Once inside, the couple got straight to the point, expressing their wish to have Chen Fengzhou introduce them to his uncle. They had energy resources stashed away and wanted to talk things over with soone high-up.
Without any hesitation, Chen Fengzhou accepted, “Alright, I’ll go talk to my uncle about this in a bit.”
Gu Pan said, “There’s a bit of a sensitive issue we won’t hide from you. We’ve offended a relative of a base commander, but we’re not sure which one. So, we want you to ask your uncle which of the two Secretaries is more fair and just. Us ordinary folk prefer leaders who care for the people, not those who lord over them, aiding the cruel.
