Zhang Yuan tightened his arms around Zhang Fumin as her tears soaked into his shoulder.
The soft tremor of her sobs reverberated through his chest, filling him with both guilt and an overwhelming tenderness.
He stroked her back gently, his voice soft, "Fumin… I truly am sorry. I never wanted to hurt you."
Her cries intensified, and she raised her head to glare at him, her eyes puffy and red yet still holding that deep blue allure that he found so captivating.
She slapped his chest, not with force but with the frustration of years of unspoken emotions. "Sorry? SORRY?!" she spat, her voice shaking.
"You think one ’sorry’ can erase all the pain I’ve endured? Watching you with your other won, wondering if you’d ever look at the sa way? Do you even understand what I’ve gone through, Yuan’er?!"
He flinched at her words but kept holding her close, unwilling to let her go. "I am sorry I didn’t notice your feelings."
Her breath hitched as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a tender kiss.
The world seed to be still in that mont, her trembling hands gripping his shoulders tightly as if she were afraid he might disappear.
The kiss deepened, and when they finally parted, her gaze searched his face for any sign of hesitation.
But there was none.
"Marry , Fumin,"
"No more excuses, no more running. Be my wife. I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for the pain I caused you, I swear it."
She stared at him, her lips trembling. "Do you an it? Truly?"
"With all my heart," he vowed.
A soft laugh escaped her lips, though tears still stread down her face. "You’re such a stupid blockhead, Yuan’er. But… I guess I love you anyway."
She smiled, a mixture of joy and exasperation, before throwing her arms around his neck. "Fine, I’ll marry you. But if you ever make feel like that again, I’ll make you regret it for eternity."
"I wouldn’t dare," he promised, pulling her into a tight embrace.
For a long mont, they simply held each other, their breaths mingling as the tension of years lted away.
Zhang Yuan finally felt a weight lift off his chest, and Zhang Fumin’s sobs were replaced by soft laughter as she buried her face in his neck.
"You’re going to regret this, you know," she teased, her voice muffled.
"I’m going to be the most annoying wife you’ve ever had."
"Good," he replied with a smile.
"I wouldn’t have it any other way."
"Hahaha..."
Zhang Yuan buried his face in the crook of her neck, hugging her tightly "Fumin..."
Coiling her arms around him, she whispered, her heart filled with love "Spend an eternity with .. Yuan’er." as she placed a kiss on his cheek.
With a smile, Zhang Yuan closed his eyes "As you wish... dear."
In that mont, the world around them seed to fade, leaving only the comfort of each other’s presence.
Her arms wrapped tightly around him, her heartbeat syncing with his.
Seconds passed, their breaths steady and calm, rging with the stillness.
The seconds stretched, becoming minutes.
The minutes turned to hours, as the sun rose and set, painting the skies with hues of dawn and dusk.
Hours lted into days, the seasons shifting around them.
Snow blanketed the world in winter, flowers blossod in spring, sumr’s warmth bathed them in golden light, and autumn’s cool breeze carried the scent of fallen leaves.
Yet, within their embrace, the passage of ti was but a distant echo.
Days grew into months, and the world outside changed.
Mountains eroded, rivers carved new paths, and stars moved gradually across the skies.
Months turned to years, and the years beca decades.
Civilizations rose and fell, their triumphs and tragedies fleeting against the backdrop of eternity.
Empires crumbled, and new ones took their place.
Yet, Zhang Yuan and Zhang Fumin held each other, unyielding, their love transcending the epherality of mortal concerns.
Decades stretched into centuries.
The constellations shifted, new stars were born, and ancient ones faded.
The world transford around them, but their embrace remained a constant... unwavering, unchanging, eternal.
Centuries beca millennia, and millennia turned to eons.
The passage of ti was a river, vast and ceaseless, but they stood against its current.
Together, they endured beyond mory, beyond history, beyond existence itself.
And so they remained, locked in an embrace that defied the universe.
In each other’s arms, they had found eternity.
Nothing else mattered.
Nothing else would ever matter.
Now, all that remains is... nothing.
Zhang Yuan and Zhang Fumin are still hugging each other, their bodies floating in the void, and nothing remains.
Zhang Fumin’s eyelashes fluttered open revealing her blue eyes and she looked at Zhang Yuan who is holding her tightly "Yuan’er..."
Zhang Yuan kissed her lips and smiled gently.
Seeing his smile, she raised her hand, her fingers brushing against his cheek, her touch as light as a feather. "I am so happy now," she whispered, her voice carrying both joy and a hint of nostalgia.

"I spent so much ti with you... more than I ever dread of."
As she spoke, she looked around in confusion, as all she could see is dark and there is nothing there.
"Where are we now, Tian’er?"
With a soft chuckle, Zhang Yuan replied "This is the end of everything... ti, space, existence... everything is gone to a point where all that remains is nothing."
Zhang Fumin was amused and looked at him "Then, your wives?"
Smiling, Zhang Yuan replied "They are sleeping... along with the passage of ti."
"All that is remaining is us..."
Zhang Fumin’s gaze softened and she leaned onto his chest "You really did spend an eternity ith ."
"Yeah," he said, stroking her hair with a tenderness that spoke of endless devotion. "And I enjoyed every mont of it."
A soft giggle escaped her lips as she playfully swatted his chest. "Bastard," she teased, her voice filled with warmth.
She let out a deep sigh, her body relaxing in his embrace. "Haa... I am content now. I spent an eternity with you, and that’s all I could ever ask for."
She raised her gaze looking into his eyes "But, let’s go back..."
"Go back?"
She nodded, her hands cupping his face. "Let’s live again, Yuan’er. With everyone. This ti, I want to experience everything once more. And this ti..."
Her cheeks flushed slightly, her eyes shimring like starlight. "I want to have your child."
Hearing this, Zhang Yuan laughed and leaned down kissing her lips "Fumin..."
Zhang Fumin closed her eyes, reciprocating the kiss "Yuan’er..."
*woosh*
...
*swoosh* The young man surged forward, his spear disappearing like a blur as he thrust it toward Ming Yuelin’s chest.
She tilted her body slightly, the spear grazing past her ribs, missing its mark by inches.
Before he could retract it, Ming Yuelin’s foot shot out in a snapping kick aid at his wrist.
Clang!
The spear shuddered in his grip, but he held firm, twisting it in a wide arc to force her back.
Ming Yuelin leaped away, her feet barely disturbing the dirt floor of the arena.
"You’ll have to do better than that," she said, her voice calm, almost teasing.
Growling, the young man lunged again, spinning the spear in a whirlwind of strikes aid at her head, torso, and legs.
The weapon moved with incredible speed, each strike generating gusts of wind that kicked up dust and debris.
Ming Yuelin’s body beca a blur, dodging through the strikes with precision.
She ducked under a swipe aid at her head, sidestepped a thrust aid at her ribs, and jumped over a sweep aid to take her legs out from under her.
As she landed, she closed the gap between them, her fists striking out like lightning.
Bam!
Her knuckles connected with his shoulder, sending a shockwave through his body.
He staggered but quickly retaliated, using the spear to jab at her abdon.
Ming Yuelin twisted her hips, narrowly avoiding the strike, and countered with a spinning kick aid at his side.
Thwack!
The kick connected, forcing the young man to stumble sideways.
He regained his footing quickly, planting the spear into the ground to vault into the air.
Descending with a powerful downward strike, he aid to crush her under the force of his attack.
Ming Yuelin sidestepped, the spear slamming into the ground with a deafening thud, cracks spidering out across the earth.
Before he could recover, she launched a flurry of punches at his exposed torso.
"GAH!" The young man gasped, but he managed to push her back by spinning his spear in a wide arc, creating a protective barrier around him.
She closed the distance in an instant, her fist shooting toward his chest.
The young man raised the spear horizontally to block, but Ming Yuelin’s other hand shot out, grabbing the spear’s shaft.
Using it as leverage, she swung herself around, delivering a powerful kick to his jaw.
Crack!
The young man rolled and hit the ground hard, the spear slipping from his grasp.
Ming Yuelin landed gracefully, her eyes locked onto him as he struggled to stand.
Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, as he looked at Ming Yuelin..
"I admit defeat..."
