Chapter 339: Dividing a Nation

The Dwarf looked over the Titan-Class ch as it laid in parts. A complete waste of decent materials. Not the destruction of the ch but the ch itself. The destruction of the ch was a beautiful display of explosives and soone who really knew how to surgically pull sothing apart.

He picked up a banging noise coming from the back of the ch where the kid, Commander Tyler, had climbed inside of the ch. The Dwarf walked over to the ch with his wrench in hand. He climbed up the hip of the ch with a few grunts. The other people in the hanger were either still panicking or were injured.

He had taken a look before focusing on the fallen ch. No one had been seriously injured. They had been fortunate the kid was taking the ch out so everyone had cleared out of its way. But that was where their luck had ended.

The ch had detached from the things holding it and started crouching, walking forward to get out of the hangar when the joins exploded. Causing the entire ch to fall into pieces. The Dwarf had a feeling that sothing might happen. But he was thinking at most the saboteur would have rigged the legs. Instead he was through and planted the explosives inside of the joints.

There was no way those could be fixed or repaired in any manner of ti. Especially with the chaos after they watched General Kyln get killed live on television. Everyone was contacting higher ranking military officials trying to get orders. So Commander Tyler decided to deploy himself and the soldiers into the city, especially after seeing the attackers had barricaded themselves in the founding building.

The remaining soldiers were hesitant to attack because a number of high ranking military and governnt officials should still be inside. Then there were the riots erupting not just in the city, nor just around the world, but through their entire nation.

With the chain of command interrupted the groups waiting for the opportunity struck as the body flailed, attempting to staunch the bleeding of their country. But the republic’s support of slavery was coming back to bite them. While the Woltar and Union were both exploiting the opportunity that was presented to them. He had stayed a second longer than the kid did to watch more news and saw that the footage had been broadcast nationwide. The saboteur had shown that the Republic was vulnerable.

Now the Dwarf was using his trusty wrench to remove so bolts. It looked like the ergency hatch on the ch had been damaged. It appeared that soone had altered his design and that led to the ergency hatch release not working. The sa thing had been done throughout the entire creation process. So he was not surprised. The Republic were a bunch of cheap bastards, ’course there now a bunch of dead bastards.

Chink!

There was a tal clicking followed by the hatching popping open. Then a mont later Commander Tyler pushed it open and climbed out. There was a superficial wound on his head that was bleeding but aside from that he was also favoring one arm while the other one was limp. He was probably injured more from the ch falling apart than the explosion itself.

"You good kid?" The Dwarf asked as he grabbed Commander Tyler’s good arm and pulled him out of the cockpit of the ch. "The tin can went and took a boom and then a tumble."

"Yeah, just hit my head. What happened to the ch though? Did soone sabotage it?" Commander Tyler asked, "because I know you did not do that."

"No doubt," The Dwarf nodded as he walked to the edge of the hip of the ch and jumped off. Landing on the ground with a grunt. "Expertly done too, you may think worse of

but it was a might more beautiful than the ch itself."

"Haa... okay, do you think you can... no never mind. Now that I got a better look at the ch, there is no way you can fix this in any type of ti fra." Commander Tyler kicked the ch and then flinched. "Then there are my own injuries. It looks like I got taken out of the fight before it even started."

"Not true. You got removed before the rebellions began is more like it. That attack acted as the catalyst for the slave rebellions and for the Union to rise up. Saw it on the news. There are riots on almost every republic planet." The Dwarf explained as he helped Commander Tyler move to where the others had gathered the injured.

"What the hell happened here!?" The hybrid human ca running in looking like a ss. She had not been part of the group that was heading to the border so she was probably resting. But even if she was not watching the news the various explosions would have brought her running if this ended up being an ergency.

"Sabotage." Commander Tyler answered.

"It was not the only place." A soldier in uniform with the markings of a Colonel walked in. "The Columbo blew up and there are reports that General Kyln’s ch fell apart as well. But I am more worried about the survivors of the Columbo. A secondary explosion coated everything in space ship fuel. We need to get out there and stop the flas before it spreads to the city."

"Oh? What about the riots?" The Dwarf asked, surprised by the base commander’s disregard for the battles they could be fighting.

"Honestly... if we end up with a rebellion on our hands it is the fault of the governnt. So myself and other military n will just stand back to see what governnt erges .Which brings us to the main thing figuring out how to keep the civilians alive long enough for the next governnt to take control. Anyways, get your radio working. I will send dics when I can and anyone who can still move will be put to work." The colonel told them before walking off.

"Is he saying we are just leaving the people who attacked the parade alone?" Commander Tyler asked with a grunt as the woman began looking over his injured arm.

"Sounds like it. Mighty sounds like a bottle of politics and drumry." The Dwarf answered before looking over the ch. Building the damn thing had been a nace and a slight against his own desires but it had given him an idea.
