Chapter 70 – A Stark-Naked Threat (赤裸裸的威胁)
Jing Yunzhao understood that to deal with soone like Jiang Xia, a more straightforward thod was necessary.
Jing Yunzhao had phrased it so blatantly and directly while staring at Jiang Xia with her deep, black eyes. Jiang Xia instantly understood her aning and couldn’t help but shiver.
It was a threat! A stark-naked (obvious) threat!

Jing Yunzhao smiled cynically after glancing at him before turning around, leaving with Xiao Haiqing.
“Little Yun? What’s wrong?” Old Man Gan Songbai, who chanced upon her as she stepped out of the hospital, quickly asked. He had noticed so abnormality with her and had assud that she was feeling unwell.
Standing beside Gan Songbai was Gan Jinchen. He ran his eyes over her yet pretended as if he did not see her.
“Grandpa, I’m all right. One of my classmates was injured, so I ca to visit her,” Jing Yunzhao rushed to explain. After saying that, she looked at Gan Jinchen and was curious: “The day of testing hasn’t arrived, right?”
They had been living under the sa roof for quite a few days after all. She had heard Su Chu say that Gan Jinchen rarely returned ho, even on the weekends. Usually, you could not see his interest in dicine at all just by looking at him, so Gan Jinchen appearing here (at the hospital with Grandpa Gan) was a pretty strange thing.
Disdain and awkwardness both flashed through Gan Jinchen’s eyes as he looked at her before quickly dodging her gaze. It was too obvious that it left Jing Yunzhao bewildered.
Old Grandpa Gan looked at his own grandson and blushed: “Yes, it hasn’t arrived yet. This kid had so business with . Was your classmate injured in the eye?”
Even though there were a lot of patients here today, those among her age were only a few. Rembering the rumor going around today, Grandpa Gan beca a little curious.
“Yes,” Jing Yunzhao nodded.
“I heard from my juniors that it was fortunate that a little girl had helped in ti otherwise her eye would’ve been lost. It can’t be that the one who helped... was you?” Grandpa Gan exposed an excited, expectant expression.
Logically speaking, he shouldn’t think that it was Jing Yunzhao. But then he rembered the mysterious Shifu behind Jing Yunzhao and thought that only Jing Yunzhao could do sothing like this.
The feeling he got from this little girl was really weird. It was as if she was very knowledgeable on the topic of dicine yet was also a complete newbie who couldn’t grasp things completely.
Gan Jinchen was surprised but without her response, he refused to believe it.
He had heard that Jing Yunzhao’s reputation was not good. So when he knew that she was moving in with them, he was very upset. He thought that his grandpa had been tricked by this girl.
Plus, right after she moved in, she started staying out late. She obviously seed like she was doing so bad things, just like the rumors. What if she influenced his cousin Su Chu?
As for his reason for coming today, it was very simple. He wanted to persuade grandpa to kick her out. There was no way he would live with a girl who had a bad character.
“Yes, it was . I had to do it as the situation was dire, but I will be more careful from now on. Before I get my dicine-practicing qualifications, I will try to not do such things again,” Jing Yunzhao nodded, expressing her sincerity.
