"You look like soone but that’s impossible. Sorry for interrupting you". Mo Li seed very sad when she uttered the sentence.
She was about to close the door to the private room when Reaper couldn’t hold back anymore and shouted, "wait".
"Huh"? Mo Li asked in a confused tone.
"Mom, it’s . I’m your ’poopy butt’."
Reaper went fully red as he said the embarrassing nickna his father used to call him. Since his nickna was also written on the back of so photos of when he was with his mom, he assud that she also knew this nickna of his.
Mo Li seed stunned and in a daze. Her eyes had turned misty and had this far away look. When she didn’t reply to Reaper’s words, both Mo Chou and Reaper got a little concerned.
Mo Chou was standing by Mo Li’s side and lightly patted her shoulder, "mom, are you okay"?
Mo Li reacted as soon as she heard Mo Chou’s words as if it had triggered sothing in her. Her hands were shaking and she was trying her best to hold back tears without any success.
Instead of acknowledging Reaper’s words, she Instead turned to Mo Chou and said, " Mo Chou, What is happening? Is this a prank?"
Mo Li almost never used Mo Chou’s full na while calling her, instead she used several nicknas. The only tis Mo Chou had heard Mo Li call her full na was when she was really angered by her.
Mo Chou finally understood that Mo Li was in disbelief. Although they didn’t know the full picture, Mo Chou could guess that her biological father had probably done sothing drastic like faking his and Reaper’s death in order to protect her.
Even if it was not as drastic as faking their deaths, he must have been pretty upsetting for Mo Li to have such a big reaction.
Mo Chou tried to console her mother, she said, "mom, I assure you that this is not a prank. Big brother found and even showed the pictures of you and him together".
"B_but my child, my child died. He was in a car accident with his dad and both of them died. I_I couldn’t even see his body for the last ti because his dad had left and gone sowhere far away. I only got a call from the police a week after the accident".
Reaper stepped forward to ’explain’ what had happened. He said that the child in the vehicle was not him, but his dad was indeed in the accident.
"But that’s..." Mo Li didn’t know what to say. As much as she hoped that what Reaper had said was true, she still found it a little too absurd.
Reaper could see that Mo Li was quite conflicted, so he said, "I know it sounds really bizarre and unbelievable but trust . We can always do a paternity test".
Mo Li’s mind seed to have cleared up and she said decisively, "let’s go do the paternity test, but I’ll take you to the hospital of my choice for the test".
Reaper obviously had no objections to this and agreed.
Mo Li took a final glance at Reaper before heading out of the room.
Mo Chou could tell that her mother was sad and hopeful at the sa ti. She looked at Reaper who also seed down. The first eting with Mo Li had not gone as he had expected at all.
Although Reaper knew that anyone who was told that their long dead son was still alive would be in shock and disbelief but he had really looked forward to this.
He looked sadly at the bundle of flowers he had bought. He had even worn a suit and all. Mo Chou knew that Reaper was upset, so she consoled him, "don’t worry big brother, mom is just really shocked. I would want to confirm first if sothing like this happened to too. I’m sure she’ll be happy after getting the results from the paternity test".
"Yeah, I’m sure" replied Reaper in a rather dejected tone. Mo Chou didn’t say anything further as she honestly didn’t know how to comfort him.
Anyway, she was certain that Mo Li would really be ecstatic after she confird that Reaper was really her son that she thought was long gone.
Mo Li and Mo Chou got into their car while Reaper drove separately in his own car. Mo Li had already called the nearest hospital to get everything ready and had requested that the result should be out in the least ti possible.
The hospital had replied that everything was ready but it would still take at least one and a half hours to get the test results. On the way to the hospital, Mo Li didn’t speak. She was lost in thought and kept looking out of the window.
Mo Chou also left her alone as she knew that it would take ti for Mo Li to digest such big news.
When they arrived at the hospital, Reaper was already at the door waiting for them, having arrived early by speeding up. Mo Li had a determined expression on her face and led Mo Chou and Reaper to the floor where the tests were going to be done.
The doctor was already waiting for them. He made quick work of extracting their blood and left imdiately.
Seeing that both Mo Li and Reaper were silent, Mo Chou decided to chi in, "so now what? Are we going to stay here waiting? I’m a little hungry". She held Mo Li’s sleeve and acted coy mostly so that the slightly awkward atmosphere would go away.
Hearing that Mo Chou was hungry, Mo Li imdiately snapped into caring mom mode. "What do you want to eat? We can order any food you want darling".
"Hmm let’s see. Can I order anything I want?" asked Mo Chou.
Mo Li replied affirmatively and Mo Chou started to order a bunch of food. They were in a private room ant for VIPs and could freely eat.
Unfortunately to Mo Chou’s dismay, both Mo Li and Reaper were silent again. She just decided to stay quiet and wait for the food.
The food arrived after thirty minutes. Mo Chou had ordered Reaper and Mo Li’s favorite dishes for them.
She laid down everything on the table and started eating as she was in fact quite hungry.
While eating, both Mo Li and Reaper put food on Mo Chou’s plate at the sa ti. Mo Li looked at him and asked, finally breaking the silence, "so how did you find Mo Chou"?
Reaper was a little stumped by the sudden question. He realized that his action of putting food in Mo Chou’s plate might have seed a little strange to Mo Li as they had claid that they had just t recently.
Just as he was sweating, trying to co up with a good believable excuse, the door to the private room opened.
The doctor from earlier quickly walked in and everyone turned their attention to him. Mo Chou and Reaper secretly heaved a sigh of relief at the interruption.
The doctor said happily, " Madam Liu, the test results are already out. It didn’t take as long as we thought. I’m still sorry for the wait".
"It doesn’t matter, please announce the test results first," Mo Li replied calmly.
"Oh, of course. The paternity test results show that the DNA are a...."
