Chapter 117: Chapter 116: Monster?
"Qin Tian, be careful!"
Seeing the five vicious wolves suddenly launch an attack on Qin Tian, ng Yao’s heart tightened suddenly, and she couldn’t help but cry out.
Her fists were clenched with nervousness, and her right hand had already lifted the gun, ready to shoot without hesitation if Qin Tian was in danger.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!
The five vicious wolves were ferociously extre, pouncing towards Qin Tian like shadows!
Qin Tian had been prepared, his face suddenly clouded with a chill, and the dagger "Dragon Blood" in his hand emitted a burst of bloody light!
Swoosh swoosh swoosh!
As the five vicious wolves leaped through the air, Qin Tian’s arm swung vigorously, and a succession of crisp sounds followed—
In midair, cries of agony ca from the wolves one after another!
Thump thump thump...
By the ti the five wolves reached Qin Tian, they seed to lose power midair, and directly fell down.
Howl... Howl!
Two of the wolves let out pitiful cries.
But it was all too late, the five wolves, in the blink of an eye, had their bellies slashed open by Qin Tian, spilling blood profusely!
Watching this scene, ng Yao was stunned.
Her mouth agape, she completely forgot to close it, looking at the silhouette of Qin Tian with an almost worshipful admiration in her eyes.
After learning martial arts, she had been a police officer in the city, more than capable of dealing with ordinary petty thieves, so ng Yao had always been very confident in her skills.
But now, after seeing the move Qin Tian just displayed, ng Yao was dumbstruck. Her own skills seed unable to withstand even a single move from him.
Her mind replayed the scene of Qin Tian stepping in to help and his effortless handling of enemies in the forest during the daylight, and she was frozen.
This Qin Tian, is he a man or a monster?
At this mont, the five injured wolves on the ground were groaning and struggling, their ferocious gaze already dimming.
Qin Tian walked towards the five wolves, and they trembled in terror!
Perhaps, they regretted not following the White-furred Wolf King’s command to leave!
Howl!
The White-furred Wolf King, looking back, let out a mournful howl and slowly, it returned with its dozen or so wolves.
With a flash of his Dragon Blood Dagger, Qin Tian’s gaze beca frosty as he looked towards the White-furred Wolf King.
The White-furred Wolf King growled at Qin Tian twice but lowered its head, and along with the other wolves, ca forward, grabbing the bodies of their five severely wounded pack mbers, and began to slowly drag them away.
As the White-furred Wolf King was leading its companions away, nearly vanishing from sight, almost all the wolves turned to look back at Qin Tian.
All the wolves howled at Qin Tian in unison.
It wasn’t a howl of anger, but rather one of reverent awe!
Wolves are a species that believe in the survival of the fittest, honoring strength above all.
Just now, Qin Tian had completely subdued them, so much so that all the wolves paid homage to him!
"He, what sort of monster is he... Even the wolves are afraid of him?"
ng Yao saw the wolves’ intentions and was too shocked for words.
It was only after the howling of the wolves had faded away that Qin Tian put away the dagger and slowly turned around.
The murderous aura around him also gradually receded.
When Qin Tian ca to sit back by the firelight, ng Yao’s eyes were wide open, staring intently at him.
Qin Tian looked up at her and said, "Why are you looking at
like that? You haven’t fallen for , have you?"
"You’re at it again,"
In the past, ng Yao wouldn’t have hesitated to scold Qin Tian upon hearing his words, but now, she just smirked, knowing that Qin Tian had probably reverted to his carefree deanor from monts ago.
After a pause, ng Yao curiously asked, "Qin Tian, what exactly do you do?"
"What’s up?"
"Your skills... just now, you actually killed five wolves in one second? How did you do that?"
ng Yao was extrely curious. Just monts before, when the five wolves pounced towards Qin Tian, he wielded his dagger in the blink of an eye, swinging it five tis with deadly precision, slashing the wolves out of the air.
Not only was his speed frighteningly fast, but his strikes were also incredibly accurate, making ng Yao hardly believe her own eyes.
She thought that perhaps even the heroes in martial arts TV shows wouldn’t match up.
"Oh, just got lucky, I had my dagger on hand, and those five wolves probably didn’t see it clearly and ran right into it," Qin Tian explained.
"Pssh, that kind of talk might fool a fool..."
"Heh, you do know yourself pretty well, huh."
"You... can’t you speak properly?"
The two began to bicker again, and seeing that Qin Tian had no intention of answering her question, ng Yao felt too embarrassed to ask further.
Qin Tian continued to roast the wild rabbit and chicken over the fire. Soon, they were cooked, and Qin Tian handed her a chicken leg.
In the wilderness, without any seasoning, they were ant to eat roasted chicken just like that?
ng Yao initially refused, but her stomach growled in protest, and she couldn’t hold back any longer, especially seeing Qin Tian enjoying his al so much. Therefore, she too began to eat the chicken leg.
It didn’t taste as bad as she imagined; in fact, it was quite alright.
However, after becoming thirsty, they could only drink mineral water.
Qin Tian had used quite a bit of water to skin the rabbit and clean the chicken earlier, leaving them with only two small bottles of mineral water. Fortunately, it was enough, and they planned to refill at a river or sothing similar if they ca across one tomorrow.
"Now that we’ve eaten and drunk our fill, ti to sleep,"
Qin Tian said, stretching after the al, addressing ng Yao.
ng Yao surveyed the surrounding environnt and furrowed her brows.
Having been pampered since childhood, apart from her slightly tough experiences at the police academy, she had never really suffered hardship before.
This would be her first ti sleeping outdoors without even a tent.
"How am I supposed to sleep here?" ng Yao asked, feeling uneasy.
Qin Tian chuckled bitterly, "How to sleep? Just lie down and sleep."
"I an the conditions... How can I get any sleep?" ng Yao said.
"Then don’t sleep, count the stars," Qin Tian stuck out his tongue at her, "Miss high and mighty, never endured a bit of hardship? Well, I don’t care, I’m off to sleep."
With that, Qin Tian draped his outer garnt over himself, leaned against a rock, and really went to sleep.
ng Yao looked at him, speechless.
Less than half an hour later, Qin Tian began to snore, and she was even more lost for words: "Pig."
She smirked and stretched out, snuggling into her luggage bag to slowly drift off to sleep.
When the two woke up the next day, it was already light.
ng Yao’s foot injury was getting worse, but Qin Tian was helpless without any dication to treat it.
So, after a simple drink of water, Qin Tian carried ng Yao on his back and continued heading north.
They walked from morning to afternoon, and from afternoon until dusk. As the sun was about to set, they finally saw a house in the depths of the forest.
"We’re finally about to get out of here. Let’s rest here tonight and head out tomorrow," Qin Tian said.
ng Yao nodded, and the two of them headed towards the wooden house nestled within the trees.
