Officer Ter looked at the three mbers of the Ye Family, struck as if by thunder, said nothing more, and went straight back.

However, at the bottom of his heart, he was wondering. He had followed Yun Mo for so long, and had never seen him recognize Ye Shaohua. How co Yun Mo had ntioned yesterday that he had known Shaohua a long ti ago?

Unable to figure it out, General Ter simply stopped pondering the issue.

On this side, after dealing with the Ye Family’s matters, Yun Mo went directly to his father.

He was still dressed in his dark-colored combat suit, his profound eyes colder than usual. The Yun Family mbers had gathered to discuss important family affairs.

The eting Room door suddenly banged open.

The people sitting on the chairs looked towards the door and unsurprisingly saw the upright figure walking in step by step.

At the sight of him, Yun’s father’s eyes brightened, "Has the energy in your body recovered?"

The others, too, were excited and about to speak when Yun Mo interrupted them.

"I didn’t an to interrupt," Yun Mo glanced at everyone in the eting Room, his gaze finally resting on his father. He didn’t answer his father’s question, but simply said, "Just two things. First, none of you are allowed to interfere with my personal affairs. Second, as of today, I will take back the rights of the First Legion."

"Yun..." Yun’s father’s complexion changed drastically at these words, "You, this..."

It was clear he was stripping away his father’s authority!

"Father, do you have any advice for ?" Yun Mo looked at him, squinting his deep eyes.

Yun’s father bit his lip. Even if he didn’t want to believe it, he knew that the Yun Family’s current status was all thanks to Yun Mo. "No objections," he said reluctantly.

"Good." Yun Mo nodded and left directly.

Yun Mo was the soul of the Z Alliance’s First Legion; it had been many years since he had personally handled matters, but everyone outside knew that, in fact, the other alliances respected him, Yun Mo’s, face.

The influence Ye Shaohua had built was also steadily growing within the Z Alliance. Since her branch of ancient dicine had started to take off, doctors had beco unnecessary, and even prominent figures from other alliances were rushing to seek her out.

It wasn’t just about not expelling Ye Shaohua from the Z Alliance, the M Alliance people were all waiting to poach her.

Ye Shaohua did not deliberately suppress the ng Family or the Qiu Family, but within just three months, both families had plumted into a period of decline.

ng Yuchen, after all her scheming to replace Ye Shaohua, thought her ti to shine had co and that she’d reap the fruits of both love and career. Yet, she never anticipated not only being slapped in the face but also that it would propel Ye Shaohua even further ahead.

Afterward, both the ng and Qiu families never managed to recover.

ng Yuchen did indeed manage to marry Qiu Zifan as she wished, but her married life was nothing like the free and easy life she had imagined.

Qiu Zifan, frustrated with his unfulfilled ambitions, was decadent all day long, doing nothing but drinking.

All she could do was secretly hope that one day Ye Shaohua would fall from grace, but instead, she heard the news that Yun Mo had made a grand proposal, which was a definite blow for ng Yuchen.

She was living a more and more unsuccessful life, while the Ye Shaohua she couldn’t bear to acknowledge was thriving more and more brightly.

The Qiu Family might have declined, but Qiu Ziting still didn’t change her extravagant ways. She pretended to be wealthy with friends and gambled, and over the course of one night, she racked up a huge debt.

One million Alliance coins, which to the forr Qiu Family was only a drop in the bucket, but the current Qiu Family, struggling to maintain their industry, could not possibly afford such a sum.

Qiu Zifan’s face no longer bore the aura of a favored son of heaven.

This debt could not be left unpaid, but to whom could he turn?

His forr friends had long since blocked his communications, and the few who had not, were all waiting to ridicule him.

Flipping through the phonebook over and over, he finally found an unsigned number.

Despite the lack of signature, Qiu Zifan could recite this number with his eyes closed. He knew to whom it belonged and, for so reason, dialed the number.

The call was answered not by Ye Shaohua, but by Site.

This man he once looked down upon as a commoner was now a top figure in the Z Alliance.

For a mont, Qiu Zifan thought about hanging up the phone in embarrassnt, but Site didn’t intend to scoff at him. Instead, he replied, "You’re really lucky. Lady Ye is in the lab today. You can co over, but there are many people looking for her."

Rationally, Qiu Zifan shouldn’t go to Ye Shaohua, but in reality, he searched through his closet for a long ti, finally found a decent outfit, shaved his beard, and went to see Ye Shaohua.

Deep down, he was still thinking about how, if it weren’t for their Qiu Family, Ye Shaohua would never have co to the Z Alliance, let alone have her current success.

Of course, he had also wondered what it would have been like if he hadn’t divorced Ye Shaohua back in the day.

"Qiu Zifan, have you never asked your grandfather, why he made you marry back then?" Hearing Qiu Zifan’s sowhat entitled remark, Ye Shaohua waved at Yun Mo, asking him to wait a mont.

Of course, Qiu Zifan hadn’t asked. He looked at Ye Shaohua’s indifferent expression, and a subconscious unease took hold of his heart. Could there really be a story behind it all?

He didn’t bring up the matter of the money, instead, he hurriedly returned to the Qiu Family and found Grandfather Qiu.

Caught off guard, Grandfather Qiu fell silent for a mont. He originally didn’t want to speak, but under the relentless persuasion of Qiu Zifan, he finally opened his mouth.

"A year ago, you returned from the battlefield with serious injuries, rember?"

Qiu Zifan frowned, "Of course, but I got better afterward."

"How could you just ’get better’? At the ti, we didn’t tell you to prevent a breakdown, but your leg was nearly crippled." Grandfather Qiu’s face showed signs of regret as he recalled the event.

"How could that be? If it were crippled, how could I be standing here perfectly fine?" Qiu Zifan doubted his grandfather’s words.

"I learned about a rare dicinal herb in Old Master Ye’s possession that could heal your leg. At that ti, Old Master Ye was on his last legs, and the dicinal herb was with Ye Shaohua," Grandfather Qiu sighed, "At that ti, the old Ye asked her if she was willing to save you, and she nodded. That single, unique dicinal plant on the planet was given to you, and as a condition, she also married you."

Grandfather Qiu couldn’t continue with the rest of the story.

He originally thought that Ye Shaohua wasn’t worthy of his grandson. Who would have known she would have such fortune today? If he had known earlier, he would have treasured this granddaughter-in-law. He had been too clever by half, and ruined a perfectly good situation with his own hands!

"So it wasn’t that she used so sche to marry , but that we took advantage of her and Old Master Ye’s dire situation, coerced them into giving up that dicinal herb, and in the end, we drove her away?" Qiu Zifan covered his chest, his face a mixture of confusion and realization as he looked up.
