Hearing Lu Jinhai’s voice which sounded a little desperate and vulnerable, Mo Chou decided to stay.
She couldn’t possibly leave him when he was in such a state, Lu Jinhai was always calm and put together in front of her and others, this was the first ti she had seen this side of him.
Mo Chou also knew that sothing must have really affected Lu Jinhai for him to be like this.
"Hmm, okay I’ll stay and accompany you but let go first" Mo Chou said to Lu Jinhai as his arms were still around her.
Lu Jinhai didn’t respond or let go of Mo Chou. ’Haa, what should I do with this guy?’ Mo Chou let out a sigh.
All of a sudden, Lu Jinhai let go of Mo Chou and took a step back. "I’m sorry, I was rude just now. But please stay here with for a little while".
"I already said I will, didn’t I?" Mo Chou replied and sat down on the bed beside Lu Jinhai.
"So do you want to talk about anything?" Mo Chou asked him in case he needed to get anything off his mind.
Lu Jinhai seed a little surprised hearing Mo Chou’s words, but thought about it, he couldn’t share everything with her but he could tell her a little. As he had no plans of letting Mo Chou go, she would eventually et his mother.
"I, uh, I just got a call from my mother and she said sothing upsetting".
Mo Chou just listened and didn’t interrupt him.
"My mother is a little different, she is strict and can even be a little heartless sotis. Growing up, she kept a tight control on everything I did, everyone I t, basically dictating my life. I had to do so much to prove myself and get her approval so that I could finally have my freedom. I know that she can’t really control like before anymore but I feel upset when she even tries to".
Lu Jinhai didn’t really say what his mother had done, but Mo Chou got a gist of it. She remained quiet after hearing his words as she didn’t really know how to comfort soone.
Finally, she thought of sothing, "don’t worry, she can’t really control you since you are already an adult and if she ever tries, you could ask for my help," Mo Chou said, patting her chest.
Lu Jinhai found it really adorable but also a little funny. If Mo Chou knew who his mother really was, she might not be as confident.
"Umhm, the mighty Mo Chou will save " Lu Jinhai said in a rather serious tone.
Mo Chou was about to nod when she realized that he was actually making fun of her and gave him a smack.
Lu Jinhai laughed and felt much better, he had co to his senses and thought things through. His mother was powerful but he wasn’t a weak boy anymore. He had successfully created an empire and even took over the family business.
She no longer had control over everything and he was ready to face her head on if necessary. The only thing he was concerned about was if his mother would play so dirty tricks. He knew that she didn’t mind using so ’special thods’ if she felt like she had to and he had seen first hand just how ruthless she could get.
Lu Jinhai knew that Mo Chou was not so weak damsel in distress but he had not even fully wooed her yet, so he really couldn’t let his mother co in his way right now. ’I guess I’ll have to do sothing to keep my mother busy for now’.
Mo Chou let out a yawn, she had woken up mid sleep after all. Although Lu Jinhai didn’t really want Mo Chou to return back to her room, he still told her to go back and sleep, he was concerned that he would interrupt her rest.
"Ohh, okay I’ll go to sleep now, but will you be fine alone?" asked Mo Chou with concern. Lu Jinhai acted as if he was thinking about her question and said, "hmm, I don’t really know about that. Why don’t you just sleep here tonight"?
"Y_you idiot, hmph, I’ll never comfort you again no matter what" Mo Chou said angrily and stomped out of the room. She didn’t even look back or close the door behind her and went straight to her room and lied down.
Even though she was angry, Mo Chou couldn’t help but blush. Her heartbeat was loud and a little fast. ’What a foxy guy’.

Lu Jinhai’s face was full of smiles even after Mo Chou was gone. He knew that he was far too gone to ever let go of Mo Chou now. He had never shown his weak side to anyone, ever before.
Mo Chou was the first person to ever comfort him like this, he had loyal subordinates and friends but Lu Jinhai still kept everyone at a distance, everyone except for Mo Chou.
Lu Jinhai ran a hand through his now dry hair and started planning. He picked up his spare phone which was on the bedside table and dialed Huo Zhai’s number.
After he was finished ordering Huo Zhai, Lu Jinhai leaned back on his bed. There were too many things on his mind right now, so Lu Jinhai didn’t even try to sleep as he knew it would probably be futile.
He looked at his hand which had been wrapped in a bandage by Mo Chou, she had even made a cute little bow.
’Too damn adorable’.

The next day everyone slept till late aside from Lu Jinhai of course. Nobody had turned on their alarms or anything and Lu Jinhai had also ordered the butler to not let anyone bother them as he wanted Mo Chou to get enough sleep.
When they all woke up, it was almost eleven o’clock. It was still the weekend so the girls didn’t really mind. The weather had cleared up completely, which ant that they could go ho.
After everyone cleaned up, they went downstairs together. This ti too the butler was waiting for them at the end of the stairs. After seeing them he said, "I hope you ladies had a lovely sleep, young master wants everyone to have so late breakfast together before heading back".
He made a hand gesture indicating they go ahead. The girls already knew the way to the dining table so they headed there. After the butler was no longer in sight, Li Chen started exaggeratedly mimicking him, making Mo Chou and Huang Chunhua laugh.
To Li Chen’s horror, Lu Jinhai who was also heading to the dining room from a different direction saw her just when she was pretending to twirl her nonexistent mustache. She imdiately straightened up and hid behind Mo Chou.
Lu Jinhai, being the ’gentlen’ he is, pretended as if nothing had happened and greeted them. Li Chen heaved a sigh of relief after he turned around to enter the dining room.
Mo Chou found it all extrely entertaining and couldn’t stop smiling.
This ti as well, there were a lot of scrumptious dishes. After everyone was done eating, Lu Jinhai asked the girls if they wanted to do sothing like exploring the island or spend more ti on the beach.
Everyone was tempted but Huang Chunhua told him that she would not be able to participate as her mother had called her and asked her to go ho soon in case there was another storm like yesterday.
Li Chen and Mo Chou also said that they would go ho as they didn’t want Huang Chunhua to go back alone, they had already had their fun anyways.
Lu Jinhai nodded after hearing everyone’s words and told them to get their stuff ready within twenty minutes as they would be heading out.
The trip back went without any hassles. After they arrived at Lu Jinhai’s house, Lu Jinhai got one of his drivers to send Li Chen and Huang Chunhua back.
Mo Chou’s driver had stayed at Lu Jinhai’s house for the night as Lu Jinhai had arranged it for the sake of Mo Chou’s convenience.
Mo Chou got ready to leave but before she could exit the door of the house, Lu Jinhai stopped her and handed her the sea shell bracelet that he had made himself the night before.
"Ohh, this is for ? It looks pretty good. Who made it"?
Lu Jinhai suddenly felt a little embarrassed, so he lied and said, "the butler did".
Mo Chou was surprised and said, "thank the ’butler’ on my behalf then". She didn’t really believe that the butler had made it.
Mo Chou got into her car in a great mood while Lu Jinhai stood in the sa spot thinking, ’should I reduce the butler’s salary’?

Mo Chou was just chilling inside the car when all of a sudden the car stopped abruptly.
She opened the partition which was there to provide her privacy and asked the driver, "What’s the matter"?
"Miss, soone is blocking our path on purpose, please don’t leave the car".
