Before the people of the Flash Vortex Alliance could rejoice, they saw a strange change occurring on the island ahead that involuntarily gave rise to a bad premonition.
The scenery of the island changed drastically, as though so form of disguise had been removed.
On the island, several oddly sized steles appeared, exceedingly conspicuous. Barbatt recognized them at a glance—it was the Twilight Stele that had been stolen from the academy.
Besides the steles, nurous sorcerers also appeared on the island.
These sorcerers activated a certain Formation, causing the island to be enveloped in a special spectral light. The spectral light, turning into pillars of energy, shot straight up from the steles into the sky, vaguely connecting to so mysterious place midair.
The Power of Flash Vortex erged from the seawater a step ahead, continually approaching, yet its direction was slightly off, as it seed to have deviated by a few ters upwards. This caused the Power of Flash Vortex to take a big turn along the Formation's spectral light, being guided by the pillar of light and crashing towards the midair.
In an instant, a dark, light-absorbing hole was ford upon impact. Deep within the hole, it seed as though shadows were moving.
From the viewpoint of Barbatt and his team, the hole appeared to exude an aura that captivated one's soul, clearly a terrifying abyss.
"No good, it's the people from the Star Moon Alliance. They have a conspiracy. We need to retreat!"
Seeing that the situation was dire, Barbatt and his team made an imdiate decision to move away from the area.
Their decision was undoubtedly wise. As the ships had just moved a distance away, the dark hole began to spew out large amounts of strange black light, and as soon as a thread of this black light touched the ocean surface, it petrified a large area of the water.
