Chapter 776: Chapter 779: Empress of Sight? Best Newcor? [Three Updates]
"If I had to share Qin Tian with other won, to love him together, would I... would I be willing?"
Liu Fei’er drifted into such thoughts as she asked herself internally.
As she pondered, she glanced at Qin Tian, who was driving.
Just one glance, and she had her answer in her heart.
"Where are we going? It’s past eleven now, are we going for lunch?"
Qin Tian asked while driving.
Liu Fei’er and Wang Han both nodded.
In a Chinese restaurant with a great deal of privacy, Qin Tian, Liu Fei’er, and Wang Han had lunch together, while Liu Fei’er’s two assistants went off to take care of their own lunch.
Now that Liu Fei’er was a celebrity, Qin Tian had to consider privacy issues regarding her outings.
The trio ate and chatted until suddenly Liu Fei’er received a phone call and got up to take it.
Two minutes later, Liu Fei’er returned to her seat, her face beaming with a smile, and said to Qin Tian,
"Qin Tian, I’ve just been notified that next Sunday, Beijing TV station is holding the Huaxia Film and Television Festival. At the event, they will present awards for Best Actor and Actress, as well as Best Television Actor and Actress, and I’ve been nominated for Best New Perforr and Best Actress in a Television Series!"
Liu Fei’er was so excited she almost hugged Qin Tian and kissed him, but luckily she noticed Wang Han nearby and restrained herself, though she still danced with joy.
"I heard a while back that the nominations had started, so I didn’t hold out much hope and didn’t even contemplate the possibility. But unexpectedly, ’The Story of the Revered Consort in the Imperial Harem’ beca a huge hit in the second half of the year, and we caught the last train. I was told I got in as a supplentary nomination!"
Liu Fei’er was as happy as a child.
Hearing this, both Qin Tian and Wang Han were delighted and got up to celebrate together.
This was a pleasant surprise indeed. Qin Tian never expected Liu Fei’er to rise so rapidly; after the latter half of the year, she instantly beca one of Huaxia’s hottest stars in film and television.
The Best Actor and Actress awards from Beijing TV station are so of the most influential in the country. The judging panel and expert group are very authoritative; it’s one of the most impactful awards in the Huaxia entertainnt industry.
Who would have thought that Liu Fei’er, in her first official year in the entertainnt industry, would reap such rewards, earning nominations for both Best New Perforr and Best Television Actress!
"Fei’er, this is huge news; we must have a drink to celebrate," Qin Tian said happily as he ordered a bottle of red wine to celebrate with Liu Fei’er and Wang Han.
Wang Han was so happy she cried tears of joy. She never envisioned that in just one year, her and Liu Fei’er’s lives could undergo such earth-shattering changes.
One year prior, it was sothing they couldn’t even dream of!
"Fei’er, aren’t you going to toast to your Qin Tian? We owe so much to him; without his help, there would be no you today, and no
either," Wang Han said excitedly as she stood up to toast Qin Tian with Liu Fei’er.
The three of them drank rrily and celebrated wildly until they finished lunch at two in the afternoon.
You shouldn’t drive after drinking, so in the end, it was Liu Fei’er’s two assistants who drove them back.
Once sober, Wang Han imdiately began booking flights back to Beijing.
The event in Zhonghai City had ended, and now with a few days to spare before Beijing TV’s Huaxia Film and Television Festival awards, Liu Fei’er also received a call from Zhou Minghong asking her to return to Beijing early to participate in activities in preparation for the awards.
Because the two assistants still had to cater to other artists from Qin’s Entertainnt, they stayed in Zhonghai City, while Qin Tian and his companions directly took a taxi to Zhonghai Airport.
In Beijing, upon hearing that Liu Fei’er and Qin Tian were returning, Zhou Minghong personally went to pick them up from the airport, then they discussed how to package and promote Liu Fei’er together.
Even though the award is a matter for the judges, self-packaging and promotion are still very important, especially in dealing with negative news which must be handled cautiously. If not careful, it could fernt online and ruin an artist.
By the ti the three returned to the villa where Liu Fei’er and her mother lived, it was already around eleven o’clock at night.
Qin Tian and Liu Fei’er were resting on the couch while Wang Han went to make tea and cut fruit.
"Fei’er, about this awards, I didn’t expect it to co so soon...haha, I thought of your classmate, what’s her na? She made a bet with
back then, a bet on who between you and her would win the Best Actress title first."
As he lay on the couch, recalling the scene where he had stood up for Liu Fei’er in front of that girl, Qin Tian felt secretly thrilled.
That girl surely must be so angry that she’s out of sorts to hear that Liu Fei’er has been nominated for two major awards, haha!
"It’s Zhang Yunzi."
Liu Fei’er also laughed, "I heard before that Zhang Yunzi was using all sorts of connections to try for a nomination for Best Actress, but she failed. However, it seems she was nominated for Best Newcor. She acted in several dramas this year that weren’t successful, except one modern drama that gained so fa, and I don’t know why, but she also got a Best Newcor nomination."
Thinking about it, Liu Fei’er felt it was a bit unfair. As classmates, she knew Zhang Yunzi’s acting skills: unable to shed a tear in a sad scene, and giving an awkward, nose-collapsing smile in codies—completely lacking in talent.
Yet, despite that, Zhang Yunzi was still nominated for Best Newcor—this shows that the Zhang family’s connections in the entertainnt industry are both extensive and strong.
With this thought, Liu Fei’er felt slightly worried that there might be underhanded dealings in the awards.
Qin Tian, seeing what Liu Fei’er was thinking, said, "Fei’er, don’t worry, even if Zhang Yunzi wins, it’ll just be for Best Newcor. As long as you get the Best Actress statue, you can completely outshine her. The awards at the Huaxia Film and Television Festival are authoritative because, I think, there’s little chance of any underhanded dealings. Otherwise, such awards—if given to us, we would not want them."

As the year drew to a close, the famous Huaxia Film and Television Festival hosted by Beijing TV Station was grandly held on the weekend.
At seven in the evening, the male and female stars began to walk the red carpet.
It was either intentional or coincidental that Beijing TV Station’s scheduled appearance order had Zhang Yunzi and Liu Fei’er one after the other, with Zhang Yunzi in front and Liu Fei’er following.
Both were in black Audi cars, one behind the other.
The one to first step out was Zhang Yunzi in a black gown. The bustling scene remained lively, but few people cheered for her.
Awkwardly, Zhang Yunzi still smiled and waved to the crowd around her.
However, when she looked at the audience nearby, she imdiately noticed sothing unusual—
