[3rd POV]
Watching the teen get his ass handed to him, Gwen wondered why he was at the school, and how no one else had noticed the obvious lack of skill that he had. The fact that he didn't die during the entrance exam, even though he has never trained in his life, and didn't even have his aura unlocked when he took it, was honestly impressive.
What was less impressive was the lack of proper training on his part, and Ozpin decided to pretty much put the kid into several embarrassing situations as he showed off how incompetent the current him was. The Jaune in the future was much more impressive, of course, but at the mont, he was just kind of...sad.
Slowly Glynda walked up, her heels clacking on the ground as she walked to the front of the stage, before speaking "Students, as you can see, Mr Arc's aura has now dropped into the red. In a tournant style duel this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match"
Turning to Jaune, she addressed him "Mr Arc, it's been a week now, please try to refer to your scroll during combat. Gauging your aura will help you decide when it is appropriate to attack or when it is better to move to a more...defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowulf, now would we?" Glynda spoke to the embarrassed teen, before turning back to the class.
"Rember everyone the Vytal festival is only a few months away, it won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale. So keep practicing, those who choose to compete in the combat tournant will be representing all of Vale" Glynda spoke, as the crowd of students chattered excitedly, as the festival was always a huge event in Remnant, and an incredibly important one.
The Vytal festival of this world is especially important this year as it is when Salem planned on invading, or, at least she would be trying to. Gwen being there sort of made that completely impossible.
"Are you and your team going to enter the Festival, Korra?" Yang asked the Avatar, as the two had beco sowhat friends over the past week, as they had most of their classes together.
"Yep! And we're going to beat the asses of every single team we go against" Korra replied with a grin, as she was excited for the tournant. She wanted to fight so half decent foes, and that would be the perfect place to do it. And should Gwen get entered, it would be a chance to finally go against Gwen, all out, to see how far they have all co.
"And what about you, Gwen? Since you don't have a team, are you just going to watch?" Ruby asked her friend, causing Gwen to shrug.
"If possible I plan on entering solo and trying my luck, but that's only if Ozpin allows to. He...doesn't exactly like much" Gwen replied, rembering the conversation she had with Ozpin.
She had been aggressive to the man, but that was entirely because she knew this wasn't the normal version of Ozpin from the mainline canon. Similar to how Avatar and Young Justice both had so...unique changes, this world did too. One of those was Ozpin, and his tendency to manipulate people into getting what he wanted from them, and then "Accidentally" putting them on suicidal missions without telling the other party all the details.
He only tended to do this to people who knew his secret, and were a threat to it. That, or if he thought Salem could potentially get her hands on them.
Gwen had sorta...mind read the guy, and after going through every single mory in his skull, she was confident in saying that he was not a good person in the least, and was manipulative as all hell. And while certain mbers of the Justice League were definitely similar, they wouldn't risk the lives of innocent children and get them killed, not like him. Although her dad was definitely a bit similar, the difference was that he actually gave a damn about them, and loved them as his kids.
He also gave them a choice in the matter, so that was a plus. Whereas Ozpin would give the less potential filled individuals a choice, while soone like a Silver eyes wielder, would find themselves shit out of luck in terms of other opportunities besides being a huntress, sothing that Ozpin would do to force them to work with him, without them even realizing
it.
Safe to say Gwen did not like the man, not at all. She liked his canon version a lot more, as that version wasn't truly a bad man, and was similar to canon Dumbledore. But this version of Ozpin? Yeah he was a manipulative douche.
"Do you really think you can beat an entire team solo?" Blake asked with a raised eyebrow to her faunus brethren, one that expertly ignored the glare she was receiving from Cardin.
"I don't think I can, I know I can. Did you forget what I did to all the grimm in that horde? That was a single basic attack for , so imagine what I can do when going all out, or when I try a bit harder" Gwen replied with an amused chuckle.
"Well, let's hope you get in, I want to beat your ass!" Yang said with a grin, while Gwen just looked at her with a raised eyebrow, before walking off with her girlfriends, making their way to the cafeteria to get so grub.
[A little later in the Cafeteria, at a table with team RWBY and JNPR]
Sitting at the table with the teams, Gwen silently listened at the teams talked to Jaune about his bullying at the hands of Cardin, so rather fierce bullying at that. Cardin was a sexist and racist piece of shit, so Gwen was just waiting for the right reason to beat the snot out of the fool, and it seed that it would be coming pretty soon.
At the sa ti, she was contemplating so things.
'Where should I take the girls? I know there's so pretty good restaurants around so maybe one of them? I'm thinking of ice cream? I saw a decent store down the road and it looks pretty good, had so interesting flavor combinations as well' Gwen thought with a hum, as it had been quite a while since she last had ice cream.
'I also need to go and absorb so grimm pools too. Mostly to see what sort of effect that'll have on . Maybe I'll even be able to produce my own grimm from my being. Although I wonder what sort of level of power they'll have' Gwen thought, before stopping as she heard a soft whimper of pain from a table nearby.
Looking over, a scowl ford on her face as she saw Cardin harshly pulling on the ear of a cute rabbit faunus known as Velvet.
"Gwen? What are you doing?" Ruby asked as she noticed Gwen getting to her feet, only to watch with wide eyes as the faunus girl walked over to the table.
"Hmm? Oh another freak! Man I didn't know you could get worse than this one, but I guess you faunus are all ugly little things aren't you?" Cardin spoke with a laugh as he got to his
feet.
Reaching his hand out, he attempted to grab one of Gwen's horns, only to blink as in the next second, his arm was bent the opposite direction.
"ARGHGHGG" Cardin scread in pain as he held or tried to hold, his bent backwards arm, as the other mbers of his team went wide eyed, not even being able to see Gwen before they were all on the grounds with the man.
"You alright?" Gwen said with a small smile to the Rabbit girl, who nodded slowly with wide
eyes.
"Here, this'll stop the pain" Gwen said as she reached her hand up, glowing as the pain that was assaulting Velvet's ears, stopped.
"Th-Thank you" Velvet stuttered, glancing at the still screaming Cardin. Looking to Velvet,
Gwen smiled before responding.
"Not a problem at all"
"GWEN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" The loud yell of a furious Glynda entered Gwen's ears, as she blinked several tis, before humming.
"...Looks like I'm in trouble"
