Luo Xiu straight up revealed the truth. "I had soone look into her, especially when she retired from the circle."
An Yi frowned and struggled about whether to say sothing.
Luo Xiu, "Go ahead. Just say it."
An Yi thought about it for a few seconds before he said, "If this Miss Gu is the only girl that you ever cared about, then I don't think she would like that you are looking into her behind her back."
"I know."
"Then why did you……"
An Yi looked up reflexively and saw that Luo Xiu was also looking at him, his dark eyes ice-like. "I had to do it even though I was aware of that."
"But why?"
"That is the only way I can have control. It will allow to understand and control the elents that could hurt her."
An Yi sighed. "The problem is that you want control all the ti. And I will admit that you are always able to accomplish that. But, when it cos to romance, that is not a virtue."
Luo Xiu laughed all of a sudden.
An Yi asked, "What are you laughing at?"
Luo Xiu lifted his smiling eyes, "When have I ever had any virtues?"
An Yi was speechless.
"Of the ones who truly know – you, Qiao Xi, Luo Jingyuan, Luo Qingtang, and even Luo Zhang……"
Luo Xiu smiled tenderly.
"Have any of you mistaken as a nice person?"
An Yi felt bad. "Well, you don't have to say that about yourself."
"Oh. " Luo Xiu smiled and raised his tea cup. "Then tell sothing virtuous about ."
An Yi was stunned.
Tender? That was fake.
Kind? Non-existent.
Honest? Never.
Looking at his buddy with limited moral and emotional quotient about zero, An Yi remained silent for a long while before he finally gave Luo Xiu a thumbs up and said to him, "You are good looking."
Luo Xiu chuckled, "That was hard."
An Yi cleared his throat embarrassingly.
Luo Xiu was not bothered by that. He looked back and toyed with the tea cup in his hand. "I don't think anyone will fall for the real nor would I need that."
An Yi looked at him, baffled.
Luo Xiu smiled tenderly. "I don't need real. All we need is what she likes. I will be however she likes to be."
"……"
An Yi's brows furrowed.
He had never been in love but sothing told him that wasn't right. He was, however, unable to put his fingers on what was wrong.
Finally An Yi sighed and gave up on the subject. "Were you able to find out the reason being ngzhi's retirent 6 months ago?"
"Not yet."
"What are you going to do then?" asked An Yi. "Qiao Xi and I looked online while you were on the phone. It was surprising how much attention it had drawn in such a short amount of ti."
The tea cup that Luo Xiu had been rotating stopped for a second. The fluid inside of it waved and he chuckled with a cold look on him.
"That's because soone was behind it. They wanted it to blow up."
An Yi said, "Your n?"
"Of course not." Luo Xiu looked up at him. "Why would you think that?"
An Yi turned his head and smiled. "Because you two seed to have a great tacit understanding – you had just said you wanted to reveal the truth that Zhuo Yixuan was not ngzhi and ngzhi stood out imdiately after. I thought you would be happy to help her along so."
Luo Xiu shook his head. "Right now the public opinions are all focused on ngzhi. That was not what I wanted to see. Blowing things up at this point would only put her on the spot. I wouldn't do such a thing.'
"If it wasn't for you then who could it be? For sure it could not be Zhuo Yixuan or her people. They only wish this whole thing will be blow over. It is unlikely that it would be soone who hated her."
"……"
Luo Xiu didn't say anything. His lips curved a little after An Yi's words. It looked more like a cold sarcasm than a smile.
An Yi could tell from that look. "You figured out who it was already? Zhuo Yixuan's enemies?"
