Chapter 356: Chapter 356 Orange Tree

Wen Zhu knew her life was over, but she still didn’t dare reveal Gu Pan’s identity. At this mont, she was still afraid of dying. If she spoke up, she might not even finish speaking before she died.

As Wen Zhu was dragged away, Brother Qiang felt fear too. He never expected that he would offend the owner of Entertainnt City.

He quickly knelt down and begged for rcy, “I didn’t recognize the importance of the person before . I was deceived by that b**** just now, she had a personal grudge against you and wanted to use as a scapegoat. I really was used by her.”

Lu Ruisheng kicked Brother Qiang in the chest, “Don’t show up before again, or next ti you won’t be so lucky.”

What else could Brother Qiang say? He hurriedly left with his n.

He hated Wen Zhu. If it weren’t for her, his plan was going well. He had hoped to establish a relationship with the owner of Entertainnt City and even join him on a trip to Mount Everest, but he had offended the owner right from the start. It really infuriated him.

As they left, Gu Pan raised his glass towards the people in the bar, “Drinks are all 20% off today.”

Everyone was happy. The incident just now was trivial to them; wasn’t everyone’s hands stained with blood? So, they just continued to drink and have fun.

Chen Dasheng looked at Lu Ruisheng, “I didn’t expect you guys to be so skilled.”

Lu Ruisheng laughed, “We made it here on our own rit.”

Chen Dasheng also laughed, “Indeed.” Then he asked, “Are you heading back to the office, or do you want to keep playing?”

Lu Ruisheng said, “Let’s play a while longer; I won’t be able to sleep if we go back now.”

Chen Dasheng said, “Then do as you please, call if you need anything.”

Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng responded, and Chen Dasheng went about his own business, since being with the couple might hinder their activities.

After Chen Dasheng left, Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng changed locations, not going to the Black Boxing Club, because Gu Pan really disliked bloody places. The two still preferred auctions and decided to check if there were any that night.

To their surprise, there were indeed auctions, only two, but both featured valuable items.

As for what the valuable items were, they weren’t sure yet, so they went in and found seats.

The first auction item was unexpectedly bodyguards, two highly skilled bodyguards. Gu Pan hadn’t expected this. Even though this was her place, she hadn’t thought that bodyguards could be auctioned?

They didn’t need them, but many others did. The price was driven up quite high, and with surprise, they watched as the bodyguards were auctioned off.

The second item was dicine, which always garnered a lot of attention and was sold above market value.

The third item was an orange tree, about a ter tall with seven or eight small oranges hanging from it. This truly shocked Gu Pan.

She looked at Lu Ruisheng, “Should we bid?” They had plenty of fresh fruit in their “Space,” so they weren’t lacking this kind, but a tree, at this ti, was quite novel.

Lu Ruisheng, seeing her interest, smiled, “If you like it, let’s bid for it.”

Gu Pan nodded. Bringing it back for everyone to enjoy would be nice, as it’s cheerful just to look at.

Lu Ruisheng then started bidding and ultimately won it for 120 kilograms of grain.

The price being higher than antiques wasn’t unusual because those couldn’t be eaten. You have to understand, many people hadn’t tasted fruit in three or four years, the few oranges alone on the tree wouldn’t sell for cheap, let alone an entire tree.

After securing the orange tree, they no longer wished to continue bidding and took it back to their office.

Chen Dasheng, hearing they had secured an orange tree with oranges, curiously ca over to see, even though he was one of the owners, the auction served just as a dium, and not everything passed through their hands. So, learning about this auction item also caught him off guard.

After entering the house, Chen Dasheng grabbed the branch of the orange tree and sniffed it hard, “Damn, the scent of fresh oranges, it’s been a long ti.”

Gu Pan looked at him and smiled, then plucked an orange and handed it to him, “Have one.”

Chen Dasheng, looking at Gu Pan’s action, felt heartbroken, “Girl, there are only a few, why eat them? Isn’t it better to let them grow?”

Gu Pan smiled and said, “Whether this tree will survive or for how long is uncertain, why not eat while they’re fresh? If it survives, won’t we have more next year?”

As she spoke, she plucked another one, “This one’s for Brother Gu.”

Chen Dasheng was about to stop her, “One for the two of us is enough.” But before he could finish, Gu Pan had already plucked it.

So Chen Dasheng added, “You guys eat this one, Brother Gu and I will share one. Too many of these nice things, and it would spoil us.”

“Eat up, who knows if there will be any fruit trees to slap tomorrow?” Gu Pan wasn’t afraid to pick them; she had fresh little oranges in her Space and had planned to bring so back. She would tell her companions that the slapped orange tree was exceptional and prolific, so everyone could taste fresh fruit, having not had any for so long.

The seeds Gu Pan gave Gu Ci last ti had sprouted, and if nothing went wrong, they should fruit; in a few more months, they would harvest, and many at the base would enjoy fresh fruit.

Chen Dasheng cherished the two oranges, “I’ll go find Gu Ci.” Good things should be shared with good brothers first.

Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng watched him leave and then locked the door.

Then the two entered the Space, found oranges like the ones from the tree, and packed thirty into a small crate before going to sleep.

The next day, after saying goodbye to Gu Ci and Chen Dasheng, they took the orange tree and returned to the base.

Before leaving, Gu Ci had soone load up their car with gasoline, a reward given for the yacht.

Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng drove away from Entertainnt City, and after reaching a remote area with no one around, they stored the gasoline in their Space and then returned to the base.

On their way back, Gu Pan took out the small crate of oranges they had packed the day before and passed the guard post to enter the base.

The guards were astounded by the sight of the fresh oranges and the orange tree, and it wasn’t until after they had gone that people started discussing what they had seen.

So even doubted what they had just witnessed, wondering if it really was an orange tree and oranges.

Only after many confirmations did they begin to believe what they had seen.

Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng discussed that it might be best to give the tree to Lu Jianguo. Their care might not match professional staff and conditions; previously, Gu Pan thought of having ng ng care for it, but upon reflection, the survival rate would be higher at the base, and it was better not to waste it.

So the two drove straight to Lu Jianguo’s office.

After getting out of the car, they carried the orange tree into the office building. Though Lu Ruisheng could carry it alone, the area was crowded and prone to bumping, so they carried it together for a better view.

As soon as they entered, everyone gathered around to discuss.

An orange tree, no way, is it really an orange tree?” an excited female clerk exclaid.

A man in a work outfit was surprised, “No way, there are still oranges on it, wonder if they can be eaten.”

A young guy nearby swallowed hard, “I think I can sll the oranges.”

Everyone couldn’t help but follow them upstairs.

Gu Pan and Lu Ruisheng carried the tree into Lu Jianguo’s office, and he too was astonished when he saw them and the tree, “Where did you two get this from?”

Lu Ruisheng smiled and said, “Dad, we’ll talk about this when we have more ti.”
