Mo Li rushed towards Mo Chou’s bed and was about to pull her into a hug but Liu Qiang, who was right behind her took a hold of her before she could and stopped her just in ti.
"She just woke up, honey. You have to be gentle". Liu Qiang reminded Mo Li calmly.
"Ohh yeah, I’m sorry. I just got too excited" Mo Li apologised with a small voice.
Mo Chou couldn’t bear to see her mom more sad so she took ahold of her hand and said in a coy voice, "I missed you mommy".
Instead of calming down, Mo Li burst into tears once again. Mo Chou pulled her towards the bed and gave her a hug. She tried to console her by saying that she was ok now.
Mo Li cried in Mo Chou’s arms for a while before slowly calming down.
Mo Chou took a look at her dad who was standing beside the bed and gave him a smile. Liu Qiang’s eyes were red as well and he returned her smile with a teary one of his own.
Once Mo Li fully cald down, she started to fuss over Mo Chou as well.
She asked her about her body and even wanted to call a doctor to check on her again but Mo Chou firmly reassured her that she was fine and that the doctor had just left a few minutes before they had arrived.
Mo Li begrudgingly agreed not to call the doctor again and started asking if she was hungry or thirsty instead.
She wanted to send Liu Qiang to get her food but Mo Chou stopped her again and told her that Liu Dai had already gone to get food for her.
Since everything was already taken care of, Mo Chou asked Mo Li to just keep her company. Of course Mo Li couldn’t deny her when Mo Chou acted coquettishly, so she sat down on a chair beside her bed.
Mo Chou started asking Mo Li various questions regarding things that happened during her absence.
Both Mo Li and Liu Qiang didn’t ntion the flood and landslide at all and Mo Chou decided not to ntion it either. She had just woken up after all and didn’t want to ntion it yet.
She honestly preferred it if everyone just forgot about it and thought of it like so bad dream.
A knock sounded on the door soon after and Liu Dai entered with a steaming bowl of food. Behind him was Reaper who was also holding a plate of hot food. "I t him on the way here", Liu Dai explained and placed the bowl on the bedside table.
Reaper also silently placed the food down. He didn’t even dare look at Mo Chou on the bed and just stood there silently.
Mo Li and Liu Qiang were looking at him with a worried expression. Mo Chou let out a sigh. She had kind of guessed that Reaper would be like this since he blad himself for the whole incident.
"Big brother, my hand is numb. Can you feed please? I’m so hungry". Mo Chou asked Reaper in a loud voice.
Reaper finally looked up. "Of course little one", he replied with a shaky voice and started feeding her after sitting down.
Looking at him carefully feeding her small bites of food, everyone knew that Reaper would be fine. Ti flew by as everyone talked.
Mo Chou was very happy to be able to talk to everyone. Her loving and harmonious family gave her great joy. Even Reaper seed to be happy and more cheerful as they talked.
Mo Chou was also glad to see that Reaper and Liu Dai finally seed to be getting along better.
Li Chen and Huang Chunhua also arrived in the evening after the classes ended. Everyone else left so that they could have so ti together to talk.
Mo Chou had to console Li Chen and Huang Chunhua as well. After they were finally calm, Li Chen and Huang Chunhua presented the notes that they had taken for her. Mo Chou thanked them gratefully even though she didn’t really need them.
She asked them about how everything was going at university. Li Chen and Huang Chunhua answered her questions enthusiastically.
Then Mo Chou finally asked a question that was niggling in the back of her mind, ’just where had Lu Jinhai disappeared to exactly’?
To her utter disappointnt, Li Chen and Huang Chunhua had no idea either.
Just like with her, Lu Jinhai’s number wasn’t working on their phones either. In fact, it was showing that the number didn’t exist.
Li Chen and Huang Chunhua had also ford a kind of friendship with Lu Jinhai after all, so they were worried about him as well.
"We know his address, should we try visiting him"? Li Chen asked them but Mo Chou wanted to try looking into his phone number more so she asked them to wait a couple of days.
Since Mo Chou had just recovered, Li Chen and Huang Chunhua imdiately agreed.
After they left, Mo Chou was alone in her room. Her family hadn’t co back just yet so she took it as the perfect opportunity to do so ’investigation’.
Although hacking wasn’t convenient using a phone, Reaper had actually thoughtfully modified the phone beforehand for her convenience.
Mo Chou looked into the number but to her surprise, any information on the phone number had been completely wiped clean. There was no data or information at all. It was as if it never existed in the first place. Mo Chou tried to look more into it but even she couldn’t find anything. The one who had wiped it was good, really really good.
Mo Chou had kind of known that Lu Jinhai was no ordinary person. She was an assassin and had good intuition. She just didn’t want to invade his privacy as he respected hers.
Although she felt that way, her worry for him was greater. Mo Chou wanted to make sure he was alright and most of all, she really missed his company.
She missed his random flirtatious comnts and just missed spending ti with him just lazing around. She even missed his good night texts.
’Have I fallen..? No,not possible.I only care because he is my close friend’.
Mo Chou patted her cheeks as if it would help convince herself.
’Anyway, it seems like I will really have to give him a visit after all. I really hope that he is alright ’.

In a private Island,
Lu Jinhai got down from the helicopter and ignored all the staff who were lined up bowing on both sides. He walked quickly and didn’t spare anyone a glance.
He just wanted to reach his room so he could give Huo Jinhai a call to ask more about Mo Chou.
Lu Jinhai had to get on the helicopter as soon as Mo Chou had woken up.
Just as he entered the mansion’s door, he heard the voice that he had been dreading to hear call out to him’ "welco back, my son".
