"That's a red pelt fox. You have already grown it in to the best form it can take. The only thing you can do from here is feed it cherry wood worms. They will increase its fir strength and density." Clark felt that the student in front of him was there as a joke.
"That's a complete lie. It can grow to be a falling cherry fox!"
"No! It could be falling cherry fox if you had a female. But this is a male. The males of this beast species don't grow in to different forms. How do you not know this? It's literally written in the species guide." Clark didn't even have to reference the analysis from the system for this.
He had already read about this beast to a small degree.
The student sat there with his anger completely thrown aside. He had believed that his red pelt fox was able to grow so much more. His friends had always said it and he had believed them. When he looked back at the other students they just avoided his gaze.
"Next!" Isa called out while the boy slowly left the room. It was clear that his friends had intentionally told him these lies for yeast. Now the student was left to find a new beast that could grow stronger and be able to take him to the future he wanted. It was a harsh reality when competing with devious opponents.
"You can't say anything about my beast. They are too rare around here." The next boy that ca forward had complete confidence in their victory that they already had a hand out for the key to the lab.
'Ice feather roc- rare
The ice feather roc rarely leaves the cold mountains. They enjoy the winters the most where they can use the cold weather to more easily form their icy feathers. Unlike other species of roc, they have the unique ability to control ice to create feathers. This allows them to fly and also use the ice feathers to attack. They can only follow one path of growth due to their attachnt to ice energies.
They can ingest chilled spider eggs from the frostbite spider to grow stronger. They will often molt…'
"I would say you made a mistake getting the ice roc at the strength it is. You should have looked for a regular roc and then grew it in to a multi elental roc. Anything would be better than singular elental species. Now it has to rely on one specific beast's eggs to grow tougher. And it can't even change in to another form." Clark felt that this was also a poor decision in beast growth.
"What are you saying? Huh?! That the singularity of elental purification is worthless? It's much tougher than so beast that has no control over two elental affinities.' the student seed to believe in the theory that a singular elental skill to perfection was the best possible growth.
"That would be true against another beast of the sa type. But if you go against a beast with opposing elental energy and the sa, you will lose. They will interfere with ice control then lt the ice you make. Your roc will be naked. There isn't even another growth form available." Clark put the paper in his hand and watched the boy drop the gold from his pockets.
Isa didn't even complain that she had to pick it up. They were very important funds.
"You think you can beat all of us. Try this out.," The student placed a simple green and brown striped beast egg on the table in front of Clark.
"Floral armadillo egg. That's too easy. The colors and the diagonal stripes set it aside from a stipped serpent egg. If it had any affiliation with poison you would also see little black dots along the brown stripes. This egg is only a common beast too. How could I miss that?" Clark felt that this wasn't even a challenge for him.
The analysis from the system was useful but he had already seen such an egg, the quest for the bestiary skill wouldn't improve with this.
The boy that had so confidently placed the egg down took it and left the room. Only two students were left and their confidence had definitely taken a hit. "Are you two going to say anything? Or are you too afraid you have pathetic skills too?" Clark didn't shy away from provoking them.
"Fine, you want a real beast? Check my prize out." The beast that stepped out of the taming space for the next challenger was definitely better than the others.
'Shadow hound- Ultra rare
The shadow hound is a wolf subspecies that has lded completely with the shadows. They are able to manipulate and hide within their or their tars' shadows. When it cos to bodyguards, this beast is considered top tier. The materials to grow this beast are expensive but worth it if the tar is able to procure them.
The only glaring weakness is that this beast is forced to train in the night due to the weakness to light it possesses.'
"Not bad. Shadow hounds are pretty rare. But if you haven't trained it against light then it's pathetic. It's definitely sothing you have been given too from a parent or whatever. You're just who it was raised to protect. It's not even showing any anger toward even though I have my needles ready to throw at you.
Poor training, no growth potential, but still a good beast."
Clark put his needles away and shook his head. He hated that the rich kid had tried to throw around sothing his parents had obviously paid for. The boy had failed as a tar since he had absolutely no training for his so called prized possession.
"Screw this, you insulted and threw away everything we brought you. Try and say my beast is nothing!" The last boy who had started all of this dropped a single vial on the ground. The silvery substance that leaked out slowly ford in to a small imp like creature.
'rcury imp- Ultra rare
The rcury imp is a beast that has been created through experintation. The demonic imp is used as a base for unique tallic materials. Over the course of five years, the imp's body is dissolved by the materials. The result is a forcefully created beast that has no set form. The imp is able to attack in many ways by manipulating its body.
The only weakness is temperature but that can be avoided with strong spiritual training. The growth of this beast requires a liquid tal golem core and large amounts of rcury. The final result can be a rcury golem that can split in to three separate bodies as a hallmark skill. The best way…'
"Now that's a good beast. Weak to temperature changes but it can actually grow in to a rcury golem. Want to know how or will you just tell I'm lying?" The boy was frozen in place. His victory no longer mattered.
"What's the price to know about the materials I need. If you actually know them I will not bother you again. But if you lie…I will kill any chance at you becoming a beast analysis or researcher." Clark knew he had more than won. This was a beast that no one should be able to create multiple of let alone know a proper growth path for.
