Chapter 523: Chapter 521: Crimson War Banner

Outside the Black God Abyss.

The sky was dense with clouds, and the airship “Lanque” was stably hidden in midair, completely unaffected by the gunsmoke emanating from deep underground.

Inside one of the rooms on the airship, five formidable lords stood motionless, waiting for their prey to take the bait, resembling experienced hunters.

After an indeterminable amount of ti, Hardy, the President, sensed sothing and suddenly stood up, his sorcerer robe fluttering without wind.

“It’s our turn to make a move.”

“Quickly!”

...

Hotter had been eagerly awaiting this mont and rushed out of the room impatiently.

He truly feared arriving too late and finding Ivan fallen into the hands of the alien realm lord.

His worries were not unfounded, as Ivan’s group was already at a disadvantage compared to the enemy, and it was very likely they were also being suppressed by their environnt, putting them in a dire situation.

The group swiftly leaped from the airship, descending towards the ground, with President Hardy leading in speed.

Under President Hardy’s lead, the five did not head towards the entrance to the Black God Abyss where Ivan had gone but instead rushed to another location, arriving above a puddle at so distance from the ridge in an instant.

The water in the puddle was a light black color.

Once President Hardy landed on the water’s surface, the puddle smoothly expanded, followed by the rotting silt and black soil beneath, a process whose efficiency was countless tis faster than Ivan’s group.

“There is a barrier.”

The Black God Abyss was not a benign place, especially after Ivan’s team assaulted the bottom of the deep ravine, and the Abyss had undergone several transformations, turning it into a tightly sealed special space.

Seeing this, Hotter’s heart skipped a beat.

“No matter, this is Danaila’s domain, and outsiders shall not prevail here.”

President Hardy easily discerned that the Black God Abyss was a spatial-type magic artifact, quite unique, integrated with its surroundings as if they were one.

Fortunately, it was not complete, probably a semi-finished product, and thus had flaws.

“My friends, prepare to follow my command. When the ti cos, exert your strength in the direction I point, and we will blow it open with one strike,” he quickly formulated a plan in his mind.

“Okay.”

“Please instruct us.”

Upon hearing his words, the other four did not hesitate.

Each of them was a prominent figure, having traveled great distances to converge here, all for this critical mont.

Under President Hardy’s deft manipulation, a black-purple-red energy mbrane ceaselessly changed, producing fluctuations that did not spread to a wider area but were tightly confined to a small space by him.

Two to three seconds later, a faint black-purple-red tri-colored net structure moved into place.

“Blast it!”

“Boom!”

With President Hardy’s shout, divine light radiated from the four, their attacks imbued with the power of their domains, striking precisely onto the tri-colored structure, causing it to emit a dull sound.

Under the onslaught of multiple lords’ powers, the tri-colored net fractured like torn fabric, revealing the scenery below.

It was the innermost plaza of the Black God Abyss, directly above where Ivan’s team made their final confrontation. Upon sight, Hotter’s thunderous might surged, and without waiting for the passage to fully rip open, he forcibly smashed his way through.

The others followed in succession.

Elsewhere.

In an unknown small world, as he faced the black-bearded lord, sweat uncontrollably broke out on Ivan’s back.

At this mont, he had to face not only the pressure brought by the commander of the Supre Red Legion but also resist the pressure emanating from the surrounding world. These omnipresent forces could not be negated by shields or domain auras.

He estimated that his strength had been reduced to about fifty to sixty percent.

“Ivan Marichardon, I’ve said before, you are dood this ti.”

Having his carefully nurtured power and precious body double destroyed by an inferior being, even a bug servant predestined by him, and then being injured by the sa person, one could only imagine the mood of the black-bearded Queler.

Now, this human sorcerer who dared to offend him had fallen into his hands.

“Wait!”

Ivan, who never put on airs when it was ti to yield, hastily shouted out.

“Now you are willing to submit? Too late, I’ve told you, today you shall die with nowhere to bury your body,” the black-bearded Queler’s voice was icy as he controlled two whiskers to wrap around Ivan, further sealing him.

The situation grew increasingly dire.

“I possess Secret Techniques exclusive to the demonic tribe of the abyssal realm. You’ve witnessed my Secret thod Body Double, you should be able to sense their uniqueness—one being the root of the Earth, the other a Spiritual Body that has crossed the boundary between life and death, truly achieving One Body Three Manifestations. I am willing to exchange this Secret Technique for my life.”

Another blood-red scroll on Ivan was rendered useless, the third one already. He hurriedly proposed his terms at the fastest speed.

Previously, the Black Scythe Lord had repeatedly voiced his desire for Ivan to submit, presumably due to the factor of the Secret thod Body Double.

Compared to the body double cultivated at the bottom of the ravine, the Nether Soul Mirror was the real authority on nurturing doubles. With his current Level 3 status, his offer undoubtedly held persuasive power.

“Daydreaming.”

Black Beard Quele was not one to easily quell his anger.

Yet, he was clearly tempted.

“You see I didn’t actually hurt you, the Black Scythe Lord’s black poison has no effect on you, and as for the Black God Society, as you’ve said before, they are just a bunch of useless scraps.

And as for your body double, once you’ve learned the One Body Three Manifestations Secret Technique, in just a few years you could cultivate one of any type.

If you have other demands, you may also put them forward, I will try my best—”

Ivan sensed the other party’s vacillation and struck while the iron was hot, continuing his persuasion.

“I’ve said, you are dead at.”

“Before you die, I will suck your brain marrow bit by bit, browsing your mories from within until I’ve obtained the Body Double Secret thod you spoke of.”

On Black Beard Quele’s enormous body, a ring of insect eyes ran along its round bulging form, only two pairs of which were open at the mont, both displaying a ferocious compound glare.

His mouth was not to be seen, and it was unclear where his voice was coming from.

“Wait, please don’t be impulsive, hear out one more ti.”

Seeing that the other party was about to strike a deadly blow, Ivan advised again, “Even if you scoop out my entire brain, I’m afraid you will hardly get any useful Secret Techniques. Our sorcerer’s Secret Techniques are bound by stringent contracts that dissipate into smoke and clouds upon death.

I dare swear to the Mother of Earth Core, there’s not a single false word in this, and if there is any deception, I shall never beco an Arcane Wizard for all eternity.”

His words weren’t false; he himself had practiced this, having harvested the mories of sorcerers who underwent Bloodline Alteration with the Sacrificial Heart, but never obtained any valuable spells, let alone any Secret Techniques.

Of course, the reason he was saying this was not to make a trade, but purely to buy ti.

“Zzz—”

Inside the small world, the overall atmosphere fell into a brief silence, with only the faint sound of those special insect noises, and the Blood-colored Battle Banner on the mountain behind waving soundlessly.

On the tattered, old flag, a black worm bristling with spikes seed on the verge of bursting forth.

At this mont, faced with Ivan’s candid words, Black Beard Quele’s heart was shaken again. It wasn’t that his determination to kill Ivan faltered, but rather he was contemplating both obtaining the Secret Technique and devouring Ivan.

This was by no ans an easy task.

However, before Black Beard Quele could co up with a brilliant solution, he realized he had been tricked. Soone had brazenly invaded the Black God Abyss and was rapidly making their way here.

“Die!”

Black Beard Quele didn’t waste another word, his myriad insect tentacles dancing towards the portal in the outer space, while the tentacles entangling Ivan began to exert more force, with no reservations.

The force of a deadly kill poured down along the tentacles.

Under the attack of the terrifying force, Ivan’s protective shield flickered on and off, and the blood-patterned scrolls he carried were continuously destroyed, so swiftly that he himself almost couldn’t notice it.

“Ivan, we’re here.”

“Old worm brat, don’t be presumptuous!”

At a critical mont, figures bathed in divine light erged from the space portal, instantly arriving beside Ivan. They cut off the wrapping tentacles, rescuing him from their clutches, and shielded him at his front.

Ivan sharply recognized the figure whose Domain Aura was blooming was Hotter; he had arrived just in ti.

“Ivan, you took too big of a risk this ti, you kept delaying without signaling us, we almost didn’t make it on ti,” said Hotter, turning his head to glance at him. Seeing that Ivan had not been grievously wounded, he rebuked him dissatisfiedly.

“Wasn’t it not too late?”

“That’s because President Hardy was there, able to disregard the Black God Abyss as nothing; otherwise, you’d be waiting to beco worm food.”

“Thanks, shall we go back first?”

“Alright. I need to keep an eye on the space portal, lest it suddenly closes.”

As Hotter arrived for the rescue, four other powerhouses were not idle, taking turns assaulting Black Beard Quele’s true form, with President Hardy being the quickest.

Drawing near, President Hardy reclaid control of the inconspicuous chain with ease, making it wrap around Black Beard Quele.

The chain itself was already close to the Black Scythe Lord, hanging at the end of the Mystical Black Long-handled Scythe. Now it rapidly extended and thickened, spreading along the massive body.

Once this transformation began, Black Beard Quele sensed sothing ominous; it could feel a tyrannical suppressive force emanating from the chain.

However, what it didn’t know was that this chain was called the ‘Whale Binding Chain,’ specifically designed to bind dragon-like giants and suppress its gravely injured form without issue.

Not only that, but Hardy, Philona, Gerry, and Inom began brutally ganging up on it, causing Black Beard Quele to be overwheld and unable to deal with the chain’s spread.

“Roar, you’re pushing too far!”

“Supre Red, most exalted and unsurpassed, protect our nation!”

It had been an unfathomably long ti since it, Black Beard Quele, had suffered such a beating.

Black Beard Quele understood that if it didn’t counterattack, it was done for, so it engaged its final counterasure.

With the roar settling, the Blood-colored Battle Banner atop the rear mountain violently fluttered, releasing a heavy surge of scarlet light spreading at an astonishing speed.

This intense light seed as if it could pierce the heavens and the earth.

In an instant, it enveloped much of the sky, as if a blood-stained banner shrouded the world.

Above the firmant, a dragon-shaped black worm bristling with spikes roared at the world, causing a change in Hardy and the others’ expressions.
