Chapter 574: Chapter 576: ng Yao is Moved

Qin Tian was already braving the cold wind and walking outside as he spoke.

ng Yao looked at the handgun in her hand, and then at the retreating figure of Qin Tian. Sohow, at this mont, she felt an unparalleled sense of peace, as if with Qin Tian by her side, she had nothing to worry about.

In the past, she only knew that Qin Tian could fight, but now she finally understood that Qin Tian had many other skills. He had dical skills, and his driving was top-notch (clearly an experienced driver); his wilderness survival skills were truly unique...

"No wonder both Murong Fei and Lu Qing are interested in him—he really is a man with a strange charm..."

Thinking of everything that had happened since she t Qin Tian, ng Yao also found it strange that she initially had a bad impression of him, yet now it was getting better and better.

To what extent?

To the extent that... even if she were stripped naked and seen by him... it seed not so embarrassing...

"This man must be a rare gem," ng Yao said with a smile, holding the handgun as she added a few sticks to the fire and pursed her lips.

"What does it matter to

if Murong Fei and Lu Qing like him? Why should I be unhappy? Strange..."

She began to talk to herself.

ng Yao’s mind wandered in the pitch-black night, not feeling ti pass quickly at all. An hour and a half later, footsteps echoed from a distance, making her alert imdiately.

When she saw it was Qin Tian, ng Yao relievedly set down the handgun.

Qin Tian looked sowhat exhausted at that mont, but he had brought back a big bundle of firewood, and it seed he had stuffed sothing inside his clothes as well.

"Did you get so food?"

Seeing Qin Tian return, ng Yao looked at him and, seeing his confident expression, knew he must have found sothing.

"I ca across a bald man and sparrows in a cave. I didn’t kill any rabbits or sparrows because we don’t have seasonings or cooking tools, so it’s useless to bring back at."

As he spoke, Qin Tian set down the firewood and slowly took out the things he was carrying, placing them in front of ng Yao and explaining one by one, "I raided a bird’s nest and got two nests of sparrow eggs, a total of nine. We can eat these eggs to replenish our nutrition."

Qin Tian carefully set down the sparrow eggs and continued, "These are wild yams I found in a rabbit’s burrow, two of them, though nibbled a bit by rabbits, but definitely edible. That should be enough for dinner, right?"

"Wow, where did you find these? In this snowy weather, there are still such things?"

Seeing Qin Tian putting down the food, ng Yao was stunned, having not expected to find wild yams in the snow.

"You wouldn’t know. As long as you understand the habits of the animals, finding such things is relatively easy, unless in such a huge forest there are no animals at all."

Qin Tian smiled, sat down, and said, "It’s winter, sparrows and rabbits need to survive the winter too, right? I know their habits and where their nests are likely to be. Heh, as long as they have food for the winter, we have sothing to eat too. Of course, I didn’t take it all, after all, and I care about the animals, haha..."

"Look how pleased you are with yourself..."

Seeing Qin Tian laugh heartily, ng Yao rolled her eyes at him but was still quite happy inside.

Qin Tian roasted the sparrow eggs, while ng Yao used a dagger to peel the wild yams. In less than an hour, the two had a simple dinner.

By then, in the woods, snow began to fall gently, accompanied by the biting cold wind. The two huddled in a small cave and started to sleep

The campfire in the pit was still burning, although the flas had decreased.

Qin Tian leaned against the cave wall, curled up, and began to sleep.

After a tough day, he was enormously drained and quickly fell asleep, looking completely exhausted.

On the other hand, ng Yao, sleeping in a more sheltered part of the cave shielded by Qin Tian from the wind and snow, surprisingly couldn’t fall asleep.

Watching Qin Tian’s sleeping figure by the campfire, ng Yao sighed to herself, wondering how she could ever have ended up in such a place with Qin Tian...

The night quieted down.

At so point, ng Yao also closed her eyes and fell asleep.

"Pfft!"

It wasn’t yet dawn when Qin Tian was suddenly awoken by the sound of ng Yao sneezing.

He opened his eyes and saw ng Yao huddled in the corner of the cave, sneezing several tis in a row, her body trembling violently.

"What’s wrong?"

Seeing this, Qin Tian imdiately noticed that ng Yao’s complexion was off.

As he spoke, he leaned over and touched ng Yao’s forehead—

ng Yao had a fever!

"Oh no, so hot, you have a fever." Qin Tian turned around, grabbed the dical box, searched for a long ti, and then was dumbfounded, "There’s no fever dicine..."

"Forget it, it’s just a common cold. I’ll just sleep it off," ng Yao said weakly.

"This isn’t just a common cold. You are injured, and your body is already frail. Coupled with the harsh and cold environnt here, the flu and fever are complications from the injury; we can’t ignore it."

Qin Tian knew that a person’s body is most vulnerable after an injury, so he was still sowhat anxious about ng Yao’s fever, especially since the conditions were poor and there was no dicine.

Right then, Qin Tian took ng Yao’s hand to check her pulse and said in surprise, "This seems to be serious, your fever might have reached 40 degrees."

Qin Tian pursed his lips solemnly, and said, "You should sleep closer to the fire, you must not get chilled again, otherwise, the condition could beco more severe."

Qin Tian saw that ng Yao was only wearing two pieces of clothing, both very thin. After hesitating for a mont, he imdiately took off his coat and put it on ng Yao.

"You’re giving

your coat, and you’re just wearing a short-sleeve?"

Seeing Qin Tian’s action, ng Yao was taken aback and looked at him.

She indeed was cold, shivering intensely, feeling very weak.

Yet, Qin Tian was also thinly dressed. He actually gave her his coat while he only wore a short-sleeve?

This was a night of icy snow!

"You should wear it yourself," ng Yao tried to take the coat off.

Qin Tian quickly stopped her, saying, "You are sick, your health is what matters. I’m fine, healthy, no problem. Don’t say more, just go to sleep; we’ll continue on our way at dawn."

After speaking, Qin Tian sat near the entrance, shielding ng Yao from the wind and snow while she hesitated for a mont, then moved closer to the fire pit, and started to sleep.

However, at this ti, ng Yao, despite her frailty, could not fall asleep.

The act of Qin Tian giving her his coat had profoundly touched her.

All the bad impressions she had of Qin Tian seed to disappear completely at that mont.

Her gaze lingered on Qin Tian, dazed and entranced.

Qin Tian, on the other hand, was curled up into a ball, blowing on his hands and rubbing them together to generate heat. Despite this, he was still shivering from the cold.

Just when Qin Tian felt exceptionally cold, ng Yao quietly moved closer...
