry due to a cursed ritual and raising of certain parasitic beasts.

Due to this process, the brain is all that remains. It is forced to travel and create an ideal place for the parasites to live. This is only done by those that truly believe in their twisted values. Insanity was the last thing the mind of the man felt before being consud and falling in to the realm of monsters.'

This is the robe of the blood moon cult. It looks like they sent people out to the wilderness to beco vessels for parasites like this. They are trying to make the wilderness more dangerous than it should be." Clark growled as he saw this.

The others had followed the water to the stream and inadvertently gathered again just to witness this camp and the rotting body of what had been a cultist turned monster in the last days of his life.

"They are doing this intentionally?" Reese began to tremble. But it was not in fear. Pure rage had erupted from him. Much more powerful than ever before. His desire to slaughter the blood moon cult was stronger than ever. The cult that was trying to eradicate every innocent person that could possibly exist.

The untold number of tars and beasts that could perish due to their evil was too high.
