Nishanth woke up to bad news.

A burning piece of paper floated above his bed. Big red letters said:

"YOU OWE: 1 SOUL. PAY NOW OR BE PUNISHED."

He sighed. "Silas! Hell is bothering again."

His butler walked in, carrying a stack of letters. "Sir, after you took the Prince’s soul, Hell sent 3,742 complaints."

Nishanth grabbed the top letter. It burst into blue fire, showing new words:

"HELL’S BANK IS AUDITING YOU. PREPARE YOUR MONEY."

Then

knock... knock.... knock....

Not a normal knock. This knock sounded like a judge’s hamr.

Silas sighed. "They’re here."

A small demon woman stood at the door. She looked strict, with tiny horns and a sharp black suit. Her eyes glowed green as she stared at Nishanth’s ssy piles of gold.

"I’m Lilith," she said. "Hell’s accountant. You’re in trouble." She opened a scary book. "You broke rules. Too much spending. Stole a soul."

Nishanth smiled. "The Prince’s soul was a business deal."

"No." Her pen clicked. The room got colder. "Rule 666-B says—"

"I’ll pay you more than Hell does," Nishanth interrupted.

Lilith froze. "What?"

"Three tis more," he said, tossing her a hell-coin. "Plus benefits."

A ssage popped in Nishanth’s vision:

[ HELL’S SECRET: DEMONS HATE THEIR JOBS ]

Lilith’s serious face cracked. For one second, she almost smiled. Two hours later, they sat in Nishanth’s vault.

"If I help you cheat," Lilith said, "I lose my soul."

Nishanth pointed to a mountain of hell-coins. "This buys you a better soul. Mine, maybe."

"You’d... give your soul?" she asked.

"Rent it to you," he joked.

Lilith laughed—a sharp, surprised sound. "You’re crazy."

"And you’re bored," Nishanth said. "Counting sins all day? Boring. Helping trick Hell? Fun."

A contract burned into existence. Lilith took the coins."I want a nice office," she demanded.

A new ssage appeared:

[ NEW FRIEND: "LILITH THE DEMON" ]

[ POWER: "Tricky Math" – Turn bad deeds into "good donations" ]

Lilith showed Nishanth the Prince’s soul contract. It said:

"PRINCE ALARIC NOW CLEANS HELL’S TOILETS FOREVER."

Nishanth blinked. "Hell has toilets?"

"Not real ones," Lilith said. Then she pointed to scary small words:

"IF PRINCE FAILS, NISHANTH GETS HIS ENEMIES."

A new image appeared—a golden throne with a shadowy figure.

"The God of Money," Lilith whispered. "He’s why Hell is checking you."

Another ssage:

[ WARNING: GOD OF MONEY IS WATCHING ]

[ IDEA: BUY A STRONGER GOD ]

Nishanth cracked his knuckles. "Good. I like challenges."Nishanth sat at his gold desk, rubbing his temples. "So let get this straight—"

Lilith flipped through her hell-book. "Yes. You can buy forgiveness here." She pointed to a page. "One murder equals... two charity donations."

"That’s stupid," Nishanth said.

"No," Lilith corrected. "That’s bureaucracy."

She snapped her fingers. A small fire demon appeared, holding a calculator."et Calcifer," she said. "He’ll help with your creative accounting."

The little demon grinned. "I turned a war cri into a bake sale once!"

Nishanth blinked. "I think I like Hell."

"NISHANTH!" the Prince scread. "I’LL—"

"Hold on," Nishanth said. He turned to Lilith. "Can ghosts file taxes?"

She checked her book. "Actually... yes."

Nishanth grinned. He grabbed a stack of papers. "Silas! Hand these to the ghosts!"

The butler looked at the papers. "Sir, these are... tax forms?"

"Exactly."

The ghosts took the papers. Their eyes went wide.

"Line 15-B... deductions for eternal suffering?" one ghost whispered.

The Prince’s spirit looked ready to explode. "NO! DON’T FILL THOSE OUT! IT’S A TRAP!".But it was too late. The ghosts sat down, pulling out ghost pens.

That night, Nishanth had a strange dream. He stood in a black room with floating numbers. A voice whispered:

"You think you’re using the System,,, but the System is using you."

Nishanth woke up sweating. On his nightstand, a new note:

"Every gold piece you spend brings you closer to becoming money yourself."

Lilith was gone. Only her hell-book remained, open to a page that said:

"Final Price: Your Humanity."

Nishanth woke to the sound of jingling coins. His bedsheets had turned to gold thread overnight.

"What the—?" He yanked his hand back—his fingertips shone like polished tal.A single gold feather lay on his pillow. When he touched it, a godly voice bood:

"STOP SPENDING OR BECO MONEY YOURSELF."

Nishanth stared at his reflection. His left iris now swirled with tiny dollar signs. He found Lilith in the vault, burning papers in a hellfire brazier.

"You knew about this!" Nishanth slamd his tal hand on the table.

Lilith didn’t look up. "All System users get greedy. Then they turn into things." She tossed another page into the fire. "Gold statues. Living banks. One guy beca a walking stock market."

"Why didn’t you tell ?"

"Would you have stopped?"

Nishanth opened his mouth—then shut it.A faint ching sound ca from his pocket. Three new gold coins had grown from his coat lining.

That afternoon, a golden crow flew through his window, dropping a scroll:

"LAST CHANCE. SERVE AND KEEP YOUR FLESH."

- The Golden Throne

Nishanth laughed—then choked as his laugh turned to the sound of clinking coins.

Lilith grabbed his shoulders. "Idiot! Stop spending!"

"I CAN’T!" Nishanth’s voice echoed strangely. "THE SYSTEM WON’T LET !"

He tried to drop a gold piece—his fingers fused around it.

Lilith pulled out a black contract. "There’s one way. Sell your—"

"NO DEALS!" Nishanth’s shout made chandeliers shatter. He grabbed his money sword and stabbed it into the System’s ledger."I DECLARE MYSELF WORTHLESS!"

The world shook. Gold peeled off his skin like foil. The System scread in his mind. When the dust settled, Nishanth was human again—but the System interface was gone.

Lilith stared. "You broke it."

Nishanth flexed his normal fingers and grinned."Let’s see the God of Money top THAT."

The sky turned golden-black at noon.Every coin in the city levitated, forming a massive face in the clouds—the God of Money. His voice made banks crumble:

"YOU OWE A SYSTEM."

Nishanth stood on his balcony, now System-less, still in pajamas. He cupped his hands around his mouth:"Check the fine print! All sales final!"The god’s golden eyebrow twitched. A tsunami of coins crashed toward the mansion.

Lilith slamd into Nishanth, knocking him aside as the coins buried his balcony.

"Are you suicidal?!" she scread—then burst into flas. Her human disguise burned away, revealing seven-foot crimson wings, curved ram horns, and a tail tipped with a silver quill.

Nishanth whistled. "Accounting must pay well in Hell."

"SHUT UP AND RUN!" She grabbed his collar, flying them through a hail of gold projectiles.

They crashed into the vault. Nishanth rolled behind a diamond pillar as coins bullet-holed the walls.

"Any brilliant plans?" Lilith snarled, lting incoming coins with hellfire.

Nishanth grinned. "You’re the numbers demon. What’s God’s weakness?"

Lilith’s eyes flashed. "The one thing he can’t count... zero."

Nishanth stood up, spreading his empty hands."I HAVE NOTHING!" he shouted at the sky. "MY WORTH IS ZERO! YOU CAN’T COLLECT!"

The god’s face froze. The coins hovered mid-air.Lilith leapt, plunging her quill-tail into the floating god-face. Golden accounting runes burned across the sky:

"DEBT INVALIDATED: CLIENT HAS NO ASSETS."

The god howled, his form unraveling into worthless copper pennies.

Nishanth caught Lilith as she fell, her demon form fading.

"You... idiot..." she gasped. "Now we’re both... bankrupt..."

He tucked a hellcoin behind her ear. "Nah. Just rebranding."

As the last coin clattered to the ground, a single piece of paper floated down:

"New Account Opened: Nishanth & Lilith. Balance: Priceless."

The city stank of burnt gold and broken contracts.

Nishanth panted, slumped against the ruins of his vault, watching the last god-coins clatter to the ground. His fingers tingled—still human, but barely.

Lilith groaned beside him, her crimson wings frayed, her demon form flickering between terrifying and exhausted. A thin trickle of black blood ran from her nose.

"You," she gasped, "are the worst client I’ve ever had."

Nishanth grinned, though it hurt. "But you like ."

She didn’t deny it.A slow clap echoed through the wreckage.A woman leaned against a broken pillar, her silhouette cut like a knife.Jet-black hair in a razor-sharp bob.A dress of living shadow that clung to her hourglass curves

Eyes like polished coins, calculating, amused. She smirked, red lips parting. "Bankrupt a god, and all you get is rubble? How... disappointing."

Lilith snarled, forcing herself up. "Mammon."

The woman—Mammon—tilted her head. "Hello, little auditor. Still playing with mortal toys?"

Nishanth wiped blood from his lip. "Who’s the goth accountant?"

Mammon’s laugh was cold and expensive. "I’m the one who owns the System you just broke."

Mammon traced a finger along Nishanth’s jaw. Her touch burned.

"You’re clever," she murmured. "But now you have nothing. No System. No power."

Nishanth caught her wrist. "I’ve got my looks."

She laughed, low and throaty. "How about a real deal?".A contract burned into existence between them:"Serve . Regain your power. Keep your soul (mostly)."

Lilith lunged, but Mammon flicked her away with a wave. "Quiet, hellspawn. The adults are talking."

Nishanth studied the contract. "What’s the catch?"

Mammon’s smile widened. "You’ll owe a favor. And I always collect."Her hips swayed as she turned away, her shadow stretching unnaturally long. "Tick-tock, little spender."

Lilith grabbed Nishanth’s arm. "Don’t. She’ll ruin you."

Nishanth stared at the contract. "I’m already ruined."His fingers hovered over the signature line, when Zara the Raccoon-Girl dropped from the ceiling, landing in a crouch between them.

"Wow," she whistled, amber eyes gleaming. "You guys suck at stealing."

She snatched the contract, tore it in half, and ate the pieces.

Mammon’s smile froze.

Zara grinned, sharp teeth flashing. "Oops."

Lilith barely dove after them as the world twisted. They tumbled out into a hidden speakeasy, lit by stolen hellfire lanterns.

Zara stretched, her corset straining over her curves. "So. You guys wanna rob Heaven next?"

Nishanth looked at Lilith.

Lilith looked at Zara.

Zara winked.
