Chapter 268 – One Must Jump to Action When the Ti Is Right (2)

She bought this dress before the downfall of the Luo’s and this was the first ti she put it on!

Never mind that sothing so unfortunate had never happened to her in the past 20 years, it had never even happened to any of her girlfriends around her!

That thought sent a chill though her. The chill spread from her clothes into her bones.

She shuddered and looked over, panicked, at Huo Sishen who was still sitting there properly.

He was handso as usual and his black suit’s cut was perfect. For so inexplicable reasons, half of his face was hidden in the shadow!

Even though this was broad daylight and she knew full well that the shadow was casted from the server standing in front of them, Luo Pingting still turned pale like piece of paper. Even her lips had no more signs of blood going through them!

Never mind the a hoarse, low, and cold like iron voice that seemingly ca straight from hell.

“Miss Luo, I have also treated your father to a al before he was taken away.”

Huo Sishen’s thin lips parted slightly and he gave her a cruel smile.

He was such a handso man but he was also like a devil dwelling in the dark.

BAM! Luo Pingting fell back into her seat.

All she felt was a sense of chill that started from the bottom of her feet and petrified her.

He cursed people. It was true!

He cursed his father and now her, today…

Huo Sishen watched as fear began to condense on her face. He had a sarcastic look on him and he did not try to cover up his feeling of distaste and contempt.

“I heard that you are fond of .”

He pursed his lips.

“No… No, No!”

Luo Pingting, shivering, grabbed her purse as she trembled and pretty much dashed for the door.

“Please be on ti tomorrow, Miss Luo.”

Huo Sishen picked up the napkin and wiped his slender and beautiful long fingers.

“When you co over to my place tomorrow to… play the piano to entertain my fiancée.”

He stressed the second half of his sentence.

Luo Pingting barely took two steps before her feet gave in and she fell onto the ground.

She had a look of disbelief and fear that ca straight from her soul.

“No…”

He was revenging her for Gu Shishi?!

That’s what Gu Wushuang had told her but she refused to believe!

She even signed the contract that was sent over by his butler!

She had thought that Huo Sishen was interested in her. She had lost her fortune as the daughter of the Luo’s; the Luo’s reputation had been dragged through mud, and she had lost her opportunity to marry into another prominent family.

She had thought that Huo Sishen was handso and, even though he was kicked out of the Huo’s early in age with a small part of their fortune, but once she has a child or two of his, she’d be able to shalessly fight over the Huo’s fortune… and that was why she had signed the contract!

She thought the purpose was to harmonize things through music when, in fact, it was ant to be this type of an insult?!

And his curse was not just rumor!

Luo Pingting felt that she had fallen into an ice hole!

During her most desperate mont, a sowhat urgent but gentle voice rang next to her.

“What happened?”

“How did you fall on flat ground, Miss Luo?”

Luo Pingting’s face was twisted. She wasn’t the one who fell on flat ground, alright?! It was soone else who did!

It was none other than Gu Shishi who was approaching her.

“Get up already. You are a lady. What do you think you are doing? Perhaps your misfortune was brought on by the fact that your father had evaded tax and earned unconscientious money. It’s karma, as they say in Buddhism. So it’s inevitable that your family is experiencing bad luck right now.”

Gu Shishi, who walked out of the private room and went to the bathroom, happened to saw Luo Pingting in her disheveled form while looking at the boss fearfully.

With a bad feeling in her heart, she jogged over quickly.

And picked up Luo Pingting right away.

“Look at yourself, Miss Luo, just falling onto the ground oh so casually. You’ve affected the others who are walking around and the other patrons of this restaurant. How embarrassing is that?

“Look. A perfectly fine plate of pork feet was ruined.”

Gu Shishi was about to break into cold sweat. The boss’s temper had been odd as of late.

If anything happened, he just might think that his curse had extended to Luo Pingting!

No way would she let that happen!

She must do everything in her power to not let him think that!

She didn’t care what kind of misfortunate event had happened to whom, but none of them had anything to do with him!
