Chapter 9—.....’s Appearance

Bam!

Sli#1 slamd his fist into the wooden fence with all his might.

Zhii!—Smoke rose from the spot where the elder sli’s fist hit the wood.

The old sli pulled back his tiny hand and stared arrogantly at the faint burnt fist mark he left behind.

The young sli—Sli#47—was stunned.

’The heck was this? Even a five-year-old kid could do more damage.’ His sli mouth hung open and nearly dropped to the ground.

Old sli’s punch burnt a mark on the wood and even emitted smoke, but—that was it!

’Even a human kid could break that wooden fence by smashing any object against it!’ Sli#47 thought, half depressed, half speechless.

"You call that Acid Fist?" he couldn’t help blurting out in despair.

’If this elder sli, who had a lot of knowledge, felt this attack was powerful, then how can slis go up against humans?’ he mused bitterly.

"Huh?" Sli#1 had put a lot of slis in awe by displaying this small attack.

He thought he had done the sa with this young one, but unfortunately, he didn’t, as the youngling glanced at him with pure disgust.

The elder sli sighed and explained with—cough!—"Acid Fist is a powerful attack, but I lack aura and mana to bring out its true power. My level’s only four."

Mana, aura, levels—these were common things to Sli#47, which he ca across a lot in his past life.

When Sli#1 inquired about demon language—Demon Tongue skill—he already understood that everyone might have a system in this world.

But just for clarity, he still questioned, "What are the levels you spoke of? And what is mana and aura?"

"See, young one, levels define power. The higher the level, the stronger the being. The Acid Fist, I spoke requires at least an aurapower stat of G-!" He looked disappointed as he continued in a low voice, "But I haven’t even unlocked the aura power stat and mana power stat."

"O—" the young sli was cut short as the elder sli went to explain in detail, as always. "Aura and mana are two kinds of energies—similar yet distinct. If mana cos from nature, aura cos from within the body."

’Yeah-yeah, I know. It’s kindergarten-level stuff,’ Sli#47 mused with a blank look.

For soone like him who watched a lot of ani and manga while reading web novels, it was common knowledge.

Thwack!—Elder sli hit the young sli’s body, seeing his uninterested glance, and continued in a stern voice, "Mana is everywhere in the world. We breathe mana, we poop mana. But aura is not won’t work like that." He paused for a mont to check whether the young sli was paying attention, and he continued, "When we absorb mana from the surroundings, involuntarily or voluntarily, our body changes part of it to another power—that is known as aura."

"Hooo," Sli#47 just wobbled with acknowledgnt.

"When we reach level 10, the stats of magic power and aura power will be unlocked," the elder sli finally said, the main point.

The youngling blinked his eyes. He glanced at Sli#1 with suspicion.

’He is at level four; So, how did he know at level 10 the stats would be unlocked. Wait..I think I need to check him out by...’ He exclaid out loud in doubt, "Don’t tell —you are a reincarnator?"

He felt he’d t a fellow earthling.

"Hahaaha," The old sli laughed gleefully. "You figured it, my greatness—I’m a reincarnator....." He looked prideful, puffed his blob body, posing like a muscular sli, but after a second, his tone hardened, his eyes narrowing, "Wait—how do you know about reincarnators....no, you are not one of us. If you were, you would have knowledge of all this. That ans....you are an Otherworlder."

"No wonder.... You had intellect from birth," Elder sli finally understood.

’So, he’s not an earthling like . I was expecting a fellow traveller,’ Young sli had been disappointed as vicious body wobbled with slight nervousness.

He hoped Elder Sli wouldn’t fight him for being an otherworlder.

He didn’t know how otherworlders were viewed in this world. He was nervous as he rembered a certain ani where otherworlders were killed right after being isekai’ed.

But he wasn’t too freaked out, as he knew the loop would start again if he died.

Older Sli sighed and said, "Looks like our race is blessed—a reincarnator and otherworlder being born in the sli race at the sa ti. Before I introduce myself, you should do the honours," Elder Sli smiled gleefully.

’It seems otherworlders are seen as special in this world,’ Sli#47 was relieved that he didn’t have to fight against the entire world.

"I am from a world called Earth. My previous life na was Ganesh. And I was reincarnated into this world because Ti God...." Sli#47’s words stopped as—Boom!—an eye opened in the black sun.

The entire world shook, and the sky cracked as black light illuminated the entire world. Seven crimsoneyes manifested in the sky—totalling eight.

Siii!

A large spider with eight eyes ca into the vision of the slis and the entire world. It was so monstrous that one would even believe it was a mountain, if not glimpsed at its full body.

What was weird about this creature was that it had a female head—not a female upper body but only the head—and it had crimson eight eyes with no facial features.

Once it ca into view, air itself turned silent—birds dropped lifeless to the ground, space cracked wherever its legs touched.

"Ahhhhh, what the fu#) is wrong with this world! From the mont I saw the black sun, I knew this world was Fux&*p," Sli#47 roared out loud in panic.

His jelly body wobbled intensely due to the eerie and chilling creature in the sky.

Whoosh!

A large web was spat out by the spider, which caught Sli#47, trapping him.

’This... abomination is after ... #@&*&##’ His mind shattered in fear.

[ Ding! Caution!

Caution! ]

[ Sli#47 is getting contaminated with Eldritch’s aura! ]

[ Requesting Sli#47’s command to self-destruct! ]

[ —Y— or —N— ]

Elder Sli and all slis fell down, asleep. If one were to look from the sky, all the living creatures on the ground were falling one by one—Thud!—Thud!

[ ...Waiting for command! ]

[ Sli#47 is not responding! ]

[ Proceeding to kill the Sli#47! ]

[ Casting the ’Black lightening of Destruction’! ]

Boom! Crack!

The spider lood just in front of the young sli as—Ziiii!—a beam of black lightning struck down on Sli#47 from above.

The jelly blob turned into dust within the blink of an eye!

"AHhhh, TI GOD!..." the spider roared, voice splitting the sky.
