At this ti Sam thought he was dreaming so he tried to hit himself which made him feel pain. But unfortunately, he is unable to use any kind of techniques or Spiritual energy. Fortunately, he was able to feel a familiar energy present in his body and that was the soul energy.
You also try to leave the prison which beca impossible for him. It Looks like so kind of force is preventing him from going outside of the prison. Only then when he ca back to that place where you can see the girl, did he suddenly notice sothing.
