I've been getting a lot of collaboration requests lately. Actually, it's been happening every day. But I've ignored all of them. Most of these requests are probably from people hoping to ride the wave after my collaboration with Miyamoto-san. I an, I did say that I collaborated with her because of a ssage I received on social dia.
But the reason I collaborated with Miyamoto-san was that I had been paying attention to her for a while. I have no intention of collaborating with people I don't know well.
Speaking of Miyamoto-san, she's been doing well since her rank rose to D, and she's been diving into the mid-level floors of dungeons as a mber of Kanacon. Thanks to her, my subscriber count has soared well past a million, and many of those new viewers seem to have checked out her channel as well.
I watched her recent mid-level adventures through archived streams, and it's clear she's handling the increased attention gracefully.
With Asakawa-san and now Miyamoto-san, that makes two people I've directly ntored in a way. I'd like to help more people, but I'm not that versatile, so I hope to leave that to people like Aizawa-san or Grandma.
Now that I've cleared my big goal of conquering the Sapporo Dungeon, the Association's requests for have dramatically decreased, probably because I'm still a student. Not that I mind, but apparently Shinano-san talked directly with Shishijima-san to free up so ti for . She's starting to feel more like an idol manager than a dungeon explorer.
Grandma, who had been talking about retiring, seems to have been roped back in by the Association after all. Her husband gently convinced her to reconsider and stay active. Honestly, I think her husband's incredible for managing to maintain such a good relationship with soone as intense as Grandma.

But what I really wanted to say is… I've got too much free ti on my hands. In other words, I'm bored.
Dungeons are a part of my life, but even I don't feel like heading straight into one right after returning from the Sapporo Dungeon. So I've spent my remaining sumr vacation lazing around, watching baseball or other people's streams, and before I knew it, sumr was over.
I'm excused from a lot of things due to my explorer activities, so my test scores aren't terrible, but I'm not exactly motivated to study. I even bought so economics books to prep for becoming a CEO, but most of them feel like scammy self-help books. It's like when people buy self-help books, feel satisfied just by owning them, and then sell them for peanuts without reading them.
"Hm?"
My phone buzzed with a notification sound. Soone ssaged … but who?
"...Miyamoto-san?"
The na "Miyamoto Kana" was displayed on my phone screen. We exchanged contact information after our collaboration, but I didn't expect her to actually reach out. I tossed aside my politics textbook and opened the ssage.
"Thank you for your hard work. This is Miyamoto Kana. I'm ssaging you today because I'd like your advice on sothing. Please reply whenever you have ti. I'll be waiting."
"What's going on?"
Since I had nothing better to do, I responded right away. Unlike Asakawa-san, Miyamoto-san's concerns are likely dungeon-related, which makes it easier to reply. Even though she's older than , as an explorer, I'm the senior here.
"I'm a bit surprised by your quick response. It's about my weapon. The blacksmith I work with told it's ti to upgrade my axe. Do you know of any good materials for a battleaxe that could still be effective in the lower layers of dungeons?"
Hmm… I see. For soone like Miyamoto-san, who relies on her weapon for combat, the performance of her gear is a matter of life and death. For , I can get by with sowhat average materials since I mainly use shikigami and magic in battle. But for Miyamoto-san, who can't use magic, that won't work.
That said, I'm not particularly knowledgeable about weapons since I mainly rely on shikigami and only use my sword for enemies where it's particularly effective. I should probably ask soone who knows more about this, like Aizawa-san.
"I'll ask soone I know who might have an idea. For materials suitable for the lower layers, it may require materials from monsters down there."
"Understood. I'll keep trying on my end as well."
"I'll let you know if I find anything useful."
I honestly don't know much about materials for battleaxes. I'll just ask Aizawa-san—he's bound to know. He's always busy, though, even when he's not exploring, so I'll just send a simple ssage for now.
Speaking of which, Miyamoto-san's ssage reminded that it might be ti for to upgrade my sword, too. The one I'm using now is a simple blade that I had made shortly after I beca an EX-rank explorer. Though it's crafted from materials from the deep layers, it's not exactly custom-made.
I did get that crystal lizard material from the Sapporo Dungeon, so maybe I'll use it to commission sothing better.
"For a battleaxe, sothing a bit heavier might actually work best. Materials from inorganic monsters like golems could be ideal, rather than sothing like teeth or claws from beasts."
While I was thinking about it, surprisingly, Aizawa-san responded imdiately. Maybe he's also staying out of dungeons for a bit, recovering after the Sapporo Dungeon.
As for Miyamoto-san's combat style... she's definitely a weapon-focused fighter who relies on enhancing her gear with magic.
"She primarily relies on magic to enhance her weapon for close combat. She's not very adept with magic itself."
"If that's the case, she should focus on materials that can conduct magic efficiently. As long as the material channels magic well, even sothing a bit fragile can work as a weapon. Still, it needs to be durable enough to function without magic."

"It's best to get detailed advice on materials directly from the blacksmith. They know much more about materials than explorers do."
Well, it's true. Most explorers aren't that interested in monster materials… myself included. Serious explorers like Aizawa-san pay attention to that kind of thing, but most others are just interested in whether they can sell the materials for a good price or not.
