Jace and the others ducked as a few lasers shot through the window. Scorching the roof of the elevator. They were not even halfway down and they were being shot at by soone on the ground.
"Was this happening earlier?" Jace pulled the plasma shard sniper rifle off his back and aid in the direction the shots were coming from. With his enhanced sight and the modification to his heads up display he was able to see an Accer on the roof of a building aiming up at him. There was no friendly indicator over them.
"No, we were out of range before. The holes in the windows were from the fight when we took the elevator." One of them explained from behind him.
"Which ans that the forces in the city are either getting pushed back to the elevator or an enemy slipped through our lines." Jace figured as he took a mont and then fired. Like before there was barely any push back from the Victorium weapon. He watched a purple line that was short and shaped like a shard of a gem race through the air. He then could see it pierce the Accer's head.
"Elevator personnel please be aware that the Elder forces are making a push toward the elevator. They are being led by Elder Joza." The others in the elevator groaned as they heard that. "In addition several more enemy spacecraft are entering the city, they are coming from other regions of the planet."
"Elder Joza? Is he soone important?" Jace asked as he kept looking out over the city. Watching for more snipers that would take a shot at them.
"Elder Joza was once a well respected general. He had pushed back the Sanzore from the border and expanded our border into their territory. He has managed many incredible feats and is recognized as a strategic genius." One of them explained. "Honestly, having him as an enemy is going to be annoying. Because he will also be traveling with his Elite guard."
Jace grinned underneath his helt as he found another enemy sniper setting up. "I suppose that just ans-" Jace stopped mid sentence as a shadow fell over them. He looked up to see a ship floating in front of the elevator window.
He dropped down as the barrels of the ship lit up. The others reacted similarly, ducking behind any kind of cover that was around. Jace was firing from behind a barrier made of seats from the ship so he was already covered. But the others had to move to better positions and managed to just in ti.
CHOOOOMM!
A line of plasma bolts fired across the elevator hitting the walls and barriers. It continued for a mont longer and Jace realized that the ship was not going to go away. He put the sniper rifle on his back and then moved into the crouching position. Then once the plasma fire passed over him again he jumped out.
Using the cover he was using before as a jump point. He leaped through the hole that used to be a window. He landed on the front of the attack craft. He pulled himself up on top of the attack craft. But before he initiated his plan to take down this attack craft, sothing caught his eye.
He looked up to see another ship floating over the top of the elevator. It was offloading a number of Victorium Elder Council soldiers onto the roof of the elevator. Seems that this Elder Joza was already trying to get a surprise attack going.
Jace placed his gloved hand on the roof of the attack craft. He felt the schematic of the attack craft get stored in his armor. Then he felt the electricity that was coursing through the ship, powering the weapons, flight capabilities, and various other things. Then he took it all, the electricity channeled into his body.
The effect on the attack craft was almost imdiately as it dropped out of the air. Jace cursed and then jumped toward the wall of the plateau's cliff face that the elevator would be passing near. He materialized his gladius and stabbed it into the wall. He looked up to see the elevator descending.
It would be a full minute before it arrived at the level he had fallen to. He cursed himself for being too slow. He was a second to late and now it would cost him more ti. "There are enemies on the roof of the elevator!" Jace spoke through the communication channel.
A mont later he could hear laser fire and could see various colored lasers, plasma, and energy bolts flying out of the windows. The transport above them was going to be a real problem.
Jace pulled the railgun off his back and loaded a bullet into the firing chamber. He then took aim. For only a mont he aid at the body of the ship. But then he changed to the edge of the ship where a main thruster was located.

It was not that loud when it fired this ti. It barely made a trail when it did as well. The trail that it did make was only faintly blue and disappeared after less than a second.
BOOM!
The side of the enemy transport ship exploded. It swayed for a mont over the elevator before it veered into the side of the plateau causing so rock to fall off the side of the cliff face. The transport then veered away and began flying in a downward arc towards the ground. He placed the railgun on his back as he watched transport crash into a building.
He turned his attention back to the elevator just in ti to see an enemy and the Welch he was talking with earlier fall out through the window. Jace took a mont and then climbed up so he was standing on the gladius. He then jumped from it towards the elevator window.
