Chapter 57 Sun Sanniang is Divorced

Where they were going, Gao You didn’t really care. As long as it was where his wife wanted to go, he naturally wouldn’t refuse.

“Don’t you want to ask where we’re going?”

Zhao Pan’er blinked her big eyes at him.

Was she trying to lt his heart with this adorable look?

Gao You smiled and shook his head.

“No need to ask!”

“As long as my wife is there, that’s where I’ll be!”

Alright then!

Zhao Pan’er had originally planned to tell him where they were going, but now her mouth was filled with sweet honey. She happily pulled Gao You along, quickening her pace.

Was he really not going to ask where they were going?

Gao You helplessly watched as Zhao Pan’er, head down, dragged him forward.

Zhao Pan’er was calculating the ti in her heart.

The Temple of Yue Lao was within the city, and it would take just one day to go and thank the matchmaker deity. But her parents’ graves were outside the city. Taking Gao You there to pay respects would take two days for a round trip.

Zhao’s Tea House had been doing exceptionally well lately, and there simply wasn’t enough ti!

Before they knew it, they had already arrived at their doorstep.

Looking at the courtyard gate, for the first ti, Zhao Pan’er felt that the road ho was too short. She still wanted to hold hands with Gao You, strolling under the moonlight for a long, long way.

Once they entered the courtyard, she wouldn’t have a reason to keep holding onto her husband like this!

Hesitating, she spotted a pavilion not far away.

“Gao Lang!” (A term of endearnt for her husband)

“Do you want to go watch the moon?”

Why not just watch the moon at ho?

Gao You was puzzled but didn’t refuse.

Seeing him nod, Zhao Pan’er pulled him to the pavilion and sat down, quietly admiring the bright moon in the sky. They seed to have forgotten that their fingers were still interlocked.

Even after sitting down, they remained hand in hand, neither letting go. A gentle breeze blew past. Zhao Pan’er leaned lightly on Gao You’s shoulder. If only ti could freeze at this mont.

“Fu Xingui, you bastard!”

A crying, furious voice echoed from afar.

“Sanniang?”

Zhao Pan’er quickly stood up and looked into the distance, spotting Sun Sanniang wiping away tears as she walked towards their ho.

“Gao Lang, let’s go see what’s wrong with Sanniang?”

Gao You looked at Sun Sanniang approaching, already having an idea of what had happened. Though annoyed that she had interrupted his romantic mont with his wife, he also felt pity for Sun Sanniang.

She had worked tirelessly, slaughtering pigs to save money and help Fu Xingui start a business. Now that their days had finally improved, Fu Xingui had cheated on her and even divorced her!

“Sanniang!”

Zhao Pan’er let go of Gao You’s hand and quickly stepped forward to block Sun Sanniang’s path.

“What happened?”

The mont Sun Sanniang saw Zhao Pan’er, she couldn’t hold back her emotions and threw herself into her arms, sobbing bitterly.

“Sanniang, don’t cry!”

Zhao Pan’er patted her back, trying to comfort her.

Gao You reminded them from the side.

“It’s better to talk inside.”

“Sanniang!”

Zhao Pan’er quickly agreed.

“Let’s go inside to talk!”

Sun Sanniang, still crying in grief, was led into the living room by Zhao Pan’er.

“Have so water!”

Zhao Pan’er placed a cup of water in front of her.

“Didn’t Fu Xingui go on a trading trip?”

“Why are you crying like this?”

Sun Sanniang gritted her teeth and said, “He never went on a trading trip! He went to have an affair!”

“What?”

Zhao Pan’er was also shocked.

With deep sorrow and anger, Sun Sanniang recounted her experience.

After sending Xiao Lingdang and the others away from Zhao’s Tea House, she had planned to buy a writing brush for Fu Zifang before heading ho.

By pure chance, she caught Fu Xingui in the act of cheating with a woman nad Tao. Her fiery temper imdiately exploded on the spot. But instead of being ashad, Fu Xingui accused her of disrupting family harmony and used it as an excuse to divorce her!

“Sanniang, don’t be sad!”

Zhao Pan’er patted Sun Sanniang’s hand, montarily unsure how to console her. She thought about ntioning Ouyang Xu as an example—Explaining that there were many scumbags in the world, she had also been hurt before. Maybe that would create so shared understanding and help comfort Sanniang.

But now, she was being pampered and adored by Gao You, living in sweet bliss.

“How long has Fu Xingui been with that woman?”

Zhao Pan’er decided to analyze the situation with Sun Sanniang, and the two began discussing it. Seeing this, Gao You realized that the conversation wouldn’t end anyti soon. He went to the study, picked up a book on horse appraisal, and started reading.

An hour later, Gao You had already finished the entire professional book on horse evaluation. anwhile, three more won had joined them in the living room—Song Yinzhan, Yin Ping, and Xiao Lingdang.

Now, five won were passionately debating the topic of unfaithful n.

“All n in this world are trash!”

As soon as Song Yinzhan blurted out this statent, Gao You imdiately protested. He cleared his throat.

Song Yinzhan quickly turned her head and clarified, “I wasn’t talking about Brother-in-law!”

“You are the exception!”

Zhao Pan’er glanced at the moon outside, realizing it was already very late. She got up and walked over to Gao You.

“Gao Lang!”

“Hurry and get so rest!”

“Tonight, we’re staying with Sanniang!”

Gao You nodded, stood up, and left the living room. Zhao Pan’er followed him out, heading towards their bedroom together.

“Wife?”

Gao You looked at her in surprise.

Zhao Pan’er cautiously spoke.

“Gao Lang, I want to ask you for a favor.”

“What is it?”

Gao You was puzzled—what could require a request?

“Sanniang was deeply hurt by Fu Xingui.”

“So, I want to ask you to hold back on spoiling for a while.”

Because Sun Sanniang had suffered emotional pain, now even he was being denied the chance to pamper his wife?

Gao You imdiately felt dejected.

Did she really love being pampered that much?

Seeing his disappointed expression, Zhao Pan’er felt a warm sweetness in her heart. She reassured him with a shy, affectionate smile.

“I didn’t say you can’t spoil .”

“You just can’t let Sanniang see it!”

“I don’t want to rub salt into her wounds!”
