Ye Xingxue glanced at Ye Shaohua instinctively when she heard this. Her sister was shoveling food into her mouth without looking up.

"It’s okay, I asked him a lot of questions," Ye Xingxue smiled. "He also wants to apply for S University. I calculated my scores; they should be enough to get in."

"Really? What does Wei Hang’s family do? Where are they from?" Ye’s mother bead with joy.

Ye Xingxue didn’t go back to her room. "I’m not sure, but he’s a local from Demon City. I think his family is in big business."

Ye’s mother knew this even without Ye Xingxue saying anything.

A Demon City brand watch cost over a hundred yuan, and Wei Hang casually wore one on his wrist. The most valuable thing, however, was the mobile phone he brought out.

Ye’s mother didn’t know how much it cost, but it was at least a few thousand yuan.

How wealthy a family must be to afford such items?

"Let’s have them over for dinner tomorrow. Mom will kill that old hen and make a pot of soup," Ye’s mother said.

Ye Xingxue responded with an acknowledgnt.

After dinner and a shower, Ye Shaohua returned to her room and burrowed into the upper bunk to study her new mobile phone.

When Ye Xinghui ca ho that evening and saw the room occupied, he didn’t say anything, knowing guests had arrived from the village. He was carrying a book that Lu Pandi had given him on the way; it was the sa book Shaohua had given Lu Pandi that morning. By evening, for so reason, Lu Pandi had tearfully asked Ye Xinghui to return it to Shaohua.

He intended to knock on Shaohua’s door but, recalling the day’s unpleasantness, chose not to.

Instead, he dropped the book on the table in his own room and, after dinner, took two books outside to do howork and read. He planned to sleep in his father’s room later, as his parents’ room had too dim a light for reading.

Jiang Heng and Wei Hang arrived around nine in the evening.

Loud barking could be heard outside as the two n ca in with flashlights.

The Ye Family was still awake. Upon hearing the noise, Ye Xingxue clambered out of bed to chat and joke with them.

Most of the jovial conversation was with Wei Hang, while Jiang Heng simply stood to the side with a smile.

After Ye Xingxue left, the two n closed the door and surveyed the room.

Naturally, the room prepared by the Ye Family for Ye Xinghui wouldn’t be too shabby.

It had no clutter, and while not particularly spacious, it was the best room at the Ye’s, fully furnished.

Wei Hang boredly flipped through a book on the desk and was attracted to the handwriting on the first page, "Ye Shaohua? Her handwriting is pretty nice."

Jiang Heng glanced at it and agreed, although he didn’t make much of it. He was, however, puzzled to see a foreign milk candy wrapper in the corner of the desk. "Isn’t this a foreign product? How could it be here?"

"It must be sothing Ce Fang and the others gave Xingxue," Wei Hang glanced over without much surprise.

Wei Hang and Jiang Heng stayed at the Ye Family’s for two days.

During that ti, the Wei Family sent over another mobile phone.

Jiang Heng was sowhat surprised to see Wei Hang request an additional phone but didn’t comnt.

At five in the morning, even in the sumr, the village was far from quiet; so of the elderly were already up cooking. Seeing Wei Hang still asleep, Jiang Heng, dressed in sportswear, went out for a morning run.

However, just as he reached the car’s gate, he saw a white figure running from the outside with even breathing and a little sweat on the forehead, apparently also returning from a morning run.

The runner, against the backdrop of the dawn sky, made for a striking scene.

Seeing the face of the runner, Jiang Heng paused, "You, you’re Xingxue’s sister, Ye Shaohua?"
