It was expected that there would be so form of tars or even guards. Unfortunately, as the group moved up and the scarlet cardinals took notice of them. But the beasts didn't make any move against the group. Even though they had the benefit of numbers, the cardinals were not a beast that would attack anyone over territory.
"I thought there would be guards from Solar city here." Professor Wright was very happy with what she had gained from the queen screeching mite, but she was very unhappy to see that this dungeon was unguarded.
"I think that they went inside." Jerold pushed towards a pile of rocks and pulled out a small bag that had been hidden. He had spotted it easily since it was clearly hidden intentionally to be grabbed after those who left it returned. "It's food and a few silver coins. It's the usual stuff left behind in case a tar ditches their items to escape the dungeon."
"Greed, that's what won out. The guards here ended up going inside instead of guarding it." Isa huffed a little at this. It was a very poor thing for a guard to do. But if it was a guard that wanted to get richer or to just make more money, it was possible.
'Quest: runaway guards
Requirent: discover what happened to the guards within the dungeon.
Reward: three rare gocha tickets, one pure soul stone, one death crystal.'
Upon seeing the quest pop up, Clark felt that it wcouldn't be a simple thing. The guards couldn't have just run in for greed. They might have been motivated by this, but they definitely had to go in for another reason. The quest would not have shown up for sothing so simple as the guards becoming too greedy.
This also snapped his mind to a quest that should have been completed.
'Quest: volcanic stairs- completed
Requirent: climb the naturally forming lava flow stairs that were created during the storm.
Reward: one skill and technique gocha ticket, two low healing potions.'
'Two low level healing potions, common, have been added to your spatial ring. The skill gocha ticket is being used automatically.'
'The wheel is spinning.'
Having realized that the quest was completed, the system, had reacted instantly to Clark's thoughts and begun using the ticket while showing the completion. He was sure that the skill would be sothing without a physical form, but he wasn't a hundred percent sure. E might magically get a book that teaches him a skill in his hand in front of everyone.
"We should all prepare to enter. We can try to follow the guards a little and see what really happened to them. Who knows what we might find. It's at least a path that we can follow without losing our way back here." Clark's words made everyone nod in agreent. It was the right move to make.
'The skill has been drawn. The skill, dragon's majesty has been automatically learned. The information on the skill will be displayed.
Dragon's majesty- rare skill
The skill is also known as draconic intimidation. It is only able to be learned by those with dragon type beasts. Using the dragon energy that had accumulated within the body of the tar and the beast, both are able to use it to pressure an area around them. The stronger the tar and the beast the larger the area.
Using the dragon energy, the beings in the area will feel an intimidating pressure that will weaken them ntally. It will also suppress every type of energy to a small degree that is not dragon. For dragons, it will weaken the weaker dragon severely. It is used to force a hierarchy on dragons by the older and more powerful dragons. Hence why it has the na, dragon's majesty.'
The thoughts that ca to Clark's mind about how useful this was in the grand sche of things were far too many. Especially since he was able to force the dragon energy and make a roar if he wanted to intimidate people. But this skill seed to be the refined version of sothing blunt like that.
This skill also allowed for an area of effect debuff to all beasts that were not dragons. Besides that, it could cause fear and an extre weakness to another dragon. All things that would be very valuable to both the group and to Crim as he faced powerful beasts.
As Clark sifted through the new information, he looked at the dungeon ahead of them. Unlike a normal dungeon that was a cave or door to a set of stairs, this one was a massive gate made of mysterious tal. The stones around it were clearly more defined but also made of odd stones that didn't seem to exist in this world.
It was only natural for Clark to use the analysis of the system to see what was what.
'Volcanic eruption dungeon- ultra rare
This is a very difficult dungeon that takes place in a very specific ti and place. The place that used to exist was plucked from ti and space by existence to create this unique dungeon. A world ending volcano that was slowly erupting over the course of a thousand years would have been destroyed along with every beast and the entire world it was from.
This dungeon is connected to the elven world of Elysium. It is also connected the the dwarven world of Spirit. These two worlds are consistently connected and created a rivalry between elves and dwarves. These races rarely interact with one another without so form of large argunt or battle.
The dungeon is ho to a variety of beasts that can not exist elsewhere due to their need for erupting fire and earth energies. The sa can be said about the unique and rare materials found growing there due to the fact that they need the sa environnt.
Dragons may have left this world before the dungeon was created from it, however, their blood and a few welps that could not grow properly in to dragons worthy of the na, dragon, were left behind.
This dungeon will cease to exist within three days. It will be moved to untold tis, spaces, and other factors based on the will of existence.'
'Dungeon quest has been created forcefully by the will of existence.'
Clark's eyes were foggy as he read this. He was unsure what to think of such a unique dungeon existing. But now he was being thrown another quest other than to find the soldiers that had been guarding this place. Not only this, but it was the will of existence making this quest.
'Dungeon quest: crown of volcanic fury
Requirent:
Destroy the dwarven crown created to store the destructive power of the super volcano.
Destroy the elves attempts to create a smoldering golem with the power to create volcanic eruptions
Retrieve the treasure within the dungeon
Rewards:
Ten rare healing potions, ten dragon crystals, ten soul crystals, ten shadow crystals, ten death crystals, ten hours of enhanced ditation, and one gocha reward ticket based on performance.
Failure penalty: removal of system.'
A sharp breath caught in Clark's throat. He had not faced sothing like this before. But here he was, facing danger that he would not have imagined he was ready for. A first ti that a failure penalty had appeared as well. It was as if this existence had said, I will take back my gift if you are not worthy of it. That was what Clark felt like he had just been told.
This wasn't even the main part of it. The requirents for completing all of this were massive. He had to destroy an item made by dwarves to take power from the volcanoes. Stomp the elves from making a golem that could use the energy for battle. And finally, he had to find an unknown treasure. An UNKNOWN treasure.
He didn't even know what it was.
'The previous quest, runaway guards has been altered. It will be completed by the hosts' designated representatives and the rewards will be given to them upon completion.'
'The representatives have been selected. Good luck.'
There was an odd feeling of encouragent from the system. As if it didn't want to be separated from Clark either. With the fact that it was gaining intelligence and gave him better answers, it proved that there is more to it. But Clark couldn't dwell on that any longer.
"We are ready, right?" Brad hefted his shield up and was ready to take the first step with the entire group.
"I am ready, but I will be going my own way. I just realized I have sothing extrely important to do while in this dungeon. It's dragon related. Crim and I can feel it. I'm sorry, But I have to leave the guard hunt to all of you."
Clark's words made everyone freeze. He was the leader of their group and the one they looked to for advice. For knowledge. He was just going to separate at such an important and dangerous ti?
