Chapter 555: Descending

Victor looked at his armor in the mirror and frowned. It was fully functioning and mostly repaired. But so of the design had been changed to allow ease of movent. While the color was no longer completely black and red. Instead so of the orange robe color had been mixed in in places.

Even his axes felt a bit better in his hands with the wrappings that covered them instead of the leather that was there before.

As soon as he opened the door he flinched in surprise at the sight of Eduta who was waiting for him. He looked similar to before but his robe was more form fitting with pieces of leather in spots on his body. While his hands- or claws were covered in a white bandage. He looked like a monk but also like so bare knuckled brawler.

[An apt but interesting description. The enemies are almost upon us. I can sense the void that is in place of their presence approaching. Perhaps we should make ourselves on the top side. Fortunately it is night ti on this side of the planet.] Eduta declared before leading the way up the stairs where another figure was waiting.

It looked at them before grunting and walking away. Victor frowned but followed Eduta to the massive front gate that slowly opened as they approached it. It was not the exit he was expecting them to take out of the monastery. There were plenty of exits. It seed inefficient since it seed just the two of them were stepping out.

But as the door opened they could see just on the other side as more of the creatures that he fought before were slowly moving around while their vessel or ship behind them was landed. They seed cautious and confused.

But as they stepped past the threshold of the doorway they turned to them. Almost like they were noticing them for the first ti.

[It is here. But how is it here? There was nothing before.] One of them growled out in annoyance.

Victor frowned and glanced behind him. His eyes widened in surprise as the monastery was gone. Disappeared and replaced with a giant snowstorm that seed to encompass them and the alien ship. It would seem the monastery was more than just a simple temple.

[Victor!] Victor heard the scream in his mind turned back around just in ti for one of the orange spikes to slam into his side. Or they would have but he disappeared and reappeared a few feet away next to one of the creatures. Already pulling out his axe and slamming it into the creature’s neck.

The first one screeched before its head was suddenly flipping through the air. Eduta was upon another of the creatures and was tearing it limb from limb in a literal sense. The other creatures turned their weapon towards them but Victor threw both of his axes. One barely missed and slamd into the side of the ship. The other buried itself in one of the creature’s chests.

A creature close to him that he intentionally ignored tried to stab him with a sword. He slipped back before reaching forward and tearing its mask off. Its face made an earshattering scream as it appeared to decay and fell into a pile of bones and black goo.

Eduta’s tail sliced through the back of one of them and out the front as it went to retreat. The other two that were left were almost in the ship. Victor dashed forward and pulled one of them back and into Eduta’s waiting fist that slamd into its side and sent it flying off the side of the mountain.

After Victor entered the ship he pulled a laser knife and threw it towards sothing glowing that looked important. After he did, the creature he ran in behind scread sothing and the entrance started to close. Victor dove back out as the entrance closed and looked at the ship as it took off through the snowstorm.

Victor stood up and looked to the side and accepted his hand axe from Eduta who had retrieved it from the side of the ship. Victor put it in its place on his gear as he walked over and retrieved his other axe from a body. With this fight he was now down to his handaxes and a few more laser knives.

"Well then, where to now?" Victor asked as he glanced at the direction he ca from and the bodies that seed to be disappearing. Like they were snow being lifted off the ground and turned into snow.

[Down the mountain. To the lower monastery. Before the sunrises... hopefully.] Eduta explained as he pointed a bloodied hand at a path that went down the mountain but could not be easily followed.

In orbit above Prima Terra, one of the alien spacecraft was flying towards a larger one. But before it could reach the larger one it suddenly exploded. Sending the larger one tumbling away as the shockwave hit it.

The leader of this hunting pack who was inside growled in annoyance before slamming his fist on the controls. The space around them morphed as the ship burrowed through space and out of the galaxy.

"We failed..." He growled out as an image appeared.

"What happened?" A voice asked coming from the morphed image. A clear sign that the connection was not secure.

"So many things. These ones, from the hidden galaxy. They can fight and keep up with our people. We have seen at least two of them move through our ti stop grenades. Sothing we have seen happen with only the best of a people’s warriors." The leader explained.

"Hmm... then we have to change our approach. We have to take it slow. How annoying. Do not engage any further. Anything they have gained or will gain will be a detrint to us later. But weaken the Milky Way’s borders. Hopefully they will get caught up in the aftermath." The figure explained. "Tell

about them."

"Both of them were unknown races. The others we did not get close enough to get a biological scan before our ship was destroyed. The last two were a variant of humans, we did not get an indepth scan of them. Too many other humans from this galaxy were in the area." The leader explained before suddenly choking and grabbing at his throat.

"Your failure will be accounted for." The leader then dropped to the ground as the other one’s image faded.

Jace sighed as he looked down into the water. "Aw man..." He sighed.

"What is wrong? Scared of so water?" The NeoYakuza AI asked through Jace’s helt.

"Nope. I am just not looking forward to swimming several miles to get to the deep bunker that your main systems are stored at." Jace explained and then had an idea. "Although I do not have to do that. Give

a mont." He materialized the box from before and put the device he stole inside. Then dematerialized everything except his armor and his hoverbike.

Then he materialized and jumped into his tank as he dematerialized his hoverbike. His spider tank was heavy enough to sink to the bottom of the ocean. The materials it was made out of also allowed it to be waterproof and durable enough to survive the pressure from that. The original design was actually sothing his unit had stolen and he had adapted to suit his needs. He had gotten a bit annoyed at having to tear through swaths of weaker enemies constantly. This tank was his solution.

"Oh? That looked interesting. What was that?" The AI asked in excitent. "I only saw it for a mont before you began sinking.

"A tank. If I made it right it should be rated for high gravity, high pressure, and zero pressure environnts." Jace began explaining. "It has six legs, for mobility with built in anti-gravity hover plates throughout it. External weapons include a hardlight cannon. One plasma cannon. Two rotary laser machine guns. Then finally a pair of grappling hooks for additional mobility."

"Yeah, that would tear most armies apart. But there are high speed tanks and chs as well. How would you deal with those?" The AI asked.

Jace smirked as he switched so switches in his tank. Watching the technical information as he sunk deeper and deeper into the ocean. "I am not giving you everything. Now then, is there anything I should know before I get down to your bunker?"

"Avoid the Kraken and other massive underwater creatures that are down here." The AI answered instantly.

"Are you joking?" Jace asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Nope I am not joking. Also, I do not have any food so..."

"That is fine." Jace sighed, already thinking of the rations he would have to break into. "I have so food with . Besides, I should only be here for a day or two at most."
