[Clang!]
The bronze shield phantom on the field gradually disappeared, replaced by a phoenix-like fla phantom.
As the fla of the Fire Phoenix hovered around the card table for a few spins, it finally settled at the end of Director Phoenix’s card table.
Flas on its body started to change shape, eventually turning into a burning knife-like shape.
[Phoenix Knife]
Scene, B
[Phoenix Fire Blessing]: Own breakthrough cards’ attack carries [Ignition] for 2 rounds
[Phoenix Blade Blessing]: Own breakthrough cards deal an extra 10 points of damage when attacking [Defense] targets
[Phoenix Power Blessing]: Attack 1 additional target with own breakthrough cards in the sa round, next turn’s attack power 10
"..."
Ree Shil frowned secretly upon seeing this card.
There are currently two breakthrough cards on the opponent’s side.
The [Ignition] effect of the [Phoenix Fire Blessing] will effectively counteract healing from his own [Floral Jade Deer] and [Raven Man].
And the [Phoenix Blade Blessing] will make his own defensive cards more difficult to survive against these two card faces.
Both the 1-3 of the Spray Sli and the 1-2 of the Penetrating Sli have the ability to trigger the [Phoenix Power Blessing].
"Since you’ve played a healing card, I’d be at a disadvantage if I didn’t."
At this point, Director Phoenix gave a faint smile and unveiled his chosen covered card.
[Boing boing boing~]
It was still a green jelly sli, but its card face was different from the previous defensive or attacking ones; it was a healing card.
[Light Sli]
Berserk, 30 points, B
Attack 30, 100/100
[Elastic Body - Passive]: When Light Sli is attacked, damage is reduced by 5
[Self-healing - Passive]: Light Sli receives 20 points of [Healing] every round
[Brilliant Light - Costs 30 Health Points]: Light Sli emits a brilliant light, giving one target 20 points of [First Aid] or 30 points of [Healing]
After examining this card, Ree Shil had to admit it was a good card.
A versatile Berserk healing card that can provide both [First Aid] and [Healing].
Moreover, it has a passive ability that all berserk cards envy: automatic healing.
With this healing skill passive, it only consus 10 health points each ti it releases a recovery effect.
Even if released continuously, it could last 8 turns.
In the 8th turn, after releasing the skill, Light Sli would be finished and not be able to benefit from the [Healing] effect itself.
Outside the blue light barrier, Secretary Brown and Flat Orange frowned.
"This is utterly heartless; Poor Stanley."
"Yeah, Director Phoenix is clearly leading in health points and a total blood loss of only 30 points, but he’s still playing healing cards. He’s not giving any chances at all."
Their thoughts also represented the thoughts of the other audience mbers present.
Director Phoenix was playing for real, not giving any leeway to the younger generation.
At this ti, Ree Shil unveiled his card.
It was too early to give up now.
[Keep the Flag Flying!]
A projection of a martial-looking flag master holding a large flag walked out from the light column.
[Flag Master]
Balanced, 30 points, B
Attack 35, 100/100
[Martial Arts Atmosphere - Passive]: When the Flag Master is present, increase the attack power of own Kung Fu cards by 5
[Flag Technique Blessing - Passive]: When the Flag Master is revealed, designate 1 own Kung Fu card to receive -10 damage from attacks
[Grand Flag Waving - Passive]: When the Flag Master is revealed, designate 1 own Kung Fu card to imdiately gain 2 energy points
Upon witnessing the Flag Master walking out and waving his flag twice, blue and yellow lights fell on the Martial Monkey and Raven Man, respectively.
The yellow light reduced the incoming damage on the [Martial Monkey] by 10 points.
The blue light provided the [Raven Man] with 2 energy points, making it 5/6.
This card was familiar to everyone present.
Unless they had the mory of a goldfish, they would rember this item that Ree Shil had just drawn in the last ga.
Seeing this card appear again, sighs and pity sounds were emanating from the audience.
"It seems Coach Shil has no new tricks."
"After all, his card player level isn’t high enough yet, so it’s understandable."
"Maybe his current card setup is only enough for 6 1, playing 9 1 is a bit too difficult."
"He’s probably planning to unveil the [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit] in the last row, but it seems like it won’t change the outco no matter when it’s revealed."
In the midst of such remarks, the action phase for both sides began.
In a position of advantage, Director Phoenix’s strategy was simple.
That was not to be anxious, but to be stable.
Three outer cards were all played on the [Defense].
Then, the [Healing] of the [Light Sli] was given to the [Boss Sli].
It may have the sa 85 health points as the [Bounce Sli], but it was clear that the importance of the [Boss Sli] was higher.
Then, the remaining three cards were all dealt damage to the [Martial Monkey], also for the sake of stability.
Ree Shil’s three outer cards were now the [Ugly Man], the [Flag Master], and the [Martial Monkey].
(I can’t be sure if the [Ugly Man] and the [Flag Master] will play [Defense], so I’ll wait).
(I’ll deal with these two cards later when more unveiled cards can output higher damage.)
(At least it’s certain that the [Martial Monkey] can’t play [Defense].)
Director Phoenix had a premonition that the [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit] was hidden behind the [Raven Man] in this row.
So, the Spray Sli used its skill to attack Ree Shil’s front row.
It dealt 5 5 points of damage and 10 points of [Poison] to the [Ugly Man], and 5 5 points of damage and 10 points of [Poison] to the [Martial Monkey].
