Mo Chou almost couldn’t hold in her gasp but caught herself just in ti. The person who shot her target had the exact sa face as her big brother after all.
Although Mo Chou knew that her big brother was not a saint and was also a ruthless killer like herself, it was still very shocking to see him kill soone with an absolutely straight face, zero expression on his face.
Her big brother, before he started ignoring her and all, always made sure to show her his best self. They had even saved and looked after a little puppy which had sohow sneaked into the training compound once.
The look alike stood up and ran his hand through his hair. He gave one last glance at the dead body before walking out casually.
’Guess I don’t have to do anything after all’ thought Mo Chou jokingly. Although she was a little shocked initially, she accepted everything quickly.
Her big brother wouldn’t have climbed up the ranks and beco one of the top assassins without killing people anyway and even in case he was not her brother, she wouldn’t mind it as the guy was soone whose life she was going to end later.
’Its such a sha though, I couldn’t get any information out of him or even get a fight’ Mo Chou thought sadly. After she was sure that no one was outside the room, Mo Chou climbed through the window and walked to the dead body.
She felt around his pocket with her gloved hands and found a phone, ’yay, jackpot’. Now, she could at least find sothing useful. There was nothing aside from the phone though so Mo Chou went back to the other room via the windows just in case.
Before she exited the room, Mo Chou thought, ’is it bad if I mark the mission complete?’ She still wanted the money and the guy was dead after all.
’Forget it, I won’t take the credit for soone else’s work’ Mo Chou decided to forget about the money. It was not like her efforts were wasted as she had found an interesting person who roused her curiosity.
No, she had found two interesting people. She was also quite curious about the masked man from earlier.
Mo Chou exited the room. She acted casual, like she hadn’t just witnessed a murder and made her way downstairs. She went around serving guests for a bit hoping to see her brother’s look alike or maybe even the masked man but none of them were to be found anyway.
’Heh, I guess I’ll go back too. I want to at least get so sleep for the night’ Mo Chou went to the kitchen and t the friendly server she had talked to earlier. She inford him that she was feeling quite sick and couldn’t continue on her shift tonight.
The guy asked her if he should take her to the hospital with concern but Mo Chou just told him that she would rather head ho. The friendly guy helped her call a taxi and even escorted her out through the back door.
After bidding her farewell, Mo Chou told the driver the address of the apartnt complex near the mansion.
After she got off the taxi, Mo Chou acted as if she was heading inside the apartnt and after she was sure that the taxi was gone, she walked back to the mansion avoiding all the caras on the way.
She sneaked back to her room and took a long shower washing away her makeup and sweat. Mo Chou was quite tired from the exciting day she had, so she decided that she would start her ’research’ tomorrow rather than losing sleep.
’It won’t matter, it’s just one day’.
Mo Chou went to bed right away and fell asleep before her head even hit the pillow.

Lu Jinhai was pacing around his room. He was wondering why Mo Chou was at the secret gathering he had attended tonight. Thankfully, she had disguised herself pretty well and had done a good job hiding her beauty because if anyone had misbehaved with her, he would have lost his tight control over himself and would have probably tried to strangle the person.
Lu Jinhai had been distracted throughout the whole ’eting’ as he had been concerned about Mo Chou. The mansion was packed with criminals. He knew that Mo Chou was not so fragile doll but he still could not help himself.
Thankfully Huo Zhai had noticed his abnormal condition, so he had done all the talking during the eting. Reaper had also taken care of the traitor for them.
Lu Jinhai knew that he would not be able to stop himself from approaching Mo Chou if he saw her again, so he had exited the mansion and stayed in his car.
Obviously he couldn’t leave Mo Chou behind at the mansion unprotected, so he had stationed Huo Zhai inside the mansion and had asked him for a communication device which Huo Zhai carried around.
Lu Jinhai didn’t tell Huo Zhai to look after Mo Chou directly but hacked into the mansion’s cctv caras. He searched for her and finally found her serving sandwiches to guests. Lu Jinhai even wondered if Mo Chou was short of money or why would she be here serving guests.
But he also knew that it was unlikely that she was lacking money, Lu Jinhai really wished he could read minds just to see what always went on in Mo Chou’s head, she always found a way to shock him again and again.
Lu Jinhai didn’t want to see Mo Chou serving anyone, especially those greasy criminals. Thankfully, she headed back to the kitchen area and stopped serving sandwiches.
But to Lu Jinhai’s dismay, he saw an overly friendly person who was ’clinging’ on to Mo Chou.
Countless thoughts were running around in Lu Jinhai’s mind. ’How does Mo Chou know him? Is he her friend? Does he know the real Mo Chou? Is he captivated by her, is that why he is being so clingy?’
He decided to dig so information regarding the guy, he couldn’t really let so la looking guy steal his girl could he?
Lu Jinhai watched as Mo Chou got into a taxi and left the place, he finally relaxed a little, he trusted that she would get ho safely and he didn’t have to worry as long as she was far away from a house full of criminals.
He called Huo Zhai to go back and sat inside the car in deep thought.
Lu Jinhai really wanted to give Mo Chou her freedom, he even fought against himself so that she wouldn’t feel caged but seeing her getting into a dangerous situation again and again was literally taking years from his lifespan.
He was frustrated, he couldn’t even accompany her when she did her dangerous stunts because of how he had portrayed himself in front of her. It was too late to go back now and Lu Jinhai was genuinely scared that Mo Chou would hate him once she knew the real him.
’Haa, It doesn’t matter to if everyone in the world hates as long as Mo Chou doesn’t’.
Lu Jinhai was scared even thinking about the day when Mo Chou would get to know his true identity. ’Will she be scared of ? Will she hate ? Will she find disgusting?’
To be honest, he would rather keep her in the dark forever but Lu Jinhai knew that it was not possible.
First of all, Mo Chou was not a dumb person and would probably figure everything out after he succeeded in courting her and also Lu Jinhai didn’t want to keep her in the dark forever. His identity was a part of himself after all and he had never felt like he had anything to worry about before he t Mo Chou.
Lu Jinhai didn’t feel like working after arriving back at ho. He was still thinking about Mo Chou. Although he knew that she was probably back in her house by now, he still couldn’t help but overthink.
He thought of countless things that could happen to her while returning ho. Finally, he couldn’t stop himself and sent her a text. In order to avoid suspicion, he just sent her a text asking if she was asleep.
He paced around his room glancing at his phone screen from ti to ti but unfortunately he didn’t get any reply.
After he got tired of pacing around, Lu Jinhai went to wash his face. ’I can’t do this the whole night. She is probably already asleep by now’ he thought looking at himself in the mirror.
Lu Jinhai let out a tired sigh and decided to try sleeping too though he doubted that he would succeed.
As he was kind of a germaphobe, Lu Jinhai couldn’t go to sleep right away. He took a long cold shower hoping that the cold water would help him relax a little.
Finally, Lu Jinhai laid down on his bed and closed his eyes. When closing his eyes didn’t really help, Lu Jinhai even started counting sheep but it still ultimately turned out to be a sleepless night for him.
