Chapter 571: First Move

A few hours later the ship was landing on the imperial ship that the prince was aboard. After the hangar closed the ship had to cool off. While it did there hung an awkward silence inside of the transporting ship that ca up from the surface. While outside in the hangar they patiently waited for the external part of the transport ship to cool off.

Yes they had to wait for the ship’s external plating to cool off. Back in their galaxy it was common to know how to make an external plating that did not need ti to cool. But here in the Milky Way, the thod was either never discovered or had been lost to ti. But considering the archeological evidence that Jace found in his own galaxy, he considers the latter to be far more likely.

When the rear of the ship did open up and the ramp lowered. Jace was welcod by the sight of a full brigade of guards. Waiting at the bottom of the ramp was a young man in regal attire and next to him was the sa robed woman in a mask. The Prince and his Archivist.

"Move!" One of the soldiers yelled from behind.

Jace scoffed before walking forward down the ramp. "What’s this? Why are all of you holding him like that? Did you get the genetic samples?" The prince asked excitedly.

"No," one of the soldiers stepped forward but was clearly keeping away from Jace. Behind them a pair of soldiers were escorting West. "He has resisted and-"

"Where is your commanding officer?" The prince demanded as his bright smile turned into a frown. The soldiers pointed at a body on a stretcher that was covered in a tarp. The prince looked around at them. "Will soone explain what the hell is going on?" The prince demanded in anger.

The soldiers looked around at each other, unsure of what to do. West was the one to speak up. "Gladiator knocked out the dical officers who went to extract blood. Then Commander Orion threatened him and he dropped down dead. They have been unsure of how to act because they are terrified of him. The dical officers are staying clear of him as well because they have no clue how he knocked them out without moving." West explained with a grin. "It is also why they are keeping him away from you and their own distance."

"The fuck..." The Prince was confused before shaking his head and moving to the side. "Take him to the brig. We can try getting his blood again later."

Jace was escorted out of the hangar by the guards. Willingly going to the accommodations they had prepared for him. Once he was out, West was escorted forward.

"How did you capture him?" The Archivisit asked.

One of the soldiers escorting West went to speak but she spoke up first. "They didn’t, he surrendered himself. As for , I did not actually manage to track him. He left a trail intentionally so he could get a ride to this ship. He wants sothing from us, I just have no clue what."

The Prince frowned and growled out, "how can I trust that either you or Sherlock can be trusted. You both constantly belittle others because you believe you are smarter than everyone else. Well not . So until I figure out what exactly is going on. I want both of you to stay where I can see you. Take her to the brig as well." The prince instructed in anger and waved his hand.

As soon as she was out of the room the prince looked at the body on a stretcher. He waved the dics that were carrying it out away. Then dismissed the other soldiers and the pilots. Once they were all out all that was left was the Archivist.

The prince scread before he began kicking the ramp. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" He huffed in anger.

The archivist sighed and shook her head. "I told you to be careful of that temper. Just because your glorified lover is dead does not an you should lose it. You know as well as I do that Orion was one step short of throwing himself out of an airlock."

The Prince held up a finger and the archivist flinched as he glared at her. "Not a word."

The archivist raised an eyebrow. That was unexpected. But what was more unexpected was blood dripping from the prince’s hand. He had gripped his fist so hard that he drew blood. "Fine. But it would be best to rember that Gladiator is probably not the only one at this board playing a ga of chess with you. If you get too distracted by him, your siblings will take what you have built." She turned around and walked out of the hangar.

—-----------------------

Eight guards were escorting him. The corridors of the ship were mostly empty as he was moved. Another hint at their own understaffed nature. As they turned another corner he elbowed one of the n in the side and they went down unconscious. Only half of them had noticed because they could see it.

Jace went for them first. Grabbing the barrel of one of their guns and pushing it into the air as he kicked another of the guards into the chest sending them flying. There were two last ones, one of which had a quick enough reaction speed to pull up his weapon. But Jace was already pulling the man holding the other end of the gun and using him as a shield.

The man he sent flying was unconscious when he was kicked so he just hit a wall and fell unconscious. The man he was using as a shield scread as he was shot in the back. While Jace slamd his palm into another man’s chin, knocking him out.

Then as his human shield went down, Jace knocked him out and kicked the man behind him into a wall and out cold. That left three people who were still up. One of them reached for a device that did not look like a weapon, it was probably a communicator.

Jace through the laser rifle he had pulled from his human shield at him. He then ducked down below laser weapons fire. Grabbing one of their hands and flipping him over his shoulder. He was unconscious before he hit the floor, but his body hit his last friend on the way down. Jace’s eye twitched as he felt a slight tingle in his leg right before he grabbed the guy by his neck and tossed him to the side before jumping at the last one and slimming his body into him before stopping.

The last guy stumbled back before falling to the ground unconscious. Jace sighed right before he looked down at his leg. His leg where there was a slight burn that went through his pant leg. "That is annoying." He grunted out before pressing his hand against the wall of the corridor.

A pulse of electricity ran throughout the entire ship. He could now tell where everyone was and where everything was. He put so pep in his step as he jogged down a few halls and dodged around a few patrols. Eventually arriving at one of the few armories that were aboard the ship. As soon as he arrived he grabbed so plastic explosives and triggering devices. Then he set them up and hid them behind a rack of weapons before calmly walking out and moving toward the brig.

—------------------------

"How long did you lose him for?" The archivist asked the soldier as she stood behind him. She was currently on the command bridge. She ca here after the hangar to see if anything else would go wrong. Turns out that sothing did go wrong.

Gladiator managed to escape. But watching the escape there was nothing lucky about it. He wanted onto this ship and once he was aboard she took the first chance to escape. After subduing all eight guards he left the scene and none of the caras onboard managed to see him.

"A one hour interval before he reappeared in the brig. It appears that during that ti caras in critical parts of the ship went down." The soldier explained.

"Were we hacked?" The archivist flinched.

"No, that is the weird part. So of those caras are specifically kept off the digital network. Hell the only thing connecting them is that they have so sort of powersource." The soldier explained to her with a shrug. "I can’t even check what they didn’t see, I only see that they went offline along with the other ones."

The Archivist frowned. Was he done? Did he get what he wanted? No. He showed back up at the brig. He did not finish whatever he was doing. Or maybe he was dragging it out intentionally. "Inform the Brig Warden that I will be down to talk to both of his new inhabitants soon."

"Sherlock?"

"No, I have no need to talk to Sherlock."
