As I get closer to the center, soldiers that were nowhere to be seen before start erging from all directions. I get the feeling that they're trying to stop from reaching the center. I don't know what's waiting for there, but I can't help but feel a bit excited.
While I keep the Guchin barrier up, I ignore the soldiers as much as possible and leave them to Sagojo, Kijin, and Tenko.
Sagojo, likely because of his divine rank, outshines the other two when it cos to sheer offensive power. The torrents of water from his trident roar as they tear through both the soldiers and the ancient city. I guess being near water makes him even stronger?
『I can't believe that this brute of a crocodile is being the most useful...! too!』
『Water Dragon!』
I ignore Kijin's rant, and Tenko summons three massive water dragons from the ocean above. These ones are even bigger than before.
Whether it's because the dragons appeared or because I'm closing in on the center, I don't know—but a massive robot, around 10 ters tall, erges from the side of the central area. Though it looks robotic, it also seems like an enlarged version of the stone soldiers we've been fighting, just with more advanced weaponry.
: Is this so kind of monster showdown?
: Lol
: It's literally a kaiju battle now.
: How is this even a dungeon livestream? This feels like a movie.
: If it's human-sized, I'd call it a soldier, but at this size, it's definitely a golem.

One of the water dragons flies straight at the giant golem, but the "eye" on its face fires a red beam, vaporizing the dragon instantly. The beam hits the ruins below, triggering an explosion... Should a guardian really be blowing up the city it's supposed to protect?
The golem turns toward us, raising a massive fist to slam down. But before it can, Sagojo charges forward—water bursts from his trident, forming a spear that pierces the golem's approaching fist.
: Too strong, lol.
: What the hell are you even making?
: Kisaragi-kun, seriously, what are you doing?
: How are you able to create monsters so easily?
"Uh... I don't really know."
Honestly, my idea of Jinsha was just that he'd swim effortlessly and take down enemies with his trident. I never imagined he'd control water like Tenko and obliterate a giant golem in one hit. I guess the entity I summoned ended up being a lot stronger than I expected. Godly summons have a lot of unknowns, after all.
With the golem defeated, I reach what looks like the central castle. I leave the entrance to Sagojo and enter with Tenko and Kijin, just as I expected—another swarm of soldiers.
"Wipe them out!"
I fire lightning bolts, Kijin uses fire, and Tenko unleashes waves of water, mowing down the soldiers as we charge forward. After running through the building and clearing out enemies, we co to an open space. At the center, I spot what looks like a throne. Floating above it, in defiance of gravity, is a purple crystal I've never seen before.
: Is that a dungeon core, like the ones in novels?
: Really? If we destroy it, will the dungeon collapse?
: Wait, are dungeon cores actually real?
: It's just a guess, though.
: We don't even know if it's really a core.
"Let's just attack it for now."
: Wut?
: LOL
: Muscle-brain logic at its finest.
In gas, the standard approach is to attack anything you don't understand. I point my finger at the crystal—let's call it the "dungeon core"—and fire a lightning beam at it. But instead of shattering or reflecting the attack, the lightning is absorbed into the crystal, vanishing without a trace.
"Hmm... Did it just absorb my magic?"
『That's what it looked like. But if it can absorb all your magic so easily... wouldn't destroying it be impossible?』
: Why is destruction always your first solution?
: What if destroying it makes the dungeon collapse?
: Imagine if it all ca crashing down, lol.
: That crystal definitely looks shady.
"Guess I'll try touching it next."
If I can't destroy it, the logical next step is to touch it.
When I reach out, the crystal feels slightly warm to the touch. But what's really strange is that, even though we've been sward by soldiers until now, not a single one has appeared since we entered this room. Is the crystal the key to all of this?
"I have no idea what's going on, so let's take this crystal ho as a trophy."
: Can you even do that?
: Eh, why not?
: And just like that, Nagoya Dungeon is over!
: That was anticlimactic for a final floor.

The crystal isn't as heavy as I expected. Maybe it's because it was floating? It's about two ters tall—definitely bigger than . Hopefully, moving it won't trigger an alarm or cause a bunch of enemies to show up...

The mont I shift the crystal, the surrounding noise vanishes.
『The enemies... they've stopped moving.』
Tenko peeks into the room and confirms that all enemy movent has ceased. So, everything we fought earlier was controlled by this crystal? That's... surprisingly straightforward. Is it really okay to end like this?
: That was too easy.
: Not every dungeon raid needs a dramatic ending, you know.
: Who even are you?
: So dungeons just end abruptly.
: "Abruptly" (with floods and giant robots).
: Reminder: No one but Kisaragi-kun could even reach this place.
Even so... a crystal that absorbs magic power—could it have practical uses? Like storing magic to function as a massive generator?
These days, we generate electricity using disposable magic stones, which ans we need a constant supply of them. But with this crystal, we could store magic power instead. I just don't know how we'd extract it, though...
Well, anyway, this is how we conquered a dungeon that was supposedly impossible for humanity to clear. Problem solved. If the enemies had kept spawning endlessly, I'd have just blown up the entire city—but luckily, that wasn't necessary.
