Chapter 307: Chapter 306: Furious as Thunder
Several days have passed since the minor appraisal contest, and with the event’s ferntation, Ivan harvested a significant boost to his reputation. From that point on, no one within the Enchanters Guild questioned his enchantnt prowess.
More and more people now recognize the saying, never judge an exceptionally talented individual by ordinary standards.
Undoubtedly, this referred to Lord Ivan.
“Sorcerer Ivan, you can decide when to disclose your thods internally at your convenience, the guild will not make any demands. However, the number of requests to refine the Light of Great Wisdom might increase, so please take care.”
“Certainly no problem, after all, I’m being rewarded with space-type crystal stones, the more the better.”
“Ha ha ha, I’ll rember your words.”
As the protagonist of the event, Ivan communicated with Angus about the Light of Great Wisdom; unlike the Black Magic Wind Fire Array, he would not open the blueprints to the guild internally, but only accept refining commissions for the Light of Great Wisdom.
This choice was the sa as the one made by Sorcerer Donnie with the Token Exchange.
“Moreover, the Light of Great Wisdom has much potential yet to be explored; don’t slack off, I’m still waiting for more brilliant news from you,” Angus said earnestly.
“Of course, learning never ends.” Ivan nodded strongly.
In fact, the Light of Great Wisdom he presented was only part of what he had; there were other functions he had not yet shown.
The primary use of the Light of Great Wisdom was to aid in gaining spatial insight, which was the original purpose of its developnt, and he followed this line to delve deeper into it.
Next was the monitoring of space turbulence.
In the process of research, he unexpectedly deduced a third possibility. By reversing the effect of certain rune bundles within the Light of Great Wisdom, it might be possible to artificially create a space turbulence.
He didn’t dare try this possibility lightly, as it still remained a theoretical consideration.
Until today, the complete Light of Great Wisdom had 16 runes bundles, surpassing the threshold of an elentary runes sorcery array by quite a bit, not wasting the two Light of Great Wisdom and three Wisdom Lights he had used.
“Good day, Lord Ivan.”
“Lord Ivan, thank you for the blessings you’ve brought to space explorers; may you beco our race’s Great Sage soon.”
Exiting the Vice President’s office, Ivan encountered people along the way who all voluntarily stopped to greet him; the scene was still impressive, reminiscent of the days when the Black Magic Wind Fire first appeared.
Ivan responded patiently to each greeting.
Not until he returned to Rapid Wood Tower did his surroundings beco quiet again.
“Strength is the foundation, not reputation. A reputation without the support of real strength is a castle in the air.” He was very sober, not letting the complints from outside go to his head, but instead he continued to tally his losses from the experience.
With gains ca losses; he had consud a sizeable amount of Light of Wisdom, but also gained a lot, which was evident from the Academic Prodigy panel.
The Study of Planes knowledge, which encompasses space knowledge, advanced most rapidly, rising two levels from a Level 5 to a Level 7 subject.
Thanks to his greatly improved ability to manipulate space-type particles, Energy Particle Skill rose from Level 7 to a Level 8 subject.
With his recent fa in a small circle, Enchantnt Skill and Runes Skill experience points increased substantially and continued to grow, with an upgrade in sight.
Currently, there remained three Lights of Wisdom and five Light of Great Wisdom on the panel.
“These Light of Wisdom must not be used frivolously. The Black Bristle Nocturne ditation thod can only reach a Level 2 limit, and the problems with String Control Sacred Heart are obvious; the other ditation thods are even more incomplete. I need to reserve them for deducing a ditation thod that fits .”
“However, the spiritual resistance caused by the previous incident in the magic stone mine has not yet subsided, so there’s no need to rush.”
He glanced over his attribute panel; his spiritual power was still at 163.3 graduated degrees, which had not moved at all in over a year; by his estimate, it would likely take more than half a year to resolve.
This, too, was not a cause for imdiate concern.
After summarizing his gains and losses, Ivan went to the pool where the Pan Iron Root resided.
It’s worth ntioning that he had now gained initial insight into and control over space threads. Therefore, he had specifically arranged an energy gathering array around the pool to direct more space energy to the Pan Iron Root.
They also began to extensively use Space-type Crystal Stones to cultivate the Pan Iron Root, which further enhanced the growth rate of the plant.
“It has grown much longer in length, and its color is still like that of yellow rock.”
Feeling his presence, the Pan Iron Root slowly probed one end out of the pool, stopping in front of him, resembling a long snake raising its head. This demonstrated the growth in the root’s intelligence and sensitivity.
This was actually due to the nourishnt of the Light of Wisdom.
Besides its intelligence, the hardness and flexibility of the Pan Iron Root had increased as well—only the energy consumption had not decreased.
After a thorough inspection, Ivan found that the Pan Iron Root had not yet reached its growth limit and had not developed any issues due to growing too quickly; he was relieved.
At this rate, the Pan Iron Root’s second tamorphosis seed to be within easy reach.
“Sorcerer Ivan, Swamp Ant seeks an audience.”
“Co in.” Ivan stood up and looked towards the door as Swamp Ant appeared, travel-worn. “Swamp Ant, you’ve worked hard.”
“It is my honor to serve you.” Swamp Ant had made a trip to Moon Pincer Peninsula and had just returned to East Capital East Blade City, bringing greetings from afar.
Unconsciously, the ti for the new cycle of the five-year period of Curse of Demon’s Resentnt had arrived.
Although he had Divine Lady Mavis’s assurance, Ivan was still sowhat concerned. But with the minor appraisal contest imminent, he let Swamp Ant take a look for him and anwhile carry so resources to the two ladies.
Swamp Ant brought back letters from Justine and Pearney.
The two were fine, and their letters were thick with longing and the hope that he would return in person.
Ivan gave a nonchalant smile but said nothing.
After all, they were all sorcerers; there was no need for excessive sentintality.
…
Fairy World, a certain continent.
A lush, verdant mountain range sprawled across the land, its shape peculiar. If anyone could glimpse its entirety, they would recognize it as a Giant Spirit Deer lying prone on the ground.
However, this deer had broken antlers, uneven and jagged.
All the creatures living nearby knew that this peculiar forest was a legendary dangerous land on the continent—a playground for demons and monsters, and one should never approach it.
One day, the mountain range suddenly began to tremble, startling the birds and animals in the jungle to scatter in all directions.
At the front of the mountain range, the Giant Spirit Deer lifted its enormous head, gazing deeply towards a location to the south. This caused many of the strange creatures known to the outside world as ‘demons and monsters’ to suddenly freeze in fear, kneeling on the ground and quivering.
“Daring to intercept my things, such audacity. I want to see which thief it is!”
“There’s an ancient and stale Divine Power of the God of Spring. The Spring Goddess of old—a re servant girl—who dares to stand against , how preposterous!”
Various plants and clumps of earth kept falling from the head of the Giant Spirit Deer as it spoke, its voice booming like a great bell. After sniffing for a long while towards the front, it seemingly detected sothing and suddenly beca as furious as thunder.
As it was preparing to act, a dense net of runes erged around it, preventing it from continuing its movent.
This made the Giant Spirit Deer even more furiously enraged but it was helpless. After cursing for a while, its deep and dark eyes fell onto the creatures behind it.
“Please, have rcy, Your Excellence!”
“Ancestor, have compassion!”
Realizing what was happening, the great demons and monsters began to plead for rcy.
But then the Giant Spirit Deer opened its mouth and inhaled. Whatever demons and monsters there were, all were swallowed into its belly, resulting in a satisfied belch.
The Giant Spirit Deer turned its head back around, letting its head fall back onto the ground, its gaze fixed intently on a certain place to the south.
