Whether because his potential wasn’t fully sparked or because he didn’t have enough chakra, Izayoi’s "first wave" (or "fetal stirring") ended up lasting not just a few days but a full two weeks.
For those two weeks, he basically lived blind, with no light in his life. Under normal circumstances, going without vision would be depressing or frustrating. But Izayoi’s days were filled with happiness thanks to the way Hinata took care of him—like the epito of a gentle, traditional "Yamato Nadeshiko," a perfect mix of caring wife and loving mother.
Each day, she either brought als from ho or bought fresh ingredients to cook at Izayoi’s place.
Worried that he’d get stiff from staying in bed, she frequently helped him up for walks around the room or living area. She showed infinite patience assisting him with washing up, even scrubbing his back or washing his hair.
If Team 8 had any missions, she’d handle both her role and Izayoi’s by disguising herself as him to go out on duty. On off-days, she’d leave a Shadow Clone at ho or send a clone to keep him company, afraid he might feel lonely.
Izayoi basically got to sit back and do nothing—he just had to exist, while Hinata genuinely enjoyed looking after him. Having been on the receiving end of Izayoi’s care since childhood, it was her first ti looking after him in return, and each day filled her with energy. She even dread about how to care for him better and imagined him praising her for it.
If Hiashi had seen such a scene, he’d probably be on the brink of punching sothing. Still, blissful tis tend to fly by, and after half a month of blindness—feeling chakra constantly being secreted in his brain, his eyeballs seeming to wriggle with sothing inside—Izayoi finally sensed that all had quieted down. The first stage of his "all-encompassing power"...had appeared!
On that day, Hinata closed the curtains, locked the door, and carefully began unwrapping the bandages from Izayoi’s eyes. "Izayoi-kun, is your Kekkei Genkai so kind of dōjutsu, too?"
"Yeah." Izayoi nodded.
"Could it be the legendary Rinnegan, or so red-eye that counters Byakugan?" Hinata speculated eagerly.
She might as well be asking if I awakened the Ketsuryūgan... Izayoi thought wryly, but outwardly he just shook his head. "No idea. If my brain hadn’t started secreting chakra all of a sudden, I wouldn’t have known I’d inherited a dormant Kekkei Genkai. We’ll find out in a second."
"O-Okay..." Hinata quickly stripped off the last layer of bandages, then stood in front of Izayoi, watching him closely as he kept his eyes shut. When he finally opened them, Hinata’s own eyes went wide, her hand flying to her mouth in awe. "What...beautiful eyes..."
In the dimly lit room, Izayoi’s gaze glowed with a cool blue-white light, almost like luminous pearls in the dark. The sclera was still there, of course, but his irises had turned sky blue. Even his pupils were tinted blue, emitting a white radiance that ford a pattern like a flower petal around them. The effect was unbelievably stunning.
This pair of eyes might have returned to the world after a thousand-year absence—or it could be their first ti ever appearing on Earth. They didn’t belong to any of the known "Three Great Dōjutsu," nor were they a red eye that suppressed the Byakugan, nor so "Ketsuryūgan" from the Chinoike clan. Instead, they were an "ultimate" eye technique said to rival even the most powerful of the "Three Great Dōjutsu"—the Tenseigan, fad for both destruction and creation.
"So much eye power... This is on a totally different level..."
Izayoi raised his hand to the corner of his right eye, visually focusing on Hinata in front of him. In truth, his line of sight had already penetrated the house, the street, the village, the forest, and the city beyond...like an invisible web covering the entire Land of Fire.
Before, his Gold-tier Byakugan could see up to eighty kiloters. That was already impressive, but compared to the Tenseigan’s range, it felt like pitting a seasoned soldier against an infant. In this world’s power scale, it was like the gap between Super-Kage and Kage, absolutely incomparable. With just the first stage complete, Izayoi could see across all the Land of Fire. Once he reached the second wave—or the final evolution—just how insane would his range beco?
Retracting his gaze, Izayoi looked at Hinata leaning forward. He noticed her unzipped coat, the snug black sh beneath hugging her upper body in an...easily noticeable way. He couldn’t help an awkward twitch at the corner of his mouth.
Jeez, it cos with so sort of "family-friendly self-censorship."
Turns out, when Izayoi tried out the Tenseigan’s X-ray vision on human bodies, he didn’t get anything "fun." Instead, he saw colorful skeletons, organs, networks of chakra pathways—no actual "fanservice" visuals at all. La. But rembering there was a giant Tenseigan on the moon as well, he quickly felt better. Not seeing "that stuff" was probably a good thing.
Seeing Izayoi’s shifting expressions, Hinata asked curiously, "Izayoi-kun...are you trying out the new Kekkei Genkai powers?"
"Yeah." Izayoi nodded. "My eyes aren’t the Rinnegan or that red eye you ntioned. This is sothing brand-new—or maybe sothing that’s been lost for centuries."
"So what can it do?" Hinata asked, clearly intrigued.
"It can do...this. Rise!" Izayoi lifted his hand toward Hinata. In the next instant, it was as if she’d slipped free from gravity—her body floating off the ground, drifting toward Izayoi. But then ca the codic twist: it was his first ti using gravity like this, and he misjudged the power, not noticing how close she already was. Hinata, who was only about eight centiters shorter than him, rose above him with enough montum to crash right into him, knocking him backwards.
"O.."
A pained yelp rang out as Izayoi toppled to the floor. Hinata herself took no damage, so mysterious force having cushioned her impact. Leaning over him without injury, she said in concern, "Iz...Izayoi-kun, are you all right?"
"Cough...yeah. I just overdid it a bit." Still cradling Hinata, Izayoi stood up with a laugh. "That’s basically how my eyes work."
Hinata, going over the scene in her mind, asked hesitantly, "Was that...Wind Release?"
"No, it was gravity...and...repulsion," Izayoi said, glancing around. His eyes landed on a decorative vase. Pointing a finger, he lightly flicked invisible energy. Crash— The vase shattered—not because anything struck it but because it suddenly slamd into the wall, breaking itself. Its shards then floated in midair, drifting neatly into the trash bin.
"Wow..." Hinata’s jaw dropped.
Switching between gravity and repulsion, Izayoi allowed himself a small smile, thinking, Finally, so real self-defense power! The Byakugan had evolved into the Tenseigan; its initial stage brought him two fundantal boosts and three primary abilities. The two fundantal boosts were the ultra-long-range vision (much greater than 80 kiloters) and color-based x-ray sight. The three main abilities were gravity, repulsion, and unlimited "puppetry." Or more accurately, a variant of the Six Paths technique: he could condense Tenseigan chakra into a "core" that functioned like a heart, bestowing life (chakra) and remote control over puppet-like constructs. Those constructs could even fire beams of chakra. If he had Yin–Yang Release, he could create black rods to supply them with chakra from afar, but that would have to co later.
Smiling in satisfaction, Izayoi ntally summoned his personal interface:
[Host: Izayoi]
[Talent Entries: Kekkei Genkai: Tenseigan (Red), Otsutsuki Bloodline (Red), Sage Eyes (Red), Prince of the Byakugan (Red), Six Paths Aptitude (Red), Chakra Control (Gold), Uzumaki Bloodline (Purple) " ", All-Attribute Constitution (Purple) " ", dical Genius (Blue) " "]
[Points: 12391]
Now that the Byakugan had evolved into the Tenseigan, its entry changed from "Byakugan" to "Tenseigan" at Red tier—and it jumped to the very top of his list, surpassing even his Otsutsuki Bloodline.
"The ultimate eye technique really is beyond Red," Izayoi thought to himself.
