“Don’t panic, Felix is alone!”

“Just kill him!”

The voices of the Fandell gangsters were filled with shock, anger, and fear. They no longer hesitated and attacked with full force, bullets firing with bangs. Felix could clearly hear the sound of bullets hitting the human shield, knowing the gangsters no longer cared about the hostage.

So she shoved the black-haired shield toward the gangsters, then commanded multiple spirits, hurriedly casting her unpracticed new Miracle-“Endless Venom”!

A gust of pitch-black foul wind swept past, as if countless flies were hidden within. The Fandell gangsters were instantly corroded by the toxic spell, howling in agony, rolling on the ground, and fleeing in panic. Felix was about to chase after them, but suddenly gunshots erupted from behind. She had no choice but to duck into a nearby seat, pick up the handgun that had fallen to the floor, and return fire, shouting, “Do you all have a death wish?”

The gangsters at the rear carriage door also saw the carnage inside and realized the operation had completely failed. They fired suppressive shots at Felix while retreating, quickly escaping to other carriages and disappearing from sight.

Whew.

Felix let out a breath. She looked at the floor strewn with corpses and black blood, feeling not only her stomach ache again but even a bit nauseous. Worst of all, the air was filled with a strange sweet scent-an eerie stench produced by the ‘venom’ further reacting with flesh and blood. If Felix had other Toxic spell spirits, she could use this stench to set up a ‘toxic environnt’, but even doing nothing, just slling this sweet scent would make people irritable, angry, and less intelligent.

“Hmm?”

She suddenly saw that the black-haired man she had used as a shield hadn’t been affected by the venom, apparently having dodged the foul wind just in ti. Now he was lying on top of a Fandell gangster’s corpse, looking quite intact.

Felix felt a bit apologetic, so she squatted down, gripped his hand, and softly said, “I’m very sorry for dragging you into a deadly incident, but you do bear so responsibility for riding the train without a bulletproof vest. In any case, I owe you a favor. When I pray in the future, I’ll introduce you to the great God. As for whether you can join our cult, that depends on your interview in hell.”

After speaking, Felix turned to look outside and saw the train was already close to Galaxia. She had no interest in lingering in a train full of toxic stench, so she pushed open the window, unfurled her virtual wings, and prepared to fly out and escape.

But just then, a hand pressed down on her shoulder from behind.

“Choose another reward. I’m already quite familiar with the Four Pillars, no need for your introduction.”

Felix’s heart trembled violently. She turned and blew, sending a swirl of pitch-black foul wind toward her rear!

Miracle: Endless Venom!

However, the foul wind split along a circular arc in midair. The black-haired man calmly stood behind her, as if an invisible round barrier surrounded him, perfectly blocking the flow of toxic black color.

Sanctuary sorcerer!

Felix felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave. At that mont, a lazy voice ca from the side: “Your best option now is to either pretend to be poisoned to death or actually be poisoned to death.”

A blond handso guy leaned against the seatback, propping his cheek with his right hand, watching with a look of amusent. “If it were , I’d try the latter. After all, your Toxic spell Sect Realm is pretty high.”

Another dark-skinned, curly-haired man had sohow already moved next to the Fandell gangsters’ corpses, examining them and saying, “Hmm, these corpses are badly damaged, not many usable parts… Tsk tsk tsk, the corpse fluids have soaked into the carpet. I’ll need to mix a solution if I want to clean it up properly.”

“Could you spare so of your obsession with corpse scene cleanliness for your daily life? Like, maybe wash your hair a bit more often?” The blond guy complained, then looked at the black-haired man. “Ashe, are you sure you want to choose this person?”

“I’m sure,” Ashe said. “Soone who just killed, has a moral stain, and is a local college student-there’s no better guide than Felix.”

“I don’t know what you’re all after, but the trouble I’m in is far worse than you imagine,” Felix tried to stay calm. “If you just want money, I can give you all my savings. If you have other demands, you can ask. I’m the second-in-line heir of the Vlozrada Family. If I can satisfy you, I will.”

“Um, Mr. Ashe, I’m very sorry for using you as a shield and attacking you earlier. I’m willing to pay any price to make up for my mistake. But if you keep getting close to , you’ll only bring serious trouble upon yourself, and that’s not sothing even a sanctuary sorcerer can withstand.”

“You don’t want to get into big trouble, do you?”

Appealing to emotion, reasoning, enticing with benefit, threatening with force-Felix couldn’t help but silently praise herself for this persuasive speech. The world of sorcerers isn’t just about fighting and killing; there’s also social maneuvering. Even when facing a sanctuary sorcerer, she could use sharp tongue and verbal sparring to force the other side to back off.

Ashe thought for a mont. “You make sense. I really shouldn’t bring trouble on myself.”

Just as Felix thought Ashe was about to compromise, she saw him bend down and light up the holographic screen behind the seatback. Conveniently, the default channel on the holographic screen was the news.

“…The invaders are still at large, operating in the area around Galaxia. Citizens who spot them should imdiately notify the Police Departnt. These three extrely dangerous invaders are all sanctuary sorcerers, with main sects of Swordsmanship, ntal Sect, and Fla Sect. The bounty for each invader is 10,000 gold coins. Because the targets are exceptionally dangerous, there is no need to capture alive-kill on sight…”

“If any citizen harbors invaders, serious cases will be punished with three to ten years in prison. Extrely serious cases will be treated as treason, punishable by death or life imprisonnt… Note: If any citizen covers for invaders, law enforcent may choose to shoot on sight depending on the situation…”

Three wanted notices appeared on the screen. Although the photos were a bit blurry, it was still clear that the three invaders were the black-haired Mask, the blond handso guy, and the dark-skinned curly-haired man.

Ashe looked at Felix. Felix stared at the holographic screen, her heart sinking to ashes.

“In terms of whose trouble is bigger, I’d say we win,” Ashe shrugged. “Or is your trouble worse than being wanted and hunted across all the Stars?”

Felix raised her head, still trying one last ti: “Aren’t you afraid I’ll report you? At worst, I’ve only killed soone.”

“Oh, I’m not worried about that at all.” Ashe patted Felix’s shoulders. “I know you all very well-just as well as I know myself… Let confirm, you’re a second-year student at Swordflower College, nad Felix Vlozrada, right?”

Felix nodded. All that was public information; she had no reason to deny it… Wait!

Weren’t these three only just invading the Stars yesterday? The Fandell gang only ntioned her na earlier-how did they know her school?

“That’s right. I’m very confident you won’t report us,” Ashe said. “After all, I’ve never seen a Four Pillars Cultist willing to cooperate with the police.”

Felix’s pupils contracted sharply, and she instinctively covered her gloved left hand. She suddenly realized she hadn’t ntioned the Four Pillars at all, yet Ashe knew she worshipped the Four Pillars!

“What do you really want?” Her voice trembled.

“I heard,” Ashe said, “Felix, your house is pretty big.”
