Chapter 603: Chapter 601: Life and Death Survival

Moon Pincer Peninsula, a corner of Gunther Great Rift Valley, the forr site of Ancient Tree Ridge Academy, beneath which lies a hidden space and the passage to the first layer of the Underground World—the Labyrinthine Underbelly.

Now, it has beco a refuge for humanity, with a great number of sorcerers, apprentices, and ordinary humans retreating to this place.

Disaster struck abruptly; the Alien Race was unstoppable, even the remote peninsula could not escape unscathed.

The fleeing and hiding have left the people here in a state of constant panic, even the normally proud sorcerers are at a loss, unsure of when the war will end, let alone whether their side can turn defeat into victory.

“The enemy has brazenly attacked all the way here; the situation on Chanay Continent must be dire. The four great cities of the east, west, south, and north might have already fallen.”

“According to the sorcerers who fled from the outside, Blood Plains is almost deserted; it’s likely that not a single city remains intact—how detestable the Alien Race is.”

“If only this place remains undiscovered by the Alien Race. The people from Flash Vortex Academy Alliance and Half Moon Academy Alliance are safer, as they can flee to places like Tidal Island across the sea; surely the Alien Race won’t pursue them to those barren lands.”

“It’s not certain; who knows what those Alien Races think, for they lack any shred of humanity.”

The sorcerers are unsettled, with various pieces of information and rumors incessantly spreading, yet not one piece of good news.

Nowadays, many of the cities and academies on the land have been destroyed, with humans scattered, seeking refuge everywhere—so hiding underground, so concealed within secret realms, others choosing to escape far away.

Most people do not realize that the root cause of this situation is an order from above, instructing those below to temporarily evade the enemy’s sharp edge.

As of this day, Truth City, the holy land of sorcerers, still stands resolutely, attracting most of the Alien Race’s forces, and has been holding firm for one and a half months.

One and a half months of intense battle has turned the original surroundings of Truth City, including the territories of Arcane Wizards, into blank wasteland, with losses too imnse to estimate.

Only the inner city of Truth City stands firm, like an insurmountable mountain range.

As ti passes day by day, the city’s resources are rapidly depleting, weighing heavily on the sorcerers’ hearts, not daring to relax in the slightest.

Outside the city, so of the Alien Ancient Kings, after witnessing the various reserves and tactics of the sorcerers, have unavoidably begun to feel so unrest in their hearts, always suspecting that the Emotion Wizards might still have a trump card up their sleeve.

This night.

At the strong insistence of the Feather Tribe’s Great Elder Savanna, the Thunder Emperor, Pan Sai, once again convened the gathering of Ancient Kings, starting by emphasizing one thing.

“Folks, delays might breed complications. Having attacked for so long, those sorcerers must have run out of resources by now. It’s ti to hit them with sothing even more fierce, lest anyone say a bunch of Ancient Kings are no match for the lords of the sorcerers.”

“I agree. In the next half a month, regardless of the thod, we must break into Truth City, or my Feather Tribe would rather withdraw,” Savanna imdiately expressed her view.

“Elder Savanna, what do you an by that?” Thunder Emperor Pan Sai frowned, unaware of this information, staring at her.

“It ans just what it says. If you keep dragging this out, the Feather Tribe cannot accompany you further. With so many Ancient Kings here, our absence wouldn’t be much of a loss.”

Facing the questioning, Savanna responded calmly, with a firm stance.

“Then let us use the next half a month to thoroughly take down Truth City and annihilate the sorcerers and humans.”

“Seconded!”

“Seconded!”

Having attacked the city for so long and still unable to take down a sorcerer-lord’s city was indeed sowhat embarrassing; very quickly, everyone agreed to break into Truth City within half a month.

The next day, the army continued its siege.

The three great tribes even revealed several of their treasure artifacts, so of them critically important and not easily shown to others, such as the Thunder Tribe’s ‘Thunderous Heaven Pillar’, the Feather Tribe’s ‘Ninety-Nine Wings’, and the Black Scale Tribe’s ‘Nether Sea Tears of Life’.

As such a treasured item appeared on the battlefield, the protective barrier of Truth City imdiately beca shaky and unstable.

The arcane wizards on the city walls understood that the mont of life and death had co, and they could only resort to their last ace.

“Activate the grand formation!”

“Activate the grand formation!”

“Activate the grand formation!”

Following the proclamation by the two Great Sages, arcane wizards echoed in unison, sparing no effort in their power, converging various strengths together to activate the highest formation of the sorcerer world—the Witch King Multiple Forms Array.

Not just the arcane wizards, but also the Level 3 Sorcerers inside the city followed suit. They presided over individual regions, operating the internal formations and integrating the generated power into the grand formation.

In fact, all the arrangents within the inner city of the Truth City were designed around this supre formation.

At the heart of the formation was the Supre Council, including both the inner and outer halls of Truth Hall, followed by the Peak of Truth, as well as various sorcerer towers and residences throughout the city.

The situation was indeed dire, and the ti had truly co to use their last resort.

Under the leadership of the two Great Sages, the sorcerers were united as one, allowing the Witch King Multiple Forms Array to gather the power from all parts of the city and unleash an unprecedented might.

Soon, the Witch King Multiple Forms Array replaced the original protective barrier, continuing to guard the sacred land of the sorcerers.

Even the most potent ancestral artifacts of the three tribes were repelled without effect, as Truth City remained secure and impenetrable, repelling all incoming attacks outside the formation.

“Damn! These sorcerers really have other asures.”

“Be patient, considering the situation inside the city, this must be their last available asure. Once we break through this formation, the sorcerer world will be in the palm of our hands, for us to manipulate at will.”

“Increase the assault, continue the attack, I want to see just how long they can hold out.”

This no doubt caused a stir among the Alien Race, yet the higher-ups among the aliens were not short of intelligence. They could see that the sorcerers were at their limit; by maintaining the attack and depleting their energy, the mont of Truth City’s downfall was imminent.

As the morale of the Alien Race surged, an unexpected change occurred.

With a thunderous boom, a figure was blasted away, in an instant soaring over a thousand ters.

“%…&%…&&&”

Jeteri, the Ancient King of the Black Scales tribe, lay in the deep crater he had just created, weakly coughing up blood, his heavily slurred speech incomprehensible.

Jeteri was the first of the Alien Ancient Kings to be so severely injured that he was unable to move.

Other Black Scales Ancient Kings arrived in haste, checking his injuries only to find that although he was missing an arm, a leg, half his body, and half his face, he was not yet dead.

The newcors breathed a sigh of relief, hurriedly lifting Jeteri out of the crater, while noticing that his mouth kept chanting sothing.

“Jeteri, what are you saying?”

“Sorcerer—why—-”

“It’s still the sorcerers’ trick inside the city. Rest assured, we will definitely proceed with caution, there’s no need to worry about us. You just take good care of yourself.”

Jeteri’s voice was still sowhat unclear, and the Ancient King beside him had no ti to delay, signaling his subordinates to take him away.

In fact, Jeteri simply wanted to ask why the sorcerers were only targeting him, a question that was destined to go unanswered.

With his example set, the Alien Ancient Kings had no choice but to restrain their arrogant deanor, as no one wanted to end up with severe injuries and significantly diminished combat capability.
