Mo Chou felt a little puzzled. "Dad is here?", she asked while looking around the restaurant.
"Wasn’t he supposed to be at ho"?
She couldn’t understand Mo Li’s reaction either. Why would she be so pale and shaky if she saw Liu Qiang?
Mo Li seed to shake herself out of whatever trance she was in. With a small reassuring smile, she brushed the topic aside by saying, "I was probably mistaken".
Mo Chou wanted to ask further questions but Mo Li quickly stood up and said, "I already paid for the food while you were gone. Let’s head ho now, I’m tired". She really did look quite tired now, so Mo Chou agreed.
Since she clearly didn’t want to talk about it, Mo Chou didn’t push her either. She could just look at the CCTV footage later to see what exactly Mo Li had seen.
They both exited the hotel and headed downstairs. The car ride ho was unusually silent today and Mo Li showed no indication of starting a conversation either.
Mo Chou was concerned but let her have her space.
When they arrived back at the Liu Mansion, Mo Chou saw that Liu Qiang was indeed at ho. He had even been waiting for them in the living room.
Liu Qiang also knew that sothing was wrong imdiately upon seeing Mo Li. He hurried to her side. Looking at his concerned and questioning expression, Mo Li just said, "I’m just tired. Let’s go to bed early today". She then hurried off towards their room.
Liu Qiang then turned to Mo Chou who just shrugged as she didn’t really know what was bothering her either.
Helplessly, Liu Qiang could only follow Mo Li towards their room.
Mo Chou didn’t see Liu Dai and Reaper was not there either, so she went to her room as well. There were a lot of things she wanted to do.
Once in her room, she locked the door to ensure full privacy and took her laptop out. First thing she did after turning the laptop on was to hack into the mall’s CCTV footage. She wanted to see what had spooked Mo Li so much.
She found the footage from the caras easily and examined it but didn’t find anything much. She decided to look closer and played the footage in slow motion.
Suddenly a person caught her attention. The restaurant had multiple caras and Mo Chou was looking at the footage from all of them. A person quickly stood out because none of the caras caught his face.
Although he was wearing a baseball hat, at least one of the caras should have caught his face unless he was trying to hide his face on purpose.
Mo Chou was genuinely curious now and wanted to see what this guy looked like. She looked at all the footage but the guy’s face was never visible. Till the mont he exited the mall, the man’s face was well hidden.
That could only an that this person was not an ordinary one. He was aware of all the CCTV caras and was very vigilant.
Mo Chou wasted a lot of ti looking through the footage but couldn’t find anything. She was getting frustrated just staring at all the video footage.
She really wanted to see his face but she also wanted to look into the phone she had gotten from the maid. Plus there was the owner of Phoenix.
Mo Chou had decided to give up for the mont when she thought of sothing or ’soone’.
She then proceeded to contact 007. He still owed her and now was the perfect ti to take what was due. Since it was promised that he would fulfil her three requests, she would still have more left.
007 replied almost imdiately when she contacted him and upon hearing her request, he agreed without a hesitation.
This job was nothing for him, just a little ti consuming as he would have to go through multiple cara footage.
He promised to deliver the results soon and got to work right away.
After it was all handled, Mo Chou got to work again. She first tried to find the identity of the owner of ’Phoenix’.
All the search engines and social dia showed the sa results as before, no one knew who it was.
Mo Chou had already expected it so she was not too disappointed. She imdiately started doing research on the dark web and to her surprise, she couldn’t find anything there either.
Even after looking around for an hour, her neck was hurting but she couldn’t find anything.
Frustrated, she punched the pillow beside her.
’Just who the heck is this ghost’?
Mo Chou realised that it was really late now. She didn’t like sleeping too late and nothing was going her way which was making her quite stressed. So she took a deep breath and decided to sleep.
If she was sleep deprived and stressed at the sa ti, it would do her no good. But while lying down on the bed trying to sleep, Mo Chou’s thoughts couldn’t help but wander to this mysterious person.
After closing her eyes and trying but failing to sleep, Mo Chou decided to distract herself first. She took her phone from her nightstand and was just scrolling through the screen.
Since she had just searched about the owner of Phoenix, articles and discussions regarding it kept popping up on her feed.
Out of curiosity, Mo Chou clicked on one.
It was a discussion and people were busy speculating who the person was.
There were also argunts regarding the person’s age and all but Mo Chou just scrolled past it all.
She didn’t find anything worth taking interest in and was about to exit when she saw a comnt that caught her eye.
The person who wrote it was claiming that they were a forr employee of Phoenix and knew the owner.
The strange thing was that the comnt got deleted almost imdiately after it was posted but Mo Chou had already read it and even noted down the person’s na.
She found the person’s Weibo account and sent them a private ssage from a fake account. After finally finding a clue, Mo Chou felt better.
Now all she had to do was wait for the reply. Mo Chou hoped that she would get a reply by the next day.
She finally closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

007 was still going through all the footage.
He wanted to finish the task as fast as possible for ’M’.
After not succeeding for a long ti he thought, ’Whoever this person is, he sure is an expert in hiding’.
007 suddenly got an idea. He started looking through the footage outside of the mall. Since ’M’ had only sent the footage inside the mall, he hacked the others himself.
There were also a lot of CCTVs outside the mall. He hacked into all of them and started looking at them.
"Aha, I got him", 007 shouted happily when he finally caught the guy’s face.
It was actually captured from a random small shop’s cara. Although it was just a brief glimpse, 007 screenshotted it and enhanced the image to make it more clear.
He took a closer look to see just who this mysterious guy was.
"Wait, Isn’t that...."
