"I need a helper!"

Taking a deep breath, Wang Junze looked at the Mirage Dragon and slowly spoke.

"???"

This sentence instantly left the Mirage Dragon dumbfounded. What's going on?!

Wang Junze asking him for Spirit Stones, Treasures, or even so Dragon Blood or scales was understandable, but what did it an to ask for a helper?!

Not waiting for the Mirage Dragon to continue questioning, Wang Junze directly explained, "The Other Shore Flower is about to mature. I need to seize the Other Shore Flower, and even... kill all competitors, so I need a helper, do you understand?"

"...You're saying you want to help you kill other humans?"

Upon hearing this, the Mirage Dragon finally realized, his eyes flickered slightly, pondering the credibility of the matter.

The Other Shore Flower he certainly knew, but it was of little use to him, and every ti it matured, humans would fight fiercely over it. As a Transford Great Demon, there was no benefit for him to provoke these humans, was there?

However, if Wang Junze was after the Other Shore Flower, it made sense.

Moreover, if it's just this, helping Wang Junze seize the Other Shore Flower might not be a bad idea. After all... it would be good to devour a few strong humans during the process!

The key point is, was he not forced by Wang Junze?

Compared to fighting Wang Junze to the death, killing other humans seed much easier.

Thinking of this, the Mirage Dragon readily agreed, "Alright, helping you get the Other Shore Flower will settle the score between us!"

"No problem, but... why should I trust you?"

With a slight raise of his brow, Wang Junze sneered, "If you launch a sneak attack while I'm fighting others, can my life be preserved?"

"..."

Hearing this, the Mirage Dragon was so angered that he almost wanted to bite Wang Junze to death on the spot.

Is this even human speech?

You're the one asking for a helper, and then you're the one suspecting I might ambush you—what do you want exactly?

"I need a helper, a loyal and reliable helper; otherwise... I'd rather have nothing and eliminate all dangerous potential threats."

Fixing his gaze on the Mirage Dragon, Wang Junze again said, "So, if you can't make believe in you, I'd rather take the risk and kill you first... do you understand now?"

"Do you think I'm like you humans?"

Infuriated to the brink, the Mirage Dragon spoke again, "I've agreed, so I won't go back on my word. Believe it or not!"

Buzz!

The Mirage Dragon's response was t only with the sound of a sword ringing!

In a breath, the surrounding rainwater reford into a sword, pointing at the Mirage Dragon, as if in the next mont Wang Junze wouldn't mind striking again!

"Stop, stop! I have a way!"

Panic setting in, the Mirage Dragon hastily replied.

"We Dragons can swear by the Dragon God's na. Anyone who breaks this oath will be punished by the Dragon God, and no Dragon dares to defy the Dragon God's Oath!"

The Mirage Dragon grudgingly explained.

"Dragon God's Oath?"

With a raised brow, Wang Junze's interest was piqued.

Truth be told, he had no idea what the Mirage Dragon could do to earn his trust—he was rely using this opportunity to press the other party and see if he could extract sothing of value.

In Wang Junze's mind, his bottom line was for the Mirage Dragon to offer sothing important as collateral, which was just a last resort.

Unexpectedly, this resulted in a pleasant surprise.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?"

"The Dragon God's Oath requires my Divine Soul as the pledge and my Essence Blood as the lead to write down the oath. You can perceive its truth with your Divine Soul!" The Mirage Dragon explained in exasperation.

"Fine, but you must swear according to my instructions."

Nodding, Wang Junze agreed.

"What do you want?"

With a hint of wariness in his eyes, the Mirage Dragon suspiciously asked.

"Relax, it's not to trouble you, rely to ensure my safety." Wang Junze explained, feigning nonchalance.

Wang Junze stopped beating around the bush and directly stated his requirents.

Apart from having the Mirage Dragon agree to help him seize the Other Shore Flower, the most crucial point was that, without his permission, he must not disclose any information about Wang Junze to anyone.

On this point, the Mirage Dragon didn't think much and agreed imdiately.

However, he did add a clause stating that if he encounters a life-threatening danger, he can abandon Wang Junze and escape at any ti instead of fighting to the death with him.

Wang Junze deliberately made it difficult several tis over this issue, eventually pretending to begrudgingly agree, though the ti limit changed from seizing the Other Shore Flower to before Wang Junze completely leaves the Nether Sea.

With this, an agreent was finally reached with the Mirage Dragon.

Next, in Wang Junze's presence, the Mirage Dragon completed the Dragon God's Oath.

Using Dragon Blood as ink and his Divine Soul as the pledge, he wrote the oath. Wang Junze perceived it with his Divine Soul, easily understanding the content, thus successfully completing the Dragon God's Oath.

It was only at this point that Wang Junze completely relaxed, sprawled out on the ground without any regard for his image, allowing the rain and mud to fall on him, unwilling to move another finger.

Seeing Wang Junze in this state, the Mirage Dragon realized that Wang Junze was, in fact, just barely holding out. If the Mirage Dragon had adamantly refused, Wang Junze might not have truly dared to fight him to the death.

Nevertheless, at this point, saying anything was pointless.

The Mirage Dragon could only give Wang Junze one last hateful glare before flying back to the Mirage Forest to tend to his wounds.

Thankfully, there were still several days before the Other Shore Flower matured, and the Mirage Dragon wasn't fatally wounded, allowing him to find a way to recover.

"Young Master!"

On the other side, only after the Mirage Dragon departed did Peng Ru dare to approach.

The pressure from the Mirage Dragon was imnse; if negotiations hadn't gone well and a fight ensued, approaching would have ant needless death.

Kneeling beside Wang Junze, Peng Ru placed an Elixir into his mouth, feeling relieved only when Wang Junze's aura gradually stabilized.

However, the terrifying battle Wang Junze had with the Mirage Dragon left a profound impression on her.

Moreover, she couldn't help but feel a vague sense of doubt in her heart, though she couldn't quite grasp the thought and thus temporarily discarded it.

Before she realized it, the storm gradually subsided, and a hint of dawn light broke through, casting its glow over the two of them.

After the storm, the sky clears.

All the danger and worries seed to be swept away at this mont.

Slowly opening his eyes, the first thing Wang Junze saw was Peng Ru, and a trace of softness couldn't help but appear in his eyes.

Trapped in the Mirage Forest for five whole days, and having fought a life-and-death battle with the Mirage Dragon, in such circumstances, Peng Ru hadn't chosen to flee but had stayed quietly by his side, which in itself said a lot.

It could be said that only at this mont did Peng Ru truly win Wang Junze's trust.
