Chapter 1141: Chapter 1141 I Surrender

Lan Xuanyu nodded to Bai Xiuxiu, who smiled and bowed in return before she voluntarily walked towards the Third bat Zone.

Xu Yanmo floated into the area, and the two of them entered the Third bat Zone one after the other.

The God-level Dragon Clan elder who had saved Lin Zexuan earlier had not left the battlefield of the Third bat Zone. He looked at the two and said in a deep voice, “Be careful to control your attacks. You must not kill your opponent. Understand?”

Given Lan Xuanyu’s recent performance, he felt pelled to remind them. Any member of the Dragon Clan, especially the young ones who could enter the cyclic petition phase, was the future of the Dragon Clan. The loss of even one was a significant loss.

“Yes,” Xu Yanmo respectfully bowed to the elder. Bai Xiuxiu also nodded her head.

“Miss Xiuxiu, hello, I’m Xu Yanmo, from Ao Tian City,” Xu Yanmo said politely to Bai Xiuxiu.

...

There was no trace of the arrogance typical of superior Dragon Clan members in him; instead, he seemed like a scholarly gentleman. His gaze at Bai Xiuxiu held no desire, only gentleness and admiration, which was a rather forting kind of attention.

“Hello. I am Huang Xiuxiu, from Fenglong City,” Bai Xiuxiu nodded in greeting.

Xu Yanmo’s eyes narrowed slightly. “My apologies.” A deep dragon roar emanated from within him, and Xu Yanmo’s eyes immediately became brighter.

At that moment, however, Bai Xiuxiu raised her right hand and said, “I surrender.”

The God-level Dragon Clan elder had just stepped out of the Third bat Zone when these three words reached him from behind, almost causing him to stumble. What was happening? She had surrendered without even fighting?

Xu Yanmo was also slightly stunned, looking at Bai Xiuxiu with some confusion. It was known that surrendering in the first round of the cyclic petition was not a good thing, especially as it could easily leave a bad impression on the Dragon Clan’s higher-ups.

In the investigation into Bai Xiuxiu, although her evaluation wasn’t as high as Lan’s, it was still quite good. She had a dual attribute of darkness and ice. Because she had been a part of the Wild Dragon Clan until recently, her time spent in orthodox cultivation had been short. However, she was considered very promising. Even if she couldn’t stand out from the cyclic petition, she was still seen as an exceptional candidate, especially since she was a female and was being watched by many families. Yet, unexpectedly, she had chosen to surrender right from the start.

Xu Yanmo’s brows furrowed slightly, but he did not say anything. He slowly withdrew his emitting aura, nodded to Bai Xiuxiu, and turned to walk towards the outside of the arena.

“Xu Yanmo wins,” the Dragon Clan elder announced. Although he did not quite like the method of surrender, there was no rule against surrendering in the cyclic petition. After all, the oute was to be decided by the final points.

Lan Xuanyu swiftly won, while Bai Xiuxiu surrendered. Both matches in the Third bat Zone had thus ended, while the first match in the other zones had not yet concluded.

Lan Xuanyu went to meet Bai Xiuxiu as she walked out of the bat zone. Together, they bowed respectfully towards the many Dragon Clan powerhouses, especially towards the Moke Dragon Knight, Luo Lan, and then turned to walk towards the edge of the Ascending Dragon Platform.

Of course, they did not leave. Leaving now would be foolish. The Ascending Dragon Platform was enveloped in Dragon Qi, and not taking the opportunity to absorb and cultivate was like leaving a treasure mountain empty-handed!

Both sat down cross-legged, silently absorbing the Dragon Qi in the air for storage. Lan Xuanyu simultaneously absorbed the Dragon Qi while silently feeling how the liquid Dragon Qi, pressed by the Moke Dragon Knight, was formed within his body.

Undoubtedly, having been pressed into a liquid form, he could store almost a hundred times more Dragon Qi. This stored energy would assist him in his cultivation for a long time. Naturally, it would also make it much easier to help his panions.

However, pressing Dragon Qi into Dragon Power Liquid clearly wasn’t so simple. The Moke Dragon Knight, Luo Lan, helped him for a couple of reasons, one being to offer him more benefits and also to guide him, seeing if he possessed enough prehension to grasp the concept.

Lan Xuanyu absorbed the Dragon Qi while quietly sensing the Dragon Power Liquid stored in his Dantian with his Spiritual Power.

The Dragon Power Liquid was very stable; it seemed that once the Dragon Qi transformed into liquid, it automatically entered a stable state. However, whenever he stimulated it with his bloodline power, the Dragon Power Liquid would transform back into the needed Dragon Qi and seep into the Bloodline Whirlpool.

The Bloodline Whirlpool, in a sense, wasn’t liquid but was something between gas and liquid. Only the core at the center, the Dragon Core, was solid.

Over this period, Lan Xuanyu’s Dragon Core had grown rapidly in size, and the radiance it emitted became increasingly strong. Supported by the Dragon Qi, his cultivation speed accelerated all-round, especially with the method of the Dragon Power Refining, which seemed tailor-made just for him.

Lan Xuanyu started burning his innate bloodline power to refine his body. Despite being surrounded by many from the Dragon Clan, he didn’t mind. He had the Moke Dragon Knight there, and no one would dare harm him. Moreover, he was confident that not even a Super God-level powerhouse could detect the secrets within his bloodline aura.

His Golden Dragon King’s bloodline was of high-enough quality that when he ignited his own bloodline aura, Dragon Qi enveloped his body. The absorbed Dragon Qi was expelled through his skin continuously. Under such intense Dragon Power Fluctuations, it was impossible to distinctly perceive the internal conditions. At most, one could feel that his bloodline was of a high caliber.

As he consumed and absorbed simultaneously, he also tried pressing the Dragon Qi.

Gradually, Lan Xuanyu began to find some clues.

He discovered that when his Bloodline Whirlpool absorbed Dragon Qi to its limit and could no longer hold any more, the whirlpool’s rotation would slow down. Under his control, he forced it to speed up. The Bloodline Whirlpool couldn’t absorb any more Dragon Qi, but the internal Dragon Qi continued to press during the spinning.

Previously, Lan Xuanyu would have stopped absorbing at this point to avoid issues with his Bloodline Whirlpool. However, with continuous use of Dragon Power Refining, his cultivation had greatly improved, and his body’s endurance far exceeded before. Increased self-endurance boosted his confidence in controlling his abilities.

Moreover, his Spiritual Power had begun evolving towards the divine consciousness direction, and the Dragon Crystal had enabled him to sense the mysteries of the divine consciousness level more palpably. Therefore, he felt even more confident about his control abilities.

Previously, when the Moke Dragon Knight helped him convert the Dragon Power Convergence into liquid inside his body, it seemed to be transformed through rotation. So, could he achieve the same by rotating his own Bloodline Whirlpool?

Lan Xuanyu began attempting to increase the rotational speed of his Bloodline Whirlpool while it was already at full capacity.

Gradually, an astonishing scene unfolded.

The increasingly pressed Dragon Qi fluctuated unstably but never managed to break out of the Bloodline Whirlpool. The Bloodline Power within the rotating whirlpool was very dense, causing the Dragon Qi to keep agitating and oscillating. It was pressed continuously within the constriction but had nowhere to burst forth.

Finally, under Lan Xuanyu’s intentional guidance, the increasingly concentrated Dragon Qi gradually settled. A crystal-clear droplet of Dragon Power Liquid overflowed from the bottom of the funnel-shaped whirlpool and fell.

Overjoyed, Lan Xuanyu immediately stimulated his Soul Power to guide this droplet of liquid Dragon Power into his Dantian, merging with the previously stored Dragon Power Liquid.

Like the previous droplets, this newly gathered Dragon Power Liquid was very stable and showed no intention of transforming back into Dragon Qi.

He had succeeded! Lan Xuanyu was overjoyed. This success meant that he could, in this place rich in Dragon Qi, collect as much Dragon Qi as possible, convert it into Dragon Power Liquid for storage. Cultivating here was no longer important; storing Dragon Power Liquid was most crucial. Bringing it back would not only help himself but all his panions! Such pure Dragon Power Liquid was the purest form of energy, enormously beneficial to himself, his panions, and the Treasure Hunting Beast.
