#4 and the Clockwork Dragon sped through the labyrinthine passages of Clockwork City, their pace urgent.

The dim corridors, once silent and forgotten, now echoed with the faint hum of the dragon's chanical wings and the soft padding of #4's tiny feet. The city's ancient chanisms creaked and groaned around them as if sensing the revival of their long-dormant protector.

The map projected by the dragon guided their path, illuminating shortcuts and secret passages that had been hidden from ti.

As they rounded a corner, the sounds of battle reached #4's sensitive ears — the clash of steel, the guttural roars of soldiers, and the unmistakable cries of pain. The air was thick with the scent of blood and the acrid tang of burning tal.

#4's heart pounded in his chest as he realized they had stumbled upon the battle he had hoped to avoid.

Ahead, in a wide, open courtyard that had once been a bustling hub of the city, a fierce battle was raging. General Varlox was locked in combat with one of the enemy's generals. The sight was grim. Varlox, usually a tower of strength, was struggling to fend off his adversary.

Blood stread down his face from a wound that had claid his left eye, and his armor was battered and scorched, evidence of the ferocity of the fight.

Surrounding him were ten of Ebizo's soldiers, but they were vastly outnumbered. Enemy forces sward around them, pressing in with relentless aggression.

The soldiers fought valiantly, but their exhaustion was evident. They were being pushed to their limits, and the line between survival and defeat was growing dangerously thin.

The enemy general, a towering figure clad in dark, jagged armor, exuded a malevolent aura. His blade, crackling with dark energy, sliced through the air, each strike driving Varlox further back.

The ground beneath their feet was scorched and cracked, a testant to the destructive power of their battle. The enemy general seed to be toying with Varlox, prolonging the fight as if savoring the impending kill.

#4's eyes widened in horror at the sight. It was clear that if this continued, General Varlox would not survive much longer, and the mission would be lost. The fate of their forces hinged on this crab-like-shrimp creature, and #4 couldn't afford to let him fall.

No wonder it had taken longer to open the gates. It was clear now that General Varlox had encountered unexpected resistance from one of the enemy's generals.

The Clockwork Dragon hovered beside #4, its glowing eyes narrowing as it assessed the situation. 'We need to act fast if we wanted to save them,' the dragon said, its voice calm but laced with urgency. 'They're on the brink of defeat.'

#4 nodded, his small fra trembling with uncertainty. He didn't possess any special skills like Chi or the others who knew how to fight. His only real talent was hiding.

But this ti, hiding wouldn't save anyone. If he did nothing, General Varlox and the rest of the Ebizo soldiers would surely be killed, and Rain would be devastated. #4 couldn't let that happen.

There was no ti to hesitate. He couldn't allow General Varlox to die here. The dragon was his only chance to turn the tide of battle.

'Full battle mode,' #4 commanded, his voice resolute even though he didn't know what it ant.

The dragon's eyes blazed with a sudden intensity. 'Understood. Engaging full battle mode.'

The transformation was instantaneous. The dragon's wings extended to their full span its size growing bigger by the second, the tallic plates along its body shifting and locking into place with a series of sharp clicks. The once smooth and sleek surface of the dragon's fra bristled with hidden weaponry, gears whirring and energy humming through its circuits.

The air around it seed to crackle with raw power, and its eyes, now burning with a fierce light, focused intently on the enemy.

Without a mont's hesitation, the dragon launched itself into the fray. It moved with incredible speed, a blur of tal and magic, tearing through the enemy ranks like a whirlwind.

Its claws, now razor-sharp, sliced through armor and flesh with terrifying ease, and its tail, tipped with a deadly blade, whipped around in lethal arcs, decimating those who dared to approach.

The dragon unleashed a barrage of projectiles from its wings, each one striking with pinpoint accuracy, exploding upon impact and sending enemy soldiers flying.

The courtyard was suddenly alight with the flashes of battle, the once silent city now a cacophony of destruction. The dragon's power was overwhelming, a force of nature that turned the tide of battle in an instant.

Despite his small size, #4 didn't shy away from the fight. He darted through the chaos with surprising agility, using his diminutive stature to slip through the cracks of the battlefield unnoticed.

While the dragon engaged the bulk of the enemy forces, unleashing chanical fury upon them, #4 hurried to General Varlox, his tiny hands glowing with a soft, healing light.

Though he couldn't completely nd their severe wounds or restore the General's injured eye, he did what he could to stabilize them. It had to be enough for now.

"You!" General Varlox gasped, clearly surprised to see the little Aasimar amidst the fray. "How did you get here?"

~Chirp!~

#4 chirped urgently, flapping his wings. 'No ti for questions! While they're distracted, we have to get to the control room!'

General Varlox was struggling to maintain his footage, and looked up in shock as the tide of battle suddenly shifted. The enemy general, who had been so close to ending his life, was forced to turn his attention to the new threat.

"That dragon . . . ?" General Varlox's voice was filled with disbelief as he watched the chanical beast tear through the enemy ranks.

'It's on our side!' #4 chirped with urgency, his wings fluttering as he tried to get the General moving. 'It's the city's protector, and we need to use this chance! We have to go, now!'

In full battle mode, the dragon could only sustain itself for around thirty minutes, so they didn't have the luxury of ti. Every second counted. They needed to get inside the control room and open the gates before it was too late!
