Gu Nian panicked all of a sudden for no obvious reasons.
She turned around quickly and returned to her proper location.
"Everybody back to their locations and get ready -----
"Action!"
In the crowded bar, a drunk man whose face was flushed from alcohol stumbling out of the crowd.
The drunk man bumped into soone's shoulder and he waved the bottle in his hand unhappily as he turned around, walked backward, and shouted, "What is your problem… watch where you are going!"
As soon as he finished saying that, he bumped squarely into soone else behind him as he continued to walk backward ---
The girl, who was walking tip toed inside the dim bar trying to locate her friends was pushed forcefully forward from the impact and, losing her balance, she just had ti to let out a scream before she started falling toward the couch next to her.
There was a shadow in the corner of the couch and, before she could make out anything, the girl sat on soone's lap with a hint of woody fragrance.
"I, I am sorry!"
The girl's voice was anxious and her hand reached down to support her weight reflexively. Through her thin clothes, the unfamiliar warmth from the body made her fingers stiffen.
With just that one second of hesitation, she heard a slight chuckle next to her ear and a hand, reaching out from the darkness behind her, grabbed onto her wrist.
She felt a strong tug.
The girl, who just tried to get up, fell right back down and was held down by a man from the back with his hands clasped. The man from behind her slowly sat up straight and leaned forward until he reached the area where light and darkness t.
A faint light reflected in the eyes that were hidden in the dark. It was both cold and seductive; and both loving and distant at the sa ti.
"Where are you trying to grope… Miss?"
"------"
Gu Nian stiffed and looked up abruptly.
"Cut!
"We are done!"
A few cheers from being relieved could be heard and the lights ca back on.
Gu Nian, who was out of character just a second too early imdiately asked with uncertainty, "Mr. Luo Xiu, did you say my na earlier… …"
She hadn't even finished her sentence.
And Director Geng's voice ca through the speaker again ----
"Gu Nian, you refused to sit when I asked you earlier. Now that we are done, you are reluctant to get back up?"
"!"
Gu Nian ca to and bounced straight up from Luo Xiu's lap.
The girl, who was usually languid, blushed under the looks and laughter from the workers whose attention were attracted by the voice from the speaker. She quickly dashed toward the back stage.
"I… I am going to have my makeup removed!"
The laughter died down.
Luo Xiu finally looked away from the director where the girl had disappeared into and, lowering his head, he gently closed his palm.
The unfamiliar feel seed to be lingering.
As it turned out, even as an extre germophobic person, he still did not resent everyone whom he ca into contact with.
There were exceptions after all.
And, this was an exception that was capable of making him get "out of character" in his own pretentiousness.
"Gu… Nian."
The man spoke each word slowly and lightly.
"Brother Luo, I preferred your night tea for you!" He hadn't noticed when his little assistant had co over. He was half way handing him the thermos when he said, "Huh? Were you talking to ?"
"No."
"Oh."
The little assistant bobbed his head back and forth. He then noticed that Luo Xiu did not take the cut from the thermos from him. He was, in fact, sitting there motionlessly staring at the cup as though distracted.
Baffled, he looked up, "Brother Luo?"
Luo Xiu looked down, "I'm not thirsty."
"Eh? But Sister Anna had prepare this for you specifically – Are you worried that the cup isn't clean enough? Don't worry. I always washed your cups out multiple tis!"
By the ti the little assistant was done rambling, Luo Xiu had already gotten up from the couch.
"Send it over to the dressing room," said Luo Xiu in a nonchalant tone.
The little assistant was baffled. "Oh? Why am I sending it to the dressing room?"
"For Gu Nian," said Luo Xiu.
Little assistant, "… … … …"
little assistant, "? ? ?"
