Qiao Xi's voice deepened so more. "You are drunk today so I don't want to fight with you. Please step aside, my friends are still waiting for ."

"Step aside? Hah! This is the Qiao family's territory and I am the next patriarch of the Qiao family. You want to step aside?" As though he was being poked where it hurt, Qiao Linan's voice beca gloomy. "Who do you think you are? What scoundrel friends do you have who are qualified to co inside the Qiao family's mansion?"

"Qiao Linan, don't––"

Qiao Xi's anger had reached its max and, right when he was about to blow up, he saw An Yi walked out of the moon gate from behind Qiao Linan and his gang.

Qiao Xi's look dimd a little. He felt both helpless and complicated.

An Yi leaned against the moon gate and chuckled languidly. "Hey, what's bustling over here? Second Young Master Qiao, you are such a show off. Do you need that many people marching you to and from the bathroom?"

"Who is it?" The drunken Qiao Linan turned around with his face flushed. He relaxed when he saw An Yi and sneered. "Tsk. Here I was wondering who it was. I see that it was––"

Another person walked out from behind the moon gate before he could complete his sentence.

Qiao Linan's face changed colors.

Luo Xiu didn't look at anyone else when he walked out. He gave An Yi a smile that wasn't a smile and said to him, "You bicker with Qiao Xi all the ti and now you couldn't wait but to hurry here?"

An Yi, "I was here for the drama, not here to help him."

Luo Xiu smiled and said, "Oh, is that so?"

During this exchange, the others next to Qiao Linan had also recollected themselves and turned to look at the man in the middle.

Qiao Linan was uncomfortable being the center of attention. His face changed colors a few more ti before he finally switched to a more llow tone and said, "I see that Qiao…… Second [Younger] Brother's guest is Mr. Luo."

Luo Xiu turned when he heard that and gave him a gentle smile. "You are too nice, Mr. Qiao. We are just Qiao Xi's scoundrel friends is all."

"……Puuf."

An Yi busted out laughing as he leaned against the moon gate.

Qiao Linan turned to give him a glare reflexively but his look was stopped by a pair of brown and gentle eyes half-way through. Stiffened, he forced a smile on himself and said, "I, I had a little too much to drink…… Please pardon , Mr. Luo."

Luo Xiu acted like he didn't hear a word. He had no intention of stopping even when he was in front of the others so Qiao Linan and the others had to make way for him.

Luo Xiu stopped in front of Qiao Xi and said to him, "I've given it so more thought. I was the one at fault on that matter and I apologize."

Qiao Xi paused for a little before he realized what "matter" was Luo Xiu referring to. He gave him a peculiar look and asked, "Are you sure you want to talk about your personal issue right here?"

"……"

Luo Xiu gave him a smile.

Then, he turned and looked at Qiao Linan tenderly. "Were you talking to earlier, Mr. Qiao?"

Qiao Linan had an awful look on him and, after struggling for a few seconds, finally lowered his head and said, "Second… Brother. I was wrong on this matter. I apologize."

Qiao Xi was taken a back a little.

After Qiao Linan repeated the sa thing that Luo Xiu had said, Qiao Xi gave Luo Xiu a look and seemingly understood sothing.

Qiao Xi gave a helpless and perfunctory, "It's alright."

Looking distressed, Qiao Linan turned to Luo Xiu and said, "I apologize about what happened today, Mr. Luo. I will for sure go and apologize for my behavior at a different ti after I have sobered up. I will take off for now."

"Take care, Mr. Qiao."

"……"

When the others were gone, Qiao Xi looked back with a complicated look. Staring at Luo Xiu, he said, "If there wasn't the character 'Qiao' printed on the side of the door, I would be wondering whether this mansion belongs to your family or mine."
