Chapter 185 – Seeking Justice (讨个公道) (oh god…it’s not what you guys think, kinda)

Gan Song Bai supported himself with the help of the table, his old bones swaying lightly. The director sighed, silently thinking that Gan Song Bai didn’t know how to appreciate his kindness.

This director was surnad Liu and was the grandson of the hospital’s Executive Director. The executive director was also soone who studied traditional dicine, but because of the rapid developnt of western dicine, his children and grandchildren all dabbled in both. However, Director Liu was still young and only had basic foundational knowledge of traditional dicine. Also, because of his family background, he had beco complacent at a young age.

“Sigh, let’s just discuss this openly then…” Director Liu let his head fall in frustration. He rubbed his eyes and gave Qin Zhi Xue a look as he began, “This elder brother, I can see that you’re not soone who’s unreasonable. How do you want to resolve this problem?”

A burst of joy lit up Qin Zhi Xue’s heart, but his expression didn’t change. “It’s still Director Liu who’s more reasonable. I just want for things to be clarified (this sounds very egoistic, not that he isn’t but). If your mother was abandoned at ho starving to death and your wife eloped with an old fogey, you’d be anxious too…”

Director Liu’s face darkened as he listened.

‘Cough cough’ “I’m just bringing up an example, Director don’t be angry…” Qin Zhi Xue gave an apologetic smile and continued, “I’m not asking for much either; I just want him to apologize to in front of everyone and admit that he’s lacking in dical ethics. I also want him to pledge that he won’t treat other patients like this in the future, and most importantly, I want my wife back. That’s it.” (E/N: You want nothing ??)

“Just like that?” Director Liu, who was expecting Qin Zhi Xue to demand monetary compensation, was shocked. (T/N: this rude person has total disregard for cause and effect of the reputation of any dical practitioner. Readers, don’t be like him. You can diss the rep of any place and people might still go there, but not doctors when it cos to ppls health. Ofc provided that they really aren’t that shit, if that doctor gave u aids during a jab or smth pls do)

However, he couldn’t deny that this was the best solution. It was just an apology, nothing much.

Such a large hospital like theirs also had a few instances of making mistakes during surgery. Usually, the patient’s family would start creating trouble and a smaller hospital would have to make a press conference to protect themselves. If it beca so bad that they couldn’t even hold a proper discussion, they would let the doctor show themselves to make an apology or just directly fire the doctor and things would be solved.

In any case, apologising and losing a little bit of face would always be better than spending money. If a few words could resolve the situation, why lose sothing else?

“Director Liu! What do you an by ‘Just like that’?! Don’t tell you don’t find his demands outrageous?!” Gan Song Bai was completely unable to believe such words had been uttered from Director Liu’s mouth.

His relationship with the hospital’s executive director was quite good. Unfortunately, one thing about Executive director Liu1 was that he’s very ambitious. He didn’t want to just start a small clinic, and adding on the that was the fact that his family had so money, he established this hospital in his youth. Business gradually expanded until they managed to reach this state today.

Afterwards, Executive Director Liu invited him over. To Gan Song Bai, what he put importance on wasn’t the money, but in everything else that would bring him if he worked with ED. Liu.

He wished to be able to reach more patients, and at the sa ti see what standards the other doctors in this hospital had reached.

Never in his dreams would he think that Executive Director Liu actually managed to raise a grandson like this!

Not asking about the truth of the matter, but asking about the other party’s demands the mont they arrive, and even feeling that their demands were missing sothing from the sounds of it!

Director Liu was also feeling sowhat impatient at the mont. He never had a good impression on this kind of obstinate old n. They always had an expression of being a teacher in life just because they have a bit of dical skills, but in reality, they were just putting on airs.

Physicians, saying it nicely, are profound and mysterious. Saying it unpleasantly, they’re just blindly coaxing you. It’s not like he didn’t know a thing!

“Doctor Gan, people have already found their way to our doors. If you don’t apologise, then do you want to drag the hospital down with you? It’s not like the other party requested you to do anything, just move your lips and lower your worth and things will be fine. What’s more, she’s still soone else’s wife in the end. Being with soone else’s wife is…”

‘Slap!’ Director Liu hadn’t finished speaking when Gan Song Bai’s palm firmly landed across his cheek.

“What do you think you are?! Even your grandfather wouldn’t talk to with your attitude! Want to apologize? I haven’t done anything wrong. On what basis should I apologize?!”
