“Speed pills? That’s not too bad. Good combo with the lee weapons. Charge in, and then take down the enemy.” Calia remarked, positive as ever.
“I guess so.” Elliot smiled. “Next box. Let’s see… Laser guns! Excellent. Our n will be well equipped. And… Hohoho.”
“What? What did we get?” Calia asked in a shrill and excited voice.
“Armored Dinsional Lanjet.” Elliot said happily as he held up a fist-sized toy car at Calia.
“What does it do?” Calia asked curiously.
“It is like an armored transport vehicle which you can carry around as a toy car. It’s very useful if you want to travel long distances with a large group. Here, you can keep it.” Elliot tossed the “toy car” to Calia.
“Okay… How do I use it?” Calia caught the Armored Dinsional Landjet and began to look at it closely.
“Just triple press that red button and place it 10 ters away from you. It will glow red and then expand into a full-sized Landjet in 30 seconds. You can fit twenty grown n in there, excluding the driver and the navigator.” Elliot explained.
“I see.” Calia kept the Landjet in her pocket and turned to look at Elliot. “Does this an that you’re going to be putting in charge of the n?”
“Yes. You’re the first person to join , and I trust you. You’re the only one for the job. Why?” Elliot asked.
“Nothing. I just wanted to make that clear. If that’s what you want to do, then I’ll do it.” Calia said. But there was the slightest trace of sadness and disappointnt in her voice.
Elliot detected it, and imdiately guessed the reason.
“She likes , and probably wants to spend more ti with .” Elliot thought. “She’s beautiful, and I never really had a girlfriend before. If… … …
No. I cannot afford any distractions now. I must focus on powering up!”
Elliot quickly brushed all unnecessary thoughts away and rely smiled at Calia.
“I know you’ll do a good job with the n. Kara will help you, and if you need anything, you can just tell . I will definitely back you up.” Elliot assured her. “With the strength, speed and intellect pills you’ve consud, you’ll definitely have no problems dealing even with the strongest of them.”
“Right. Don’t worry. I will keep them in line and make sure to execute your instructions cleanly.” Calia smiled cheerfully.
“Good.” Elliot nodded. He turned to look at his right. “Kara and the others are almost here. Calia, take this opportunity to take command. Unpack the boxes, take stock of the items and report to . I will continue my training.”
“Ok. Leave it to .” Calia said seriously.
Elliot left Calia to her task, and went back to his sword practice a distance away.
“Alright, Gilgamar. I’m ready. Bring on the fourth movent!” Elliot said energetically.
“The fourth movent. The wind blows where it wills, invisible to the eye. Formless. All-encompassing. Triple thrusts flow into a quick horizontal slash, circle into an overhead slash.” Gilgamar intoned as a series of images appeared in Elliot’s mind.
“Take note of the energy flow during and after the triple thrust, and make sure you do not over infuse the horizontal slash. Final overhead slash should not exceed 50% of your full power. Rember, it is all about balance, not about releasing as much power as you can in one go.”
Elliot nodded wordlessly and began to execute the fourth movent.
As before, as soon as he entered the opening stance of the fourth movent, he could feel the power of nature just brimming with anticipation all around him and in particular, around Gilgamar.
Elliot directed his Fire Dragon Energy to move in the prescribed manner and then channeled it forward though his sword.
As he thrusted Gilgamar forward three tis in rapid succession, he could feel the power of nature respond as though answering a cry for battle!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
His Fire Dragon Energy shot out from Gilgamar and combined with the power of nature all around him to release three quick but intense bursts of explosions!
As his mind gawked at the power of the explosions, however, he was half a breath too late in executing the required energy pattern to his quick horizontal slash, and imdiately, the power of nature subsided.
When he finally released his horizontal slash, only the power of his Fire Dragon Energy was brought out.
“Again.” Ca Gilgamar’s quietly indifferent voice.
Elliot gritted his teeth and re-entered the opening stance of the fourth movent.
“The first stage is called the Foundations of Wrath. Every single stance in each of the movents builds upon each other, and allows you to harness the basic energy of nature. It is extrely important that you chain the attacks together to unleash the full power of nature upon your enemies.” Gilgamar said as Elliot tried to transition from the three thrusts into the horizontal slash once more, and failing miserably.
“Again.”
“How on earth am I supposed to chain such attacks in a real battle? It’s so impractical!” Elliot complained as he prepared to enter the opening stance of the fourth movent once more.
“There are twenty five thousand movents spread across four hundred ninety stages.” Gilgamar reminded him.
“Almost all twenty five thousand movents are made up of the basic sword movents of slash, thrust, parry. There is a movent available for you to execute for every single battle situation there is. All you need to do is to master every single movent.
When the ti cos for battles, you’ll automatically know which ones to chain, and which ones you want to aim for to kill your enemy.”
“Oh. That makes sense.” Elliot’s eyes brightened considerably as he understood this point.
“However, the weaving of energy gets progressively harder. In its core, the patterns you’re weaving the energy in are basically deconstructed runes. The more you master weaving the energy in the early movents of the sword technique, the more you’re mastering the art of drawing runes. And from the fifteen thousandth movent onwards, you’re weaving complete runes using your energy.” Gilgamar told him.
“However, you’re still too far away to worry about that. Focus on the first stage and master the movents found within it. The twenty five movents will allow you to effectively fight against a Lord Level Warrior. Combined with your extre strength, you can even brute force your away against a King Level Warrior.”
Elliot narrowed his eyes and focused.
