This is ridiculous.

Gurgle, gurrrgle.

Maybe it's a problem that I'm not that big or heavy yet.

Or maybe the problem is that I'm not good at swimming. I do have a level 1 skill, but it's useless.

I thought it was natural for snakes to be poor swimrs. Because they're cold-blooded animals, and they don't have arms or legs to paddle with.

But when I asked Daisy about it, her response was unexpected.

She said snakes are naturally good swimrs.

She must definitely be a bogus animal keeper.

What do you an good? I'm being sucked down the drain in a bathtub.

The drain was just thick enough for to fit through.

By "just right," I an it was so narrow that I couldn't struggle inside.

And so the great teor Prince Serpent, who could summon teors, was sucked down to the floor below along with the bathwater.

My biggest worry was what would co next.

'What if there's sewage mixed in?'

If this drain is also connected to the sewage system.

If soone's toilet water flows through here too.

I might beco the first serpent to drown in sewage.

I felt extre terror.

"Bwahaha!"

But Pelerian burst out laughing.

"This is what they call karma!"

I didn't imdiately understand what he ant.

A mont later, I realized why Pelerian was so pleased.

'You petty old geezer!'

"A Grand Mage's revenge is short at even 100 years."

Back when I first t Pelerian.

When he tried to ta and betray , I had to establish discipline.

I fed him, ring and all, to a wild boar.

Pelerian was destined to beco boar droppings, abandoned sowhere in the great forest.

He must have been quite scared then.

"It wouldn't be bad to mix with the Emperor's excrent and be buried like this!"

No! To think I'd die trapped in a septic tank.

If I beco a ghost, I'll eat Pelerian.

"Jokes aside, let's think of a way to escape."

'So it was a joke...!'

I definitely thought he was serious.

Seems like he has more personality left than I thought.

Fortunately, I wasn't mixed with dirty sewage.

Other drains did join in the middle, but clean water flowed in.

The problem was that this waterslide showed no signs of ending.

'Glug glug glug!'

It feels like I've been flowing down for a good 3 minutes.

For reference, Obern's assigned room was on the third floor.

It wouldn't take a minute to descend each floor.

At this rate, I'm definitely going underground.

There's nothing strange about drainage pipes going underground.

"Seems like we're going deep."

It's just the depth that was suspicious.

It seems like there's sothing suspicious in the Imperial Palace basent.

Co to think of it, those Heaven dicine Party remnants said sothing.

That the dicinal water (drugs) is practically made by the Emperor.

The reason being that an unknown substance flowing from beneath the Imperial Palace is the fundantal ingredient of the dicinal water.

But that didn't register in my mind.

'I can't breathe!'

Normally, people die if they can't breathe for just 3 minutes.

I'm not a person but a monster, so I should be able to endure longer, but I was suffocating more than expected.

In martial arts novels, masters can hold their breath underwater for over an hour. That's all lies.

"Stop exaggerating, just hold on a little longer!"

My head was spinning.

If I were just staying still, holding my breath for 5 minutes wouldn't be a problem.

But right now, I was being tossed around according to the water flow.

Since it takes quite a bit of effort just to maintain balance here, my breath depleted faster.

Of course, there was no exit route.

The problem is that I can't use magic either.

It's difficult to cast while my entire body is being tossed around in the water.

One thod did co to mind.

'Should I use Gigantification?'

Like killing an enemy by using Gigantification inside their body and bursting them, I could expand here and break through the drainage pipe.

Pelerian could pass through objects to look outside.

"No, this is underground."

Then that won't work.

If this is underground, I shouldn't use Gigantification.

If I did, I'd be crushed to death and turned into snake at blood sausage.

'Now, it's really dangerous.'

It feels like it's been more than 10 minutes since I was sucked in.

Pelerian also seems a bit urgent.

"Wait."

In my increasingly hazy consciousness, I fell sowhere.

Splash!

The narrow drainage pipe widened.

'Hot!'

I almost opened my mouth by accident.

It was water so hot that I would have beco boiled snake at if I didn't have heat resistance.

Splashing and churning, the water flows as if I've entered a water park's lazy river.

I could barely breathe.

'Cooling water, is it being used as cooling water?'

I cleverly realized it right away.

It seems like they're using clean water as sothing like cooling water.

That ans there must be sothing hot outside.

'Have we entered a space?'

"Yes, this is our chance to escape."

Now that the water flow had slowed, it was our opportunity.

「Using Invisible Hand lv20.」

I drew out the longsword Sunset.

And slashed wildly around.

Clang, clang!

Sparks flew wildly inside the waterway.

The cloud iron sword left several wounds on the steel drainage pipe.

I put the sword away again and poured magic into one skill.

「Using Gigantification lv5.」

My body grew.

It was at the point where the water temperature was rising so much it started to boil.

My body volu gradually increased until it finally grew large enough to fill the waterway.

Ouch, it's hot.

My body is getting squashed.

Using Gigantification inside a tal drainage pipe was certainly dangerous, but.

Creeeeak, creeeeeak!

Thanks to the wounds made by the cloud iron sword.

My body overca the pressure of the tal plate.

Boom!

The waterway burst.

And the water inside also spilled out.

There must really be hot things around.

The water vaporized, emitting a trendous amount of steam.

Hissss!

I moved forward, avoiding the steam obscuring my view.

'Where is this...' Find your next adventure on My Virtual Library Empire

It was definitely beneath the Imperial Palace.

Given the ti it took to descend, it must be an extrely deep underground.

But strange machines and pipes were arranged in a complex manner.

There were things like empty water tanks, and further inside, there were bookshelves with organized docunts.

'A research facility...?'

"Without a doubt..."

Why would such a place exist underground?

'Suspicious, very suspicious.'

It seems I've entered a secret underground laboratory in the Imperial Palace.

The problem is that I'm in big trouble if I'm discovered.

'Will the Sword Saint co to capture ?'

"Who would know you ca in here?"

It's still fine for now. As long as no one discovers .

The problem is that I've caused trouble by destroying the cooling waterway.

'Oh, fire!'

A fire started.

Docunts caught fire, and smoke began to billow.

There must have been people inside.

"What's that, smoke!"

"Fire, it looks like there's a fire in the equipnt sector!"

"Call the firefighting team!"

Beyond the door at the top of the stairs, it was chaotic.

Soon after, the sound of people running helter-skelter could be heard.

No, my presence must not be discovered.

「Using Destruction Beam lv1.」

I used Destruction Beam toward the stairs.

As expected, unlike a regular beam, the Destruction Beam showed excellent destructive power.

BOOM!

The stairs collapsed.

"Aaaaah!"

"Damn, the machinery must have exploded!"

Fortunately, the people outside didn't seem to imagine that a snake had invaded along with bathwater.
