Chapter 106: Chapter 105 You’re Not So Dumb After All
"One!"
Qin Tian fixed his gaze on ng Yao, and the engine of his car roared with full horsepower.
"Two!"
"Wait! Wait a mont!"
ng Yao hurriedly waved her hands, panicking.
"Alright, I admit I’m scared of you." She frowned, turned around, and took a suitcase from her car, ca over to Qin Tian’s car, and said, "Open the car door."
"What do you want to do now?" Qin Tian was taken aback.
"My car broke down, I need to ride in yours," said ng Yao.
"I’m chasing soone; I won’t give you a ride," Qin Tian flatly refused.
"My... My car broke down..."
Seeing that Qin Tian wasn’t opening the car door, ng Yao beca anxious, "I’m also chasing soone. We’re going the sa way, Qin Tian. I’m a police officer; if you don’t give
a ride, you’ll be obstructing an officer on duty!"
"Ha, obstructing the police? You’re threatening ? Now I definitely won’t give you a ride."
Qin Tian hadn’t expected the policewoman to ask for a favor so self-righteously and even with a threat. He certainly couldn’t show any weakness now. He was just about to drive away when ng Yao suddenly grabbed his car door and shouted, "Don’t go, don’t leave!"
"Qin Tian, can you, can you do
a favor? My car broke down, and there’s neither village in front nor store behind. I can’t fix the car... If you leave, I’ll be all alone... I won’t be able to go back."
Now, ng Yao’s tone had softened significantly, and Qin Tian turned his head to look at her.
Indeed, in these wild and desolate woods, if he left now, ng Yao would probably have to walk back. To walk back... it might take her ten days or half a month to make it.
A beautiful woman alone in these wild and desolate woods might very well run into trouble.
"You want
to give you a ride?" Qin Tian blinked his eyes.
"Mhm."
Thinking about how pitiful she would be if Qin Tian really left her here, ng Yao’s tone instantly made a one hundred and eighty-degree turn. Any pretense she had was gone.
"Qin Tian, please, don’t leave
behind... This is my first ti in this place..."
Now you know to ask for a favor? Just a mont ago, you were acting so entitled... Qin Tian thought to himself but also saw it as an opportunity to take her down a peg, "I’ll give you a ride, sure, but you have to say sothing nice, sothing that pleases , then I’ll do it."
"You..."
Hearing that, ng Yao beca annoyed, "What kind of nice thing do you want
to say?"
She felt helpless, but given the current circumstances, she had to ask for his help. With no other choice, ng Yao now had to lower her proud head before Qin Tian.
"Whatever you want, as long as you make , your ’dear uncle,’ happy."
"Dear Uncle... you sure are old enough."
ng Yao curled her lips, then after a mont of contemplation and mustering her courage, she said to Qin Tian: "Qin Tian, you... you’re really handso."
"Pfft..."
Seeing ng Yao’s insincere expression, Qin Tian almost spat out his drink. "I’ve known I’m handso for a long ti; no need for your complints."
"You’re a really good person."
"I already know that too."
"You... You have a kind heart and are a once-in-four-thousand-years handso man in Huaxia, and you’re also willing to help others, courageous in upholding justice, and never do any evil..."
"..."
Listening to ng Yao’s "praise," Qin Tian had black lines under his eyes.
"They say beautiful won have no brains, and seems it’s true. Can’t you even flatter soone properly?" Qin Tian glared at her.
If it had been an ordinary day, ng Yao would have exploded after being called "no brains" by Qin Tian.
But now, ng Yao just blushed awkwardly, looking down, and with a pleading gaze, she said, "I’ve said all the flattering things I could think of..."
"That’s all the words you have for flattering soone? And who uses ’never do any evil’ as a complint?"
Qin Tian was nearly at his wit’s end, "Was your language teacher a chemistry teacher or what?"
Seizing the opportunity, Qin Tian left ng Yao pursing her lips, saying nothing.
You have to admit, the beauty looked quite spirited today in her jeans and denim shirt, complented by the black leather boots on her feet. Attractive. Especially the way her chest undulated beneath a tight black tee that barely contained her full form.
"Get in,"
Qin Tian grimaced as he opened the car door.
Considering the ti, a couple of minutes had passed already, and Qin Tian didn’t want to keep dawdling with this woman any longer.
Seeing this, ng Yao’s face lit up with joy, and she smiled, "Thank you."
After she spoke, she quickly slipped into the car, as if she feared Qin Tian might change his mind.
"Hey, rember you owe
a favor now, huh. When we get back to Zhonghai City, you’re treating
to a big al to make it up to . That’s not too much to ask, right?"
As soon as ng Yao got into the car, Qin Tian started it and drove off quickly.
"That I can do." Qin Tian’s request was reasonable, and ng Yao agreed without hesitation.
"I can’t figure out how you beca a police officer."
Qin Tian shook his head with a bitter smile, "And you ca here all alone to chase after a criminal? Even if you caught up, what then? There are several people in their car; can you beat them?"
"I, I can," ng Yao said confidently.
"Alright," Qin Tian sneered, thinking to himself that won with larger chests really are confident.
"You better hope there’s no fork in the road for the next few dozen miles because it might be hard for us to catch them today."
Even though he was driving as fast as possible, the delay worried Qin Tian, and all he could do was take it one step at a ti.
"You’re, you’re driving too fast... slow down."
Sitting in the backseat, ng Yao gripped the handle on the roof tightly, feeling dizzy and disoriented.
Qin Tian was driving so fast it was becoming unbearable for her, especially on the mountain roads which were bumpy and harsh, almost making her want to vomit.
"If I slow down, we won’t catch them. You’re not carsick, are you?" Qin Tian said, obviously having no intention of reducing his speed.
"I, I’m not carsick at all."
Upon hearing this, ng Yao got defensive and said, "I’ve been riding in cars since I was little."
Pursing her lips and suppressing the dizziness, ng Yao said, "I an, you don’t have to drive so fast; we can catch up with them."
"What do you an? Are you saying you have a dog’s nose, able to sniff them out?"
"You’re the dog! Your whole family are dogs!"
ng Yao snapped back angrily, "You’re so dumb; I’m not going to stoop to your level."
Qin Tian: "..."
"I’ve installed a tracker on their car; don’t worry, they won’t get away."
As she spoke, ng Yao took out her phone and said, "Slow down, and I’ll locate them to see where they’ve gone."
Now Qin Tian really did slow down.
It seed he had underestimated this darn pretty policewoman; she actually knew to put a tracker on Qiao Zhicheng’s car in advance. Not bad; not completely foolish.
It made sense, too. How else could ng Yao have possibly tracked them all the way from Zhonghai City to these desolate mountains in Xijiang Province?
Upon getting her phone out and fiddling with it, ng Yao looked up at the screen and said, "They haven’t gone far, just about... four or five miles ahead."
"That’s great!" Qin Tian laughed, "Get ready, we’re going to catch them!"
Whoosh whoosh!
Qin Tian let out a loud laugh and suddenly accelerated to the car’s top speed!
"Ah!"
From the back seat, a panicked scream ca from ng Yao as she was thrown all over the place, grabbing at the handles on the roof in terror.
"You, you need to slow down or you’re going to kill us, I hit my head! It hurts like hell!"
