After a little while and after she had recovered a little, she only wanted to run away from this suffocating room.
By the ti she got to the corridor, she finally rembered to send a ssage to Gu Wushuang telling her that she would be taking off for now because she didn’t want to distract her from her work.
Mother Gu noticed that the secretary was looking at her funny. She couldn’t help but touched her own face and rembered that she was crying just a little while again. She rushed into the bathroom to reapply her makeup.
Right when she was about to leave, however, she heard a familiar voice as she walked past the fire exit.
“Mom, I’ve been very busy lately and been working long hours a lot. I need to make more money now so I can support the two of you after you have grown old.
“Yes, I will be getting married soon. Let’s find a ti for to co over and discuss my dowry with you and Dad.”
The voice obviously belonged to Gu Wushuang! She could lower her voice but Mother Gu, who had raised her and been living with her for years could tell right away.
All of a sudden, she felt like she had fallen into an ice pit!
Gu Wushuang was talking to her birth mother!
She called that other woman Mom, and herself Mommy; she called that man Dad and Gu Jiangxin Daddy……
She referred to them different so she wouldn’t mix it up but she said the exact sa things to both sides!
She was busy with work; she has no ti; she had to work hard so she would be able to support them when they grew old… … she didn’t have money for them right now but she was going to get married and would like to talk to them about her dowry… …
Mother Gu, trembling, leaned against the wall next to her and covered up her mouth that had dropped open from shock, panic and fear.
The daughter that she had doted on, treated as though she was her own. No, the adopted daughter that she had chosen even over her own daughter, after all that, treated her exactly the sa as her parents who had never raised her for a day in 20 years?
What was she supposed to make of that?!
All of the excuses that she had ca up for her had been crushed, destroyed!
“Ask the Gu family for dowdy? Mom, they have a daughter of their own.”
She could hear every word that Gu Wushuang was sayiing even though she was covering her mouth when she talked.
Turning pale, Mother Gu fell a step backward!
As though she had stepped into a puddle, she shot straight up from where she was standing, turned in a hurry, and, still in her heels, forget all about her elegance, made a mad dash into the elevator and pressed on the first-floor button madly.
She has a birth daughter.
Those were words from the daughter that she had doted on and favored!
She felt like she had been slapped across her face. She was being mocked as a failure of a mother!
[Big Brother… I was wrong.]
Mother Gu almost slipped down onto the elevator floor.
Finally, she was able to finished typing those words.
She didn’t even feel the tears rolling down her cheeks. She was so devastated that she could die!
What did she do wrong?!
Her real daughter hated her and her adopted daughter was one with no emotion and could not be tad!

Sitting inside the CEO office and glancing over at her handso CEO man every once so often in between her painting, Gu Shishi was happily drinking the soy milk that was brought to her by the handso CEO in person and was surprised when she read her ssage on Lync.
Huo Sishen, who had just finished reading a report and was rubbing between his brows, paused when he heard that.
He stood up without any hesitation and walked over behind the screen with a solemn look. “Who?”
In order to avoid any sort of hassle, he had given the order long ti ago that nobody was allowed to share her na or her contact information externally.
He brought her here so she wouldn’t be bored, not to work her @$$ off.
